PURPOSE: This study analyzed the research trends related to the International Classification of Functioning, Disability, and Health (ICF) to suggest an ICF utilization plan in the Korean clinical field. METHODS: In the RISS, KISS, NSDL, and PubMed databases, papers published between 2016 and July 2021 were collected by applying the search terms, 'ICF', 'international classification of functioning, disability and health', 'clinic', 'patient', and 'diagno'. The 44 papers selected were classified according to the analysis criteria, and the frequency and percentage were calculated. RESULTS: In domestic clinical trials, the frequency of ICF-related studies was in the order of physical therapy (n = 19) and occupational therapy (n = 14). The frequency of each study subject was observed in the order of studies related to a specific disease (n = 34) and prior studies (n = 7). The research topics were in the order of studies using ICF as a measurement tool (n = 21) and case studies with patients with specific diseases (n = 11). There were 18 studies using ICF codes and 14 papers applying the ICF domains. CONCLUSION: Over the last five years, ICF-related research in the domestic clinical field targeted patients with more diverse diseases in more expertise fields. Research for the unification of terms should be conducted for communication among various experts in clinical practice. To promote the use of ICF in the clinical field, it will be necessary to conduct research, such as the unification of terms, standardized education, development of ICF casebook, and development of ICF coding programs and guidelines.

Objectives : To establish objective and scientific evidence of Korean medicine (KM), the papers on Oryeong-san (Wuling-san) frequently used in medical institutions of Korean Medicine were analyzed. Methods : The papers were classified by the registration of domestic or international journals, the year of publication, experimental fields and the kinds of studies on biological activities. The therapeutic mechanism was investigated in accordance with therapeutic effect of Oryeong-san (Wuling-san). Results : Out of 57 articles selected, 16 were published in domestic journals, 17 were in Chinese journals and 24 were in Japanese journals. Most papers reported as biological activities were on improvement of renal function. Oryeong-san (Wuling-san) increased urine factor such as urine excretion and electrolyte balance while decreasing proteinuria, serum factors including creatinine, cholesterol and triglyceride. In addition, injured renal tissue was recovered normally and gene expression controlling urine excretion was down-regulated. Conclusions : Improvement of renal function could be interpreted as objective and scientific evidence for Oryeong-san (Wuling-san).

With the development of science and technology, an effort to investigate the current research trend of elementary science education will lead to future directions for elementary science education. This study set out to analyze papers published in Elementary Science Education by quantity, subject and methodology for the last ten years. The results were as follows: First, the number of papers has continuously increased for the last 30 years. Second, as for categorization by the functions of elementary science education, the number of papers was mainly published in the field of teacher education, which was followed by learning processes and teaching methods in the order. Third, in the field of the research subjects of elementary science education, many researches were conducted on scientific inquiries and concepts traditionally emphasized in elementary science education, and on gifted education recently implemented as part of national policy. Fourth, as for categorization by the methodologies of elementary science education, a survey study was the most popular, being followed by experimental study and literature study in the order. In recent years, researches based on the case study methodology have visibly grown in numbers, which seems to part of efforts to find implications with new methodologies among researchers facing limitations with the old ones in the middle of uniqueness called education.

This paper uses 601 cited papers of Pakistani LIS researchers with the purpose to examine the individual performance of these Library and Information Science (LIS) researchers in terms of their research output and its impact on the LIS (national/international) literature by using various bibliometric indicators. A list of 139 authors was compiled with the help of the Library, Information Science, and Technology Abstracts (LISTA) and some other sources. Data were collected from Google Scholar and SPSS version 20 was utilized in order to identify the relationship between self-citations and various performance indices of the authors. The average citations received per paper vary from 1.80 to 10.08. About half of the papers were single-authored whereas less than one-fifth were by three or more authors. The authors who worked in collaboration produced more papers and received more citations. The h-index, g-index, hI-index, hI-norm, and e-index were used to determine the rank for each author. The intra-group citations grid revealed the volume of self-citations and a small group who cite each other more due to close academic and social relationships. The correlations between self-citations and the impact indices used revealed significant differences. Findings are useful for concerned institutions regarding award, promotions, etc. Further, future research should seriously consider the self-citations and social networking of authors while examining their citations-based research performance.

In this paper, we compared the efficiencies of national R&D investments between NT (Nanotechnology) areas in terms of papers, patents, and commercializations, and found ways to improve the efficiencies of national R&D investments for each NT area. This is in response to huge R&D investments government has made recently in NT areas. Here, we collected data on investments, papers, patents, and commercializations for the R&D projects in NT areas through National Science & Technology Information Service. Based on the data, we analyzed the investment and performances (papers, patents, and commercializations) for each NT area, calculated the efficiency for each NT area, and compared the efficiencies between NT areas. Next, using cluster analysis, we identified several NT areas with similar characteristics in terms of paper efficiency, patent efficiency and commercialization efficiency. Finally, we derived implications for the efficiency enhancement for each grouping. The cluster analysis showed that there could be two groups, one being low in terms of technological outcome (papers and patents) efficiencies and high in terms of commercialization efficiencies, while the other being high in terms of technological outcome (papers and patents) efficiencies and low in terms of commercialization efficiencies. Therefore, the strategy for one group calls for support for technology transfer or technology introduction from other R&D performers and grant of guidance for improving R&D performers' commercialization ability to other R&D performers while the strategy for the other group calls for R&D support for transfer of technology to other R&D performers, activation of technology transfer and support for commercialization of R&D performers.

