인터넷 응용 서비스 제공을 위한 IPv4/IPv6의 성능 분석 (Performance analysis of IPv4/IPv6 for Internet application services)

  • 현재 인터넷은 IPv6로 전환하기 위한 과도기적 단계에 있으며 IPv6 기반의 네트워크 관련 제품들이 출시되고 있다. 이렇게 장비 개발에 많은 투자가 이루어지고 있지만, 장비 개발과 함께 응용 서비스 기술의 중요성이 강조되고 있다. 이러한 응용 서비스 기술의 개발을 위해서는 다양한 응용 서비스에 대한 실험이 필요하다. 현재까지의 주된 연구는 앞으로 전개될 IPv6망을 위해 IPv4와 IPv6에서 망들간 라우터의 성능 측정에 초점을 맞추고 있으며, 인터넷 응용 서비스를 제공하기 위한 성능 측정은 아직까지 진행되지 않고 있다. 본 논문에서는 IPv6의 도입에 따라 현재 구축되어 있는 네트워크 인프라와 프로토콜에 관계없이 인터넷 응용서비스가 성능이 저하되지 않고 사용될 수 있는지에 대한 성능 분석을 하였다. 본 논문의 실험 결과 각 망들에서 종단간 인터넷 응용 서비스의 성능은 Native 망에 비해 Dual 망의 효율이 떨어짐을 알 수 있었다.

소형 무인헬기를 이용한 항공방제기술 (I) - 현황 및 경제성 분석 - (Aerial Application using a Small RF Controlled Helicopter (I) - Status and Cost Analysis -)

  • Present chemical application system using a power sprayer has been a labor intensive, ineffective and shirking task in farming. Therefore, a small RF controlled (unmanned) helicopter was suggested to replace the conventional spray system. The aerial application using the unmanned helicopter has been already utilized in Japan, where total area applied up to 704,000 ha in 2005. In this article, the status and cost analysis on the unmanned agricultural helicopter were studied. The aerial application using the agricultural helicopter helps precise and timely spraying and reduces labor intensity and pollution. The field capacity of the helicopter was found to be 60-70 ha a day. The break even point was estimated near the operating area of 750 ha annum. The development of an agricultural helicopter was necessary for taking advantages of both technique and economy.

Investigating the Value of Information in Mobile Commerce: A Text Mining Approach

  • The proliferation of mobile applications and the unique characteristics of the mobile environment have attracted significant research interest in understanding customers' purchasing behaviors in mobile commerce. In this study, we extend customer value theory by combining the predictors of product performance with customer value framework to investigate how in-store information creates value for customers and influences mobile application downloads. Using a data set collected from the Google Application Store, we find that customers value both text and non-text information when they make downloading decisions. We apply latent semantic analysis techniques to analyze customer reviews and product descriptions in the mobile application store and determine the embedded valuable information. Results show that, for mobile applications, price, number of raters, and helpful information in customer reviews and product descriptions significantly affect the number of downloads. Conversely, average rating does not work in the mobile environment. This study contributes to the literature by revealing the role of in-store information in mobile application downloads and by providing application developers with useful guidance about increasing application downloads by improving in-store information management.

웹 응용 보안을 위한 객체지향 분석·설계 방법론 (An Object-Oriented Analysis and Design Methodology for Security of Web Applications)

  • 요즘 웹을 이용하여 많은 일들이 처리되고 있다. 이에 따라 다양하고 복잡한 기능을 가진 웹 기반의 응용 시스템들이 요구되고 있다. 이러한 웹 기반의 응용 시스템들을 효율적으로 개발하기 위하여 객체지향 분석 설계 방법론을 사용하고 있으며, 그 구현을 위하여 Java EE(Java Platform, Enterprise Edition) 기반의 기술들이 사용되기도 한다. 이렇게 개발된 웹 기반의 응용 시스템을 통해 많은 일들을 처리하면서 점차 보안과 관련된 이슈들이 중요해졌다. 이를 위하여 Java EE는 보안과 관련된 메커니즘을 제공하고 있지만, 효율적인 웹 응용 시스템을 개발하기 위한 객체지향 분석 설계 방법론과의 상호 연관성은 제공하지 못하고 있다. 이에 따라 Java EE 메커니즘에 따른 보안 방안은 개발 마지막 단계에서 비로소 구현되기 때문에, 요구사항 분석부터 구현에 이르기까지 시스템 개발 전 주기에 따른 일관된 보안 적용은 어려운 실정이다. 따라서 본 논문에서는 요구사항 분석부터 구현에 이르기까지, 보안이 강조된 '안전한 웹 응용 시스템을 위한 객체지향 분석 설계 방법론'을 제안한다. 제안한 객체지향 분석 설계 방법론은 보안에 관한 요구사항 분석과 시스템 분석 및 설계를 위하여 보안이 강조된 모델링 언어인 UMLsec을 사용하고, 그 구현을 위해서 Java EE 기반 기술 중 서블릿의 역할기반 접근제어(RBAC: Role Based Access Control)를 이용한다. 아울러 본 '웹 응용 보안을 위한 객체지향 분석 설계 방법론'을 온라인 뱅킹 시스템 개발에 적용하여 그 효율성을 확인하였다.

