  • This study is to identify perceptions and response degrees of anxiety for each factor, targeting patients for CT test and analyze the relations between factors. It is to provide scientific fundamental data to reduce anxiety by improving awareness of patients about CT test by analyzing relations between variables. The subjects of this study were surveyed in self-writing type, targeting 263 patients for CT test in the department of radiology at three University hospitals from July to September, 2010. This survey was executed once by a structured self-administered survey type. The targeting patients for CT test of anxiety will investigate for affect. Anxiety by each CT test variables depending on CT test-related features showed independent variable is Expense Responsibility, Economic burden, Sufficient explain, Explain agent, Endoscope, Biopsy, Pre treatment, Previous experience, CT side effect experience, Side effect of contrast medium and dependent variable is physical, Hospital staff, Hospital environment, Socioeconomic These used statistics program SPSS (ver. 13.0). Summarizing the above results of this study, awareness of anxiety and response to it in each variable under CT test appeared significant differences in economic burdens, state anxiety, pre-treatment anxiety, exposure anxiety to radiation, and anxiety of side effect. Therefore, pre-treatment before test and pre-training programs on chemical poison of contrast medium and side effect seem to be able to release patients' anxiety level for CT test. Ways to meditate these anxiety variables and reduce degree of anxiety are needed to be researched more and updated. In addition, impact of patients' economic burdens on CT test anxiety is required to be recognized and solved in society level.

  • The purpose of this study was to investigate the relationship between the caries experience and anxiety level to the dentist in the preschool children. 511 preschool children were brought to the dental hospital and examined for caries experience. Caries experience was measured as dDT index, fFT index, dDfFT index, dDT rate, and fFT rate. Children were requested to draw a dentist. Drawings were analyzed by the method of Human Figure Drawing Anxiety Score. Pearson correlation coefficents and their significance were calculated between caries experience and anxiety scores. There were significant negative correlation between fFT index and anxiety scores, between dDfFT index and anxiety scores, and between fFT rate and anxiety scores. There was significant positive correlation between dDT rate and anxiety scores. The results seemed to suggest that dental treatment experience reduced children's anxiety toward dentists. But, because there was obvious negative correlation between age and anxiety scores, age factor should be considered in the interpretation of the results.

Validity, reliability, and item discrimination was based in responses of 1,831 subjects. Data were analyzed by factor analysis, correlation, Cronbach's, $\alpha$, mean, standard deviation, percentages, and t-test. The resulting Scale of Children's Mathematics Anxiety Coping Behavior consisted of 26 items with 5 factors : active problem-solving, aggressive emotion expression, aversive coping, passive coping, and seeking social support. • The purpose of this study is to examine the relationships between each type of attitudes toward money and the attributes of choosing family restaurants. A self-administrated questionnaire was completed by 387 students, and data were analysed by frequency, factor, reliability and canonical correlation. Seven factors were obtained from factor analysis of attitudes toward money; Factor 1 "power", Factor 2 "obsession", Factor 3 "retention", Factor 4 "achievement", Factor 5 "anxiety", Factor 6 "distrust", and Factor7 "evaluation". The attributes of family restaurant choice were extracted into six factors: Factor 1 "quality of food", Factor 2 "restaurant event", Factor 3 "interior environment", Factor 4 "value of food", Factor 5 "convenience for approach", and Factor 6 "employees' service". Canonical correlation analysis showed three significant functions. Canonical function 1 showed that the attitudes of considering the power of money, its retention and achievement were indicated to have significantly positive relationships with the quality of food in the attributes of choosing family restaurants. Canonical function 2 showed that significantly negative relationships between distrust and restaurant events and convenience for approach.
