Objectives : This study was examined to investigate the effects of Cheonmagudeng-um gagam (CGG) extract on spontaneous hypertension. Methods : For the study of CGG, we divided rats into three groups. The normal group was Wister Kyoto rats (WKY). The control group was spontaneously hypertensive rats (SHR). The treatment group was SHR which were administered CGG extract (SHR-CGG). SHR-CGG were orally administered CGG extract that was diluted in distilled water at the various concentrations for 4 weeks (234.5 mg/kg) and SHR were orally administered the same dosage of plain distilled water as SHR-CGG. Then we measured anti-oxygen effects, ACE inhibitory activity, weight of heart and kidney, blood pressure, heart rate, plasma aldosterone, electrolyte, creatinine, uric acid, BUN, and observed the cortex of the cardiac muscle, kidney, and adrenal gland. Results : CGG increased DPPH scavenging activity and SOD similar activity depending on the concentration. CGG significantly decreased ROS, TNF-${\alpha}$, IL-6, IL-$1{\beta}$, heart weight, blood pressure, heart rate, aldosterone, and BUN in SHR. CGG increased ACE inhibition activity depending on the concentration. CGG inhibited the heart, kidney and adrenal gland tissue injury that is caused by hypertension. Conclusions : These results suggest that CGG is effective in treatment and prevention of hypertension.
The aim of the present study was to investigate the effect of Hwangryeonheadock-Tang and Onchung-Eum on essential hypertension and hyperlipidemia. Rats were orally administered for 30days with Hwangryeonheadock-Tang and Onchung-Eum and the blood was withdrawn at 10, 20 and 30days after an oral administration. The heart rate, tail blood pressure, plasma renin activity, plasma level of aldosterone. catecholamine, sodium and angiotensin II were measured after an oral administration of Hwangryeonheadock-Tang and Onchung-Eum in spontaneously hypertensive rat(SHR). In addition, serum levels of total cholesterol, triglyceride, HDL-cholesterol. LDL-cholesterol and total lipid were measured cholesterol-fed rats. The results were summarized as follows ; 1. A significant decrease of tail blood pressure was shown at 10, 20 and 30days after Hwangryeonheadock-Tang and Onchung-Eum treatment in SHRs. compared with saline. 2. Heart rate was significantly decreased at 30days in SHRs after Hwangryeonheadock-Tang treatment and at 20, 30days after Onchung-Eum treatment in SHRs. compared with the effects of saline group. 3, A significant decrease of plasma aldosterone level was elicited at 10, 20days after Hwangryeonheadock-Tang treatment in SHRs, compared with the effects of saline group, 4. Plasma renin activity was significantly decreased at 10days after Onchung-Eum treatment compared with the effects of saline group in SHRs. 5. Plasma norepinephrine level was significantly decreased at 20 and 30clays after Onchung-Eum treatment in SHRs, compared with the effects of saline group. 6. A significant decrease of plasma epinephrine level was induced at 30days after Hwangryeonheadock-Tang treatment and at 10, 20 and 30days after Onchung-Eum treatment, compared with the effects of saline group in SHRs. 7. Plasma sodium level was. significantly decreased at 20days after Hwangryeonheadock-Tang and Onchung-Eum treatment, compared with the effects of saline group in SHRs. 8. Plasma angiotensin II level was significantly decreased at 30days after Onchung-Eum treatment, compared with the effects of saline group in SHRs. 9. A significant decrease of body weight was observed at 20 and 30days after Hwangryeonheadock-Tang treatment and at 10, 20 and 30days after Onchung-Eum treatment. compared with the effects of saline group in hyperlipidemia rats. 10. Hwangryeonheadock-Tang and Onchung-Eum showed a significantly decreasing effect at 30days on serum total cholesterol level in hyperlipidemia rats, compared with the saline treatment. 11. Hwangryeonheadock-Tang and Onchung-Eum saw 20 and 30days respectively on serum triglyceride level in the saline treatment. 12. Hwangryeonheadock-Tang and Onchung-Eum decreased on serum HDL-cholesterol level significantly, compared with the saline treatment in hyperlipidemia rats. 13. A significant decrease of serum LDL-cholesterol was observed at 10 and 30days after Hwangryeonheadock-Tang treatment and at 30days after Onchung-Eum treatment, compared with the effects of saline group in hyperlipidemia rats. 14. Hwangryeonheadock-Tang had a significantly decreasing effect at 10, 20 and 30days on serum total lipid level, compared with the saline treatment in hyperlipidemia rats. 15. Hwangryeonheadock-Tang elicited a significantly decreasing effect on weight of kidneys, spleen and testes respectively and Onchung-Eum induced on weight of liver and spleen respectively in hyperlipidemia rats, compared with saline treatment. These Findings suggest a possible anti-hypertensive and anti-hyperlipidemic effect of Hwangryeonheadock-Tang and Onchung-Eum.

