Answer Pattern for Definitional Question-Answering System (정의형 질의응답 시스템을 위한 정답 패턴)

  • In this paper, we describe the answer pattern for definitional question-answering system. The .answer extraction method of a definitional question-answering system is different from the general answer extraction method because it presents the descriptive answer for a definitional question. The definitional answer extraction using the definitional answer pattern can extract the definitional answer correctly without the semantic analysis. The definitional answer pattern is consist of answer pattern, conditional rule and priority to extract the correct definitional answer. We extract the answer pattern from the definitional training corpus and determine the optimum conditional rule using F-measure. Next, we determine the priority of answer patterns using precision and syntactic structure. Our experiments show that our approach results in the precision(0.8207), the recall(0.9268) and the F-measure(0.8705). It means that our approach can be used efficiently for a definitional question-answering system.

  • In this paper, we propose a method to extract a definitional answer sentence for a Definitional Question-Answering System. definitional answer sentence patterns are manually constructed with restriction rules to patterns, and a ranking information of the pattern using its frequency from the corpus. answer sentence pattern consists of the syntactic structure of a definitional answer sentence, and clue words. this system show 83% accuracy for untrained corpus.

  • The purpose of this study is to specify the quality of I-R-E pattern and question-answer affiliation between students and teacher, depending on teacher's career. This study analyzes 6 classroom discourse texts of 6th grade science class. The results of this study are as follows. First, in the case of a newly appointed teacher, I-R-E pattern is appeared repeatedly. Second, in the case of experienced teachers, expended I-R-E pattern is appeared compare with a newly appointed teacher. Third, in the case of a newly appointed teacher, independence relational structure is appeared more repeatedly than other structures. But, in the case of experienced teachers, all kinds of question-answer structures - independence, parallel, insertion, and reorganization relational structure - are appeared more evenly.

  • This dissertation about the wrong answer note model development which is individualized investigates a problem. The method which is used from here uses a group sincerity and adds wrong answer analysis leads and to the wrong answer person explanation note of the pattern which is similar refers a wrong answer note explanation. The result which this dissertation is principal will reach to the wrong answer where is not the explanation about right answer and the process which is incorrect and a wrong answer will seek will be able to arrange. There is a possibility of finding the solution which existing wrong answer note system is improved with the method which is proposed.

AN IMPLEMENTATION AND EVALUATION OF RANDOMIZED-ANN SIMULATOR USING A PC CLUSTER

  • We propose a PC cluster using general-purpose microprocessors and a high-speed network for simulating ANN (Artificial Neural Network) processes on Linux OS. We apply this cluster to intelligent information processing such as ANN simulation. The elapsed time for simulating ANNs can be reduced from 7,295 seconds by a PE (Processing Element) to 1,226 seconds by six PEs. The reliability of a pattern-classification using ANNs can be improved by the proposed ANN, Randomized-ANN. In order to generate a Randomized-ANN, we choose three ANNs and combine the output results from three huts by means of logical AND. Results are as follows: The mean correct answer rate is 94.4%, the mean wrong answer rate is only 0.1 %, and the mean unknown answer rate is 5.5 %. We make sure that Randomized-ANN approach reduces the mean wrong answer rate within a tenth part and improves the reliability of Japanese coin classification.

  • We propose a fast and powerful Question-answering (QA) system in Korean, which uses a predictive answer indexer based on 2-pass scoring method. The indexing process is as follows. The predictive answer indexer first extracts all answer candidates in a document. Then, using 2-pass scoring method, it gives scores to the adjacent content words that are closely related with each answer candidate. Next, it stores the weighted content words with each candidate into a database. Using this technique, along with a complementary analysis of questions which is based on lexico-syntactic pattern matching method, the proposed QA system saves response time and enhances the precision.

  • Even though the double bounded contingent valuation method(DBCVM) is an efficient estimation method of the willingness to pay for a non-market good, it has long been criticized to be an inappropriate estimation method because of interdependence of subsequent two answers during a course of survey. Many experimental studies have reported that two subsequent answers are not made independently, but the second answer depends upon the first answer. There are many hypotheses contending a different pattern of dependence of the answers. In this study, the dependence of two answers are tested. But no dependence pattern has been detected.

  • An attention task, in which context information should be extracted from the first presented pattern, and the recognition answer of the second presented pattern should be generated using the context information, is employed in this paper. An Elman-type recurrent neural network is utilized to extract and keep the context information. A reinforcement signal that indicates whether the answer is correct or not, is only a signal that the system can obtain for the learning. Only by this learning, necessary context information became to be extracted and kept, and the system became to generate the correct answers. Furthermore, the function of an associative memory is observed in the feedback loop in the Elman-type neural network.

A Study on the Meal Pattern of Liberal High School Students in Inchon (인천지역 인문계 고교생의 식사형태에 관한 연구)

  • This study is carried out to investigate the actual meal pattern of liberal high school students, who usually spend most of their time outside their homes preparing for the college entrance examination. The result of which tells the urgent need of extension and improvement in the school provision system. We select a total of 611 liberal high students in the city of Incheon, both males and females, of the first, second, and the third graders. The results are as follows; Only 39.6% of the students have breakfast and 14.7% of the students answer they always skip over breakfast. At lunch time, most of, i.e. 89.9% of the students have lunch and 80.4% of them usually carry lunch with themselves. Seniors show a tendency to have lunch quite earlier than the school-stated time, which signifies that many of seniors should bring more than one lunch to school in order not to lack enough calories. 45.8% of the students among those who do not dispense with supper take supper in the form of lunch. Many other students substitute Ra-myon for rice meal at supper time. As we can induce, the students need between-meal refreshments. 48.8% answer they have a snack more often than not, and 40.2% of them say they need a snack because of hunger. 82.1% of the students usually stay at school almost for 12 hours a day, and they mostly depend on lunch for their two meals. But lunch cannot provide balanced nutrition for them because of its restricted choice of nutrutional elements. The data above make it sure that the extension of the school provision system is really demanded. 86.6% of the students answer they feel the urgency of its operation.

Korean Question-Answering System using Syntactic-Relation Information (구문 관계 정보를 이용한 한국어 질의-응답 시스템)

  • This paper describes the Korean Question answering system using the syntactic-relation information d verbs to overcome lack of reliable knowledge and linguistic resources. The syntactic-relation information consists d the original form d a verb, usual usage pattern, semantic category of each dependent noun, synonym verbs and passive verbs. We use the syntactic-relation information to parse sentences or phrases with usual usage pattern of the verb and semantic conditions of dependent components on the verb. We also use that information to parse answer candidate sentences, and find an answer from questioned case slot. Our experiments that usage of the syntactic-relation information of verbs to mm lack of reliable knowledge and linguistic resources can be utilized efficiently for the Korean question answering system.
