In this study, the two-dimensional generalized finite integral transform(FIT) approach was extended for new accurate thermal buckling analysis of fully clamped orthotropic thin plates. Clamped-clamped beam functions, which can automatically satisfy boundary conditions of the plate and orthogonality as an integral kernel to construct generalized integral transform pairs, are adopted. Through performing the transformation, the governing thermal buckling equation can be directly changed into solving linear algebraic equations, which reduces the complexity of the encountered mathematical problems and provides a more efficient solution. The obtained analytical thermal buckling solutions, including critical temperatures and mode shapes, match well with the finite element method (FEM) results, which verifies the precision and validity of the employed approach.

The velocity profiles in the laminar free convection boundary layer on a uniformly heated vertical plate are measured by a Laser Doppler Velocimeter for air in the range of modified Grashof number G $r_{\chi}$*=1.172x10$^{9}$ . The fringe mode, forward scatter type of the LDV system is used and the small magnesium oxide particles are used for the scattering pafticles. The analytical non-dimensionalized velocity profiles are obtained by use of an analog computer for the comparison with the experimental results. The experimental reults are in good agreement with the analytical solution obtained with an aid of the analog computer.er.

Modal vibration characteristics of a thin annular disk containing narrow radial slots are studied numerically and experimentally. Existing analytical solution is examined based on these results revealing that it can not precisely predict eigenvalues of the disk with slots since it does not accurately consider change in the vibration modes and change in strain energy density distributions due to the slots. Parametric study on slot length found that distortions in the mode shape as well as changes in the corresponding natural frequencies are proportional to the slot length. Consequently, errors in the calculated eigenvalues are also proportional to the slot length and accurate data can not be obtained with existing analytical solution above a certain level of slot length. Same phenomena can be observed in both free-free disk and fixed-free disk.

The on-line SPE-HPLC coupling system was developed for the efficient separation and determination of trace pesticides, such as phenoxyacetic acids and esters, and triazines in aqueous solutions. By using the developed SPE-HPLC on-line system, the band broadening usually observed in single precolumn switching mode was greatly reduced, consequently, the quantitative determination of trace pesticides could be achieved, Besides, since most of the analytes preconcentrated by SPE column could be injected directly into HPLC system, the limit of detection can be improved down to ppt level.
We analyzed the experimental and theoretical behavior of a particular type of steel joint designed to connect beam to beam and able to transfer both shear forces and bending moments. This joint is characterized by the use of steel plates and bolts enclosed in the width of the beams. The experimental investigation was carried out characterizing the constituent materials and testing in flexure beams constituted by two portions of beams connected in the middle with the joint proposed. Connections having different characteristics in terms of thickness of plates, number and type of bolts were utilized. Flexure tests allow one to determine the loaddeflection curves of the beam tested and the moment-rotation diagrams of the connections, highlighting the strength and the strain capacity of the joints. The proposed analytical model allows one to determine the moment-rotation relationship of the connections, pointing out the influence of the principal geometrical and mechanic characteristics of single constituents on the full properties of the joint.
In steel and concrete composite girders, the load transfer between the steel beam and the concrete slab is commonly ensured by installing shear connectors. In this paper, to investigate the nonlinear behavior of perfobond connectors, a total of 60 push-out specimens were fabricated and tested with the variables for the hole diameter, the concrete strength, the thickness of concrete slab, the diameter, strength and existence of perforating rebar, the thickness, height and distance of perfobond ribs. The failure mode and the load-slip behavior of perfobond connectors were obtained. A theoretical model was put forward to express the load-slip relationship. Analytical formulas of shear capacity and peak slip were also proposed considering the interaction between the concrete dowel and the perforating rebar. The calculation results of the proposals agreed well with the experimental values.

This study focuses on the influence of a composite external strengthening on the natural frequencies of a steel beam with open cracks. In a first step, the leading parameters associated with the effect of the composite strengthening are experimentally identified. An analytical model is developed in order to quantify the importance of the force transfer within the resin interface. In a second step, the analytical model of a cracked beam with composite external strengthening is compared to experiments.
This study was carried out to confirm analytical method of residual macrolides in livestock products by LC/MS. 1. Macrolides were analyzed by LC/MS on XTerra C$\sub$18/ column with 0.1% TFA(trifluoroacetic acid)-methanol in a gradient mode as mobile phase, and that were identified by positive chemical ionization with selective ion monitoring at 50~1000 mass range. 2. Residual macrolides were extracted from tissue with acetonitrile, and the extract is purified with a Sep-pak C$\sub$18/ cartridge, and elute macrolides with 0.1M methanolic ammonium acetate. 3. The procedure confirms the presence of each macrolide at 50$\mu\textrm{g}$/kg in spiked sample.

The paper surveys various analytical models for IEEE 802.11 medium access control protocols and critically discusses recent issues developing in wireless mobile ad hoc networks and their MACs. The surveyed MAC protocols include the standard IEEE 802.11 MAC suites such as IEEE 802.11 DCF, IEEE 802.11 PCF, IEEE 802.11e EDCA, and IEEE 802.11 ad hoc mode; and also the newer, de facto MAC protocols. We study the analytic models of the standard MAC suites followed by the newer analytic models that have been published in recent years. Also, the paper tries to include most of current literatures discussing analytic modeling of MAC in conjunction to some critical issues such as contention among ad hoc nodes, hidden terminal problems, and real-time service support.
In this paper, free and force vibration behaviors of graphene-reinforced composite functionally graded (GRC-FG) cylindrical shells in thermal environments are investigated based on Reddy's third-order shear deformation theory (HSDT). The GRC-FG cylindrical shells are composed of piece-wise pattern graphene-reinforced layers which have different volume fraction. Based on the extended Halpin-Tsai micromechanical model, the effective material properties of the resulting nanocomposites are evaluated. Using the Hamilton's principle and the assumed mode method, the motion equation of the GRC-FG cylindrical shells is formulated. Using the time- and frequency-domain methods, free and force vibration properties of the GRC-FG cylindrical shell are analyzed. Numerical cases are provided to study the effects of distribution of graphene, shell radius-to-thickness ratio and temperature changes on the free and force vibration responses of GRC-FG cylindrical shells.