Obesity is a major risk factor for cardiovascular disease. In our case study using animal models for disease states such as obesity or hypertension, we found that, Isaria sinclairii remarkably reduced body weight and ameliorated metabolic abnormalities in Zucker and SHR rats. Genetically obese (fa/fa) Zucker rats were one animal model chosen for this study. Four groups of rats received a standard diet and were treated orally with the following test samples daily for 8 weeks: saline (negative control), ethanol extracts of I. sinclairii, hot water extract of I. sinclairii, or $Xenical^{(R)}$ (30 mg/kg, positive control). Mild reductions (6.3%) in body weight gain were observed in the groups treated with the hot water extract of I. sinclairii compared to the control after 8 weeks. Interestingly, organ weight was greatly reduced by this Dongchunghacho (I. sinclairii), in parallel with the mild reductions in body weight gain and reductions in abdominal fat (adipose tissue). Also observed was a 4.1 % decrease in the ratio of heart weight/body weight compared to the control group. As a hypertensive animal model, SHR (spontaneously hypertensive rat) and WKY (Wistar Kyoto) rats were also administered these extracts for one month. Treatment with the hot water extract of I. sinclairii caused greater reductions in body weight gain for the SHR group (10.9%) compared to the WKY group's (5.2%). Based on these results, I. sinclairii extracts contain selective action for anti-obesity activity, naturally occurring candidate for regulation of body weight increase, as demonstrated in the present study.
Because physiological changes that potentially alter pharmacokinetics occurs in diabetes mellitus patients, pharamacokinetics of drugs used in the treatment of hypertension was studied using acebutolol as a model anti-hypertensive drug. Thus, the pharmacokinetics of acebutolol was investigated after oral administration of acebutolol (15 mg/kg) to control rabbits and rabbits with acute or chronic diabetes mellitus induced by alloxan. Kidney and liver functions were documented for acute and chronic diabetes mellitus groups based on plasma chemistry data. After oral administration of acebutolol to acute and chronic groups, the plasma concentrations appeared higher; As a result, area under the plasma concentration-time curve from time zero to time infinity10575 and 8668 $\mu g\cdot$ h/mL for acute and chronic group, respectively. In comparison, the area was apparently smaller in the control group (i.e., 7132 $\mu g\cdot$ h/mL). The half-life in acute groups was significantly prolonged 8.45 h compared with the half-life in the control group (i.e., 6.30 h). Alteration in acebutolol pharmacokinetics was more pronounced in the acute group as evidenced by the significantly higher values the area under the plasma concentration time curve, absorption rate constant and maximum plasma concentration compared with chronic or control group. Therefore, these observations indicate that acebutolol pharmacokinetics may be affected in patients with diabetes mellitus, especially in the early stage of the disease.

In a course of hypertension study, We applied aromatherapy to the control of hypertension. Aromatherapy is the practice of using of volate plant oils including essential oils, for psychological and physical well-being. Essential oils are drawn into the body by the sense smell not only does the aroma of the true plant stimulate the brain to the trigger a positive effect, but supply physical benefits also. In Europe and North America, The study and development of aromatherapy is lively in progress. In the control of hypertension, We applied Lavender, Majoram, Ylang-Ylang to forty-two hypertensive patients. After aromatherapy for controlling hypertension. We measured the changes of the systolic blood pressure & the diastolic blood pressure of patients by time. As the result of above study, We identified the significance of blood pressure down by aromatherapy.
Objective : The purpose of this study is to evaluate the clinical effect of the non-pharmacological anti-hypertension method, acupuncture, for hypertensive patients. Methods : 26 patients diagnosed with hypertension were each treated by one of three methods: an anti-hypertension drug(adalat soft capsule), venepuncture, and acupuncture. In cases of rising blood pressure, patients were treated by their one of the three methods, and blood pressure was measured at regular intervals. Result : As for the group of acupuncture treated patients on Young-gol(ling-gu) and Gang-ap-hyul(jiang-ya-xue), readings dropped 18.0mmHg in systolic blood pressure and 6.50mmHg in diastolic blood pressure. This was a greater effect than that seen in the venepuncture treated patients. Blood pressure checked one hour after acupuncture treatment showed a greater difference than blood pressure checked after thirty minutes. Conclusion : Safe reductions in blood pressure were observed through the non-pharmacological method of acupuncture on Young-gol(ling-gu) and Gang-ap-hyul(Jiang-ya-xue).

