  • Big data in the supply chain mainly comes from four aspects. One is the relevant data inevitably generated in the process of product value transfer of enterprises in the supply chain, such as production equipment quality data, planned procurement data, product data, etc; On the other hand, it is derived from the ERP data of various companies in the supply chain; The third is e-commerce data from the customer, and the last is data from external or manually entered data. A third-party data service center analysis and mining the data to predict and control the inventory in the process of supply chain operation. It brings innovation and change of management technology and way of thinking to the whole supply chain in many aspects, and finally achieves the goal of coordinated inventory and zero inventory of the whole supply chain.

  • Even though B2B EC is becoming popular, there have been not so much studies about performance evaluation methodology for B2B systems. In this paper, after analyzing buyer-carts systematically focusing on the buyer's interactional efforts on the typical buying processes of each buyer-cart, we propose a quantitative performance evaluation model. For this, we categorize buyer-carts in B2B EC as s-cart, i-cart, and b-cart depending upon its residing sites: seller, intermediary, and buyer sites. And after proposing the desired features of buyer-carts in B2B EC as identification, collection, trashing, ordering, payment, tracking, recording, purchasing decision support, and transmission of records to e-procurement systems, we derive a performance evaluation model by calculating detail sub-processes from the desired features' viewpoints. By setting variables from a survey on the actual condition of using buyer-carts in companies in Korea, we try to evaluate the performance of buyer-carts in B2B EC. In this paper, we suggest a new methodology of performance evaluation for B2B systems, and show that the b-cart platform is more efficient than other buyer-carts especially in B2B EC.

  • In South Korea, there have been attempts to enhance BIM work practices in various aspects. Public Procurement Service(PPS) has recently published 'basic guidelines to improve BIM work practices in construction and facility management'. It defines roles and responsibilities of project members in their application of BIM. It also developed a set of modelling standards and guidelines for effective model creation, management and communication among BIM users. Moreover, numerous construction companies have tried to cultivate BIM specialized manpower throughout entire construction phases. However, there are still challenges faced by firms during BIM adoption. Therefore, this study aims to provide practical counsel for construction companies to help them create optimized facilities and deliver high performance by analyzing BIM-based domestic construction projects in Korea from 2009 and 2015. The study will investigate types of client, project, BIM application range, and application technology.

  • Purpose - The purpose of this study was to analyze the impact of the National Space Policy on Korean space-related companies. Design/methodology/approach - This study utilized space sector firm-level data based on the list of the Space Industry Survey (MSIT, 2023). The multiple regression analysis was used to estimate the model. Findings - First, the lagged policy variable of the Master Plan for Promotion of Space Development positively influences the company's sales. However, the establishment of an Action Plan for Utilization of Satellite Information had no significant result. Second, small-sized enterprises were more sensitive to government policy than medium- and large-sized enterprises. Third, lagged policy variables positively impact firms' sales revenue, especially in the satellite manufacturing and the satellite utilization services and equipment sector. Research implications or Originality - First, support for companies with policy effects should be further expanded. Second, a long-term and stable budget procurement plan should be established to secure a firm's sustainable competitiveness. Lastly, given the characteristics of the space industry, which involves long-term development periods and large investments, government investment should continue. Simultaneously, institutional improvement needs to emerge new services in the space sector.
