  • During feeding oxidizer to the engine, vortices are occurred at lower dome of oxidizer tank inside by various working environments and external forces for liquid propellant feeding system of space launch vehicle. To eliminate the vortices or swirls Anti-Vortex Devices(AVD) shall be installed at inside lower oxidizer tank. Using the numerical analysis, we have confirmed the performance of AVD and analyzed the mass flow rate by feeding time and magnitudes of swirls on the free surface of oxidizer or exit surface according to the AVD number and length. Then we could derive the optimal design of the AVD number and length.

  • Purpose - The purpose of this paper is to investigate the determinants of corporate anti-corruption practice disclosure (ACPD) from the perspective of rent-seeking theory. Research design, data, and methodology - Data are hand-collected from corporate social responsibility reports (CSRR) issued by 724 A-share listed firms in China. This paper provides an empirical analysis of the relationship between ownership structure and corporate ACPD as well as its moderating role in the institutional environment. Results - Our findings indicate that rent-seeking is a key factor in influencing corporate ACPD. State-owned enterprises disclose significantly more anti-corruption information than private ones in order to achieve personal promotion of top executives. Monopoly enterprises reported significantly less anti-corruption information than enterprises in competitive industries due to their rent-seeking behavior. The reduction of government intervention and improvement of legal environment are helpful to curb corporate rent-seeking activities and enhance the level of corporate ACPD. Conclusions - Rent-seeking is an important factor in explaining corporate voluntary disclosure in emerging countries. Institutional environment also plays a moderating role in the relationship between ownership structure and corporate voluntary disclosure. Our results are of interest to policy makers, regulators and market participants that are interested in corporate voluntary disclosure and corruption prevention.

  • In order to study the shearing characteristic of anti-vibration sheet metal which is used to reduce vibration noise, a blanking die was manufactured to blank a workpiece. The variables employed in this study were clearance, type of stripper plate, position of the rubber layer and type of the die design. These variables were used to study the effects on burr height, blank diameter and camber height. In the case of burr height from experimental investigation, the push-back die, combined with a movable stripper plate, showed greater burr height. The rubber-top position of a workpiece resulted in better qualities regardless of working variables. In the comparison of diameter measurement, the use of the push-back die with a fixed stripper plate, with a 4.5% clearance, showed better accuracy. For comparing camber height, the push-back die resulted in less cambering than the drop-through die. Also, the larger the clearance, the greater was the camber height. Considering experimental results, the shearing of anti-vibrational sheet metal is best achieved when the rubber layer is laying on the top, blanked with a fixed stripper plate in a push-back die, with a 4.5% clearance.

  • In the motorized retractor of the smart seat belt system, anti-overload clutch is a very important element to prevent the excessive belt tensional force. Anti-overload clutch is the essential device to protect drivers from chest damage by the excessive belt tension. It generates slipping motion under excessive webbing moment and the belt tensional force is limited below critical value. In this study, slipping mechanism in the antioverload clutch is investigated by analysis and experiment. On the prototype model, finite element analysis is performed to identify the slipping condition and to determine the critical load. Analysis result is compared with the experimental result and the validity of the analysis model is verified. The purpose of the study is to provide the analytical background for the systematic design of the anti-overload clutch mechanism.

  • In this thesis, a RFID baseband system is implemented based on the international standard ISO/IEC 18000-6 Type-B using FPCA, and also anti-collision algorithm is implemented to improve the system performance. We compares the performance of the proposed anti-collision algorithm with that binary tree algorithm and bit-by-bit algorithm, and also validated analytic results using OPNET simulation. The proposed algorithm for Type-B transmission protocol and collision prohibition was designed using ISE7.1i which is a FPGA design-tool of Xilinx and implemented with Spartan2 chip which is a FPGA device.

  • In this paper, we have designed the Anti-Aircraft Artillery(AAA) model for the surface-to-air virtual engagement. The AAA model for the virtual combat simulation needs to detect the present target and estimate the target flight trajectory to find the aiming point. To find collision point of projectile fired from the artillery with the moving air target, we have presented the estimating technique for artillery aiming point. And we have analyzed the target probability of kill using Calton Hit function. Anti-air threat envelops are presented when the target velocity, position and the arrangement of four AAA are varying. Then we have compared the analyzed result using developed model with AEM model of MSA program.

  • Bans on TBT based antifouling paints have been drafted since 1999 by meetings 42, 43, 45 and 46 for the MEPC (Marine Environmental Protection Committee) of the International Marine Organization, and decided finally at a Diplomatic Conference of the IMO in October 2001. It was a key issue that there should be a global prohibition on the application of organo-tin compounds as biocides in Anti-fouling systems by Jan. 2003, and a complete prohibition on te presence of organo-tin compounds on ships by 1 Jan. 2008. This paper suggests a method to design International Anfi-fouling system cretificate, Record of anti-fouling system, Endorsement of the Records, Declaration on Anti-fouling System, Port State Control and reform(legislative) associated a law.

  • Purpose - In recent, Japanese retailers have expanded their business into Korea, although Korean customers have anti-Japan sentiment in their mind, It is, thus, necessary to investigate how Korean customers react to Japanese retailers, when selecting a shopping place. Research design, data, and methodology - The authors have developed a research model with five hypotheses, based on the literature review process, and used confirmative factor analysis(CFA) as well as a structural equation model(SEM) as a research technique, in order to verify hypotheses. Results - All of hypotheses are accepted. Anti-Japan sentiment significantly influences consumer ethnocentrism and animosity. Interestingly, consumer ethnocentricity affects the formation process of animosity. Rather than ethnocentrism, animosity relatively influences customer attitudes towards Japanese retailers, when Korean customers choose a retailer. Conclusions - The authors found that anti-Japan sentiment has significantly affected Korean customer attitudes. In order for Japanese retailers to increase their market shares in the Korean market, they have to make a significant effort to alleviate the degree of anti-Japan sentiment, together with Japanese government. In contrast with research findings, Japanese retailers have done their business very well in Korea. Considering that Japanese retailers target younger customers in Korea, demographic elements should be involved in the future research.

  • This paper presents a 13.56 MHz RFID reader that can be used as a door-lock system for smart home security. The RFID reader consists of a transmitter, a receiver, and a data processing block. To verify the operation of the developed RFID reader, we present both a PSPICE simulation for transmitter/receiver and a digital simulation for data processing block. In particular, a CRC block for error detection of received data and a Manchester decoding block for position detection of collided data are designed using VHDL. In addition, we applied a binary search algorithm for multi-tag anti-collision. The anti-collision procedure is carried out by PIC microcontroller on software. The experimental results show that the developed reader can provide the right multi-tag recognition.

  • We present the design and implementation of a novel anti-malware system called SplitScreen. SplitScreen performs an additional screening step prior to the signature matching phase found in existing approaches. The screening step filters out most non-infected files (90%) and also identifiesmalware signatures that are not of interest (99%). The screening step significantly improves end-to-end performance because safe files are quickly identified and are not processed further, and malware files can subsequently be scanned using only the signatures that are necessary. Our approach naturally leads to a network-based anti-malware solution in which clients only receive signatures they needed, not every malware signature ever created as with current approaches. We have implemented SplitScreen as an extension to ClamAV, the most popular open source anti-malware software. For the current number of signatures, our implementation is $2{\times}$ faster and requires $2{\times}$ less memory than the original ClamAV. These gaps widen as the number of signatures grows.