Percutaneous transluminal renal angioplasty (PTRA) is the current treatment of choice for renal artery revascularization, but renal autotransplantation has been an alternative treatment for complex cases. Here we report a 14-year-old boy with severe hypertension successfully treated with PTRA and renal autotransplantation. Doppler ultrasonography and computed tomography (CT) angiography revealed slight narrowing in the right renal artery ostium and complete obstruction in the left renal artery ostium with multiple collaterals. PTRA with stent insertion was performed for the treatment of the right renal artery, but it was impossible for the left renal artery due to the total obstruction. Therefore, left nephrectomy for autotransplantation was done with the peritoneal approach and the left kidney was autotransplanted to the ipsilateral iliac fossa. Postoperatively, Doppler ultrasonography and mercapto-acetyl-triglycine (MAG-3) renogram were performed, which showed normal renal artery blood flow and kidney function. Blood pressure was normalized and anti-hypertensive drugs were gradually tapered. Fibromuscular dysplasia was suspected to be responsible for the renal artery stenosis based on clinical aspects. In conclusion, renal autotransplantation is also a good treatment option for children with severe renovascular hypertension when endovascular treatment has failed or is not possible.

Apoptosis is the ability of cells to self-destruct by the activation of an intrinsic cellular suicide program when the cells are no longer needed or when they are seriously damaged. Morphologically, apoptosis is characterized by the appearance of membrane blebbing, cell shrinkage, chromatin condensation, DNA cleavage, and the fragmentation of the cell membrane-bound apoptotic bodies. Siegesbeckia glabrescens Makino (Siegesbeckiae Herba, SG) has been widely used as treatments for arthritis, and fever, as well as detoxification properties. The present studies were undertaken to evaluate if SG has an anti-apoptotic property. Cell viability was measured by XTT and tryphan blue stain. Morphological characteristic of human aortic smooth muscle cells(HASMC) were visualized with a phase-contrast microscope. SG significantly reduced HASMC, but not human umbilical vein endothelial cell(HUVEC), viability in a dose-dependent manner. Confluent untreated cells at 24hrs showed normal morphology, flat with a uniform polygonal shape. SG-treated cells (0.5㎎/㎖) at 24hrs showed apoptotic morphology. Cells became irregular with elongated lamellipodia, and exhibited condensed chromatin in nuclei with occasional endoucleation. There was an increase in the number of apoptotic cells rounding-up and being detached from the substrate. TUNEL staining of SG-treated cells showed dark-brown stains in nuclei and cytosol. Caspases are central components of the machinery responsible for apoptosis and are generally divided into two categories; the initiator caspases, which include caspases-2,-8,-9, and -10, and the effector caspases, which include caspases-3,-6, and -7. SG decreased anti-caspase-3 protein expression, which means activation of caspases-3 activity. It has been reported that there is a link between NO formation and apoptosis. NO production was accelerated by SG treatment in HASMC. L-NNA, NOS inhibitor, inhibited SG-induced apoptosis. These results, therefore, indicated that both caspases-3 and NO production are involved in apoptosis in smooth muscle cells. According to these results, SG may have a potential effect in the treatment of hypertensive atherosclerosis.
Objectives : To estimate the awareness, treatment and control rate, as well as to identify the awareness-related factors for hypertension. Methods : The study participants were 482 adults (men 206, women 276), aged 45 or over, diagnosed with hypertension and living in Chuncheon. The awareness rate was defined as the proportion of persons among those with hypertension who had previously been diagnosed by a physician. The treatment rate was defined as the proportion of persons who had used anti-hypertensive medication, among those who were aware of their hypertension. The control rate was defined as the proportion of persons who kept blood pressure normal, among those who had been treated for their hypertension. Multivariable logistic regression analysis was carried out for the awareness-related factors using SAS VER 8.1. Results : The awareness, treatment, and control rate were 55,8% (53.4% for men; 57.6% for women), 89.6% (87,2% for men; 91.2% for women), and 34.4% (28.1 % for men; 38.6% for women), respectively. The awareness-related factors included a family history of hypertension (odds ratio[OR], 5.63; 95% confidence interval[95% CI]=1.53-20.72), smoking([Ex; OR 0.38, 95% CI= 0.15-0.96)], [Current; OR 0.28, 95% CI=0.10-0.80]), and alcohol intake ([Ex; OR 3.22, 95% CI 1.03-10.09],[Current; OR 3.36, 95% CI=1.30-8.71]) for men, and education(OR 2.23, 95% CI=1.10-4.53), body mass index(OR 2.72, 95% CI=1.13-6.53), and self-rated health(OR 2.38, 95% CI=1.07-5.30) for women. Conclusions : The awareness rate of hypertension among the middle aged and elderly in Chuncheon was 55.8%. The related factors of awareness were gender specific. Further studies are needed to elucidate the putative reasons for these gender differences.