Objective : This study's purpose was to review the clinical studies of Banha-Sasim-Tang. Method : We searched papers about Banha-Sasim-Tang using KISS, KTKP, PUBMED, Embase, Science Direct, and the key words 'Hangeshashinto', 'Ban Xia Xie Xin Tang', 'Pinellia Heart-Draining Decoction', 'Banhasasim tang' were used. Papers not matched with inclusion criteria were excluded. Results : Until today, there have been 65 studies on the Banha-Sasim-Tang. Of these, 12 studies were classified as clinical research papers. There were 4 cases of Functional Dyspepsia, 2 cases of Peptic Ulcer, 6 case of Oral mucositis induced by Anti-cancer Therapy. Conclusion : It can be seen that Banha-Sasim-Tang has established the basis for application to the purpose of functional dyspepsia, peptic ulcer and oral mucositis induced by anti-cancer therapy.

The Journal of the Korean Solar Energy Society is the first journal in South Korea that adopts wind energy as one of its subjects. Since 2000, more than 140 papers on wind energy have been published in the journal, which accounts for 8.5% of the total publication. However, in recent years, the number of published papers on wind energy has been decreasing steadily, and a reason for this decline is the significant dependence on a few specific institutions and authors. In this study, wind energy subjects were classified using the frequency analysis of the subject words extracted from the title, keywords, and abstract of wind energy papers using the text mining technique. In addition, the Korea Citation Index was used to perform quantitative level evaluation by subject and institution and to analyze the trends and characteristics of the wind energy field. Therefore, it was identified that in terms of the number of publications and citations, the main subject areas were resource/micrositing and policy/potential.

According to IHS, the overall display market is expected to grow at an average annual rate of 6% from $ 104 billion in 2016, to $ 138 billion in 2021. Among them, the OLED display panel will grow from $ 15 billion to $ 41 billion over the same period, forecasting a high annual growth rate of 22%. However, the refraction index, light leakage, bubble generation, adhesion deterioration, peeling phenomenon, moisture resistance, light transmittance, low turbidity. OCA (optically clear adhesive), which solves problems such as improving the resistance of the conductive film, is largely dependent on imported products. In addition, in 2016, the world market is worth KRW4.3 trillion, and the adhesive market has a large market effect. In this study, we tried to analyze the technical competitiveness of patent and thesis by classifying OCA (optically clear adhesive, optical adhesive) for display panel by curing method. As a result of the study, the amount of patents and papers in Korea was found to be superior to other competitors, but the quality level was low. In particular, it was found that the achievements of the papers in the hot melt field are lacking and the government should expand its support.

Purpose: As the need to transition into the distribution of cleaner energy has garnered corporate and scholarly interests, this study aims to track the research trends in sustainable energy supply chains for five years before 2021. Research methodology: This study was conducted by a bibliometric literature review and analysis to map the field's evolution between 2016 and 2020. Out of an initial title search result of 2,484 papers from the Scopus engine, filtering led to 180 documents obtained. The data was exported in excel format (CSV) to VOSviewer software to generate and analyze network visualization of sustainable energy supply chain trends. Results: The results revealed China's the highest publishing country, with 36 research papers. The Journal of Cleaner Production was the top publishing source, with 22 papers per year. These findings showed five clusters formed in the bibliographic coupling of countries. Circular Economy and Green Supply Chain Management represent the current hot topics. Research gaps identified in the field included limited cross-industry testing and modifying sustainable supply chain models. Conclusion: This paper contributes to the sustainability literature on supply chains by providing an overview of trends and research directions for scholars' and practitioners' consideration in future research.

Objective : This study's purpose was to review the clinical studies of Mahwang-tang (MHT). Method : We searched ten clinical studies of MHT using KISS, RISS, NAVER, PUBMED, Science Direct. Ten papers were sorted by 4 topics, as influenza, pediatric febrile symptoms, contact dermatitis, and adjuvant for chronic hepatitis C. At last we analyzed if these papers are consistent with the keywords of Shanghanlun provisions about MHT. Results : When summarizing these papers again by topic, there were 4 studies on influenza, 1 study on pediatric febrile symptoms, 1 study on contact dermatitis and 4 studies as an adjuvant for chronic hepatitis C. Conclusion : These studies were consistent with terms such as fever, headache, aversion to wind, body pain, pain in the lumbar, articular pain written in Shanghanlun provisions. In addition to this, research on anti-depressive effects of MHT is proceeding systematically. However, studies on nosebleeds and pulses are still underdeveloped and further studies are needed.