The aim of the study was the experiment of the effect that Kami-Daesihotang had on the essential hypertension and hyperlipidemia. Rats were orally administered with Kami-Daesihotang for 30days and the constituent of the plasma and serum were analysed at the 10th, 20th and 30th day from the first day of experiment, respectively. The heart rate, blood pressure, plasma renin activity, plasma level of aldosterone, catecholamine, sodium and angiotensin II were measured after an oral administration of Kami-Daesihotang in SHR. In addition, serum levels of total cholesterol, triglyceride, HDL-cholesterol, LDL-cholesterol and total lipid were measured with cholesterol-fed rats. The results were summarized as following ; 1. Single-dosage Kami-Daesihotang & double-dosage Kami-Daesihotang remarkably decreased the blood pressure in SHR. 2. Double-dosage Kami-Daesihotang were recognized as having the effect on the decreased of the pulse rate in SHR. 3. Plasma renin activity was significantly decreasd in SHR after single-dosage Kami-Daesihotang & double-dosage Kami-Daesihotang treatment. 4. Double-dosage Kami-Daesihotang considerably reduced the plasma angiotensin level in SHR. 5. Noticeable decreased of plasma norepinephrine level was showed in SHR, after single-dosage Kami-Daesihotang & double-dosage Kami-Daesihotang treatment. 6. Single-dosage Kami-Daesihotang & double-dosage Kami-Daesihotang noticeable reduced body weight in hyperlipidemia rats which had fed with 1% cholesterol. 7. Single-dosage Kami-Daesihotang & double-dosage Kami-Daesihotang had a significantly decreasing effect on serum total cholesterol in hyperlipidemia rats which had fed with 1% cholesterol. 8. Serum triglyceride level was importantly decreased in hyperlipidemia rats which had fed with 1% cholesterol, after single-dosage Kami-Daesihotang & double-dosage Kami-Daesihotang treatment. 9. Remarkable decreased of serum low density lipoprotein cholesterol level was found in hyperlipidemia rats which had fed with 1% cholesterol, after single-dosage Kami-Daesihotang & double-dosage Kami-Daesihotang treatment. 10. Double-dosage Kami-Daesihotang was showed a significantly decreasing effect on serum total lipid level in hyperlipidemia rats which had fed with 1% cholesterol. 11. Single-dosage Kami-Daesihotang noticeably reduced organ weight of liver, kidney, spleen and testis in hyperlipidemia rats which had fed with 1% cholesterol. Double-dosage Kami-Daesihotang significantly decreased organ weight of liver, kidney and spleen in hyperlipidemia rats. These Findings suggest a possible anti-hypertensive and hyperlipidemic effect of Kami-Daesihotang.

일시정지, 이용계약 해지 할 수 있습니다.
제 17 조 (전자우편주소 수집 금지)
회원은 전자우편주소 추출기 등을 이용하여 전자우편주소를 수집 또는 제3자에게 제공할 수 없습니다.
제 6 장 손해배상 및 기타사항
제 18 조 (손해배상)
당 사이트는 무료로 제공되는 서비스와 관련하여 회원에게 어떠한 손해가 발생하더라도 당 사이트가 고의 또는 과실로 인한 손해발생을 제외하고는 이에 대하여 책임을 부담하지 아니합니다.
제 19 조 (관할 법원)
서비스 이용으로 발생한 분쟁에 대해 소송이 제기되는 경우 민사 소송법상의 관할 법원에 제기합니다.

1. (시행일) 이 약관은 2016년 9월 5일부터 적용되며, 종전 약관은 본 약관으로 대체되며, 개정된 약관의 적용일 이전 가입자도 개정된 약관의 적용을 받습니다.