한국형 EMS 시스템의 Baseline 계통 해석용 소프트웨어 개발을 위한 데이터 모델링 (Data Modeling for Developing the Baseline Network Analysis Software of Korean EMS System)

  • This paper summarizes a data modeling for developing the baseline network analysis software of the Korean energy management system (EMS). The study is concentrated on the following aspects. First, the data for operating the each application software are extracted. Some of the EMS network application softwares are selected for basis model. Those are based on the logical functions of each software and are not considered the other softwares. Second, the common data are extracted for equipment model and topological structure of power system in Korea. We propose the application common model(ACM) that can be applied whole EMS network application softwares. The ACM model includes the hierarchy and non-hierarchy power system structure, and is connected each other using the direct and indirect link. Proposed database model is tested using the Korea Electric Power Corporation(KEPCO) system. The real time SCADA data are provided for the test. Through the test, we verified that the proposed database structure can be effectively used to accomplish the Korean EMS system.

  • Recently, the application of BIM has been continuously expanded according to various government policies, and the application performance is being analyzed in BIM projects such as roads and railways. In line with this trend, the government is making additional efforts to introduce full-scale design BIM. The BIM design in the public sector is directly related to the estimated price. However, looking at the current status of BIM introduction, there is no support system in place for calculating the estimated price. Therefore, this study intends to analyze the priority activity that is easy to develop BIM unit price among the construction standard unit Price of construction work. In this study, in order to derive the BIM-based priority activity, BIM application statements and application guidelines were analyzed. As a result of the analysis, cast-in-place concrete construction (civil engineering) and reinforced concrete construction (architecture) were deduced as suitable construction activities for the preferential application of BIM. Since the results presented in this study are a rough analysis, it is judged that additional detailed analysis is necessary for the future.

  • 스마트폰 시장이 급속하게 성장함에 따라 보안위협도 동시에 증가하고 있다. 가장 큰 스마트폰 보안위협 중 하나는 스마트폰 마켓에 안전성이 검증되지 않은 어플리케이션이 유통되고 있다는 점이다. 안드로이드 마켓의 경우 어플리케이션 검증을 수행하지 않아 악성 어플리케이션이 유통되고 있는 상황이다. 이와 같이 마켓을 통해 유포되는 악성 어플리케이션에 대응하기 위해서는 안드로이드 어플리케이선의 악성 행위 여부를 탐지할수 있는 기술이 필요하다. 본 논문에서는 안드로이드 어플리케이션의 악성행위를 탐지할 수 있는 분석 방법을 제안하고 구현내용을 소개하고자 한다.

  • PIP is an abbreviation of 'Performance Improvement Package', which is a package that can improve performance by applying some design changes to existing aircraft. Boeing provides PIP applicable to B777-200, and Airbus provides PIP applicable to A350-900 as standard. PIP provided by Boeing and Airbus is a separate task, but it is expected to reduce fuel consumption by reducing drag through aerodynamic improvements. The PIP applied to the A350-900 includes work such as increasing Winglet Height and re-twisting Outboard Wing. This study is to verify the effect of PIP application of the A350-900 aircraft and use it as basic data for economic analysis. The aerodynamic improvement studies and expected effects of the PIP application were examined, and the actual flight data of the PIP-applied and the non-applied aircraft were compared to confirm the PIP application effect. This paper provides empirical results for the aviation industry on the PIP application efficiency as a method of improving fuel efficiency and reducing carbon emission.

접근풍속과 건물 변동풍압력에 대한 연속파동변화법의 적용 (A Continuous Wavelet Study on Approach Wind and Building Pressure)

  • Application of proper orthogonal decomposition (POD) and continuous wavelet transform (CWT) is introduced to study wind speed and building roof pressures of flow separation region. In this study, a detailed analysis of the approach wind flow, wind-induced building pressure and the relation between the two fields was carried out using the POD technique and CWT analysis. The results show potential of the application of POD and CWT in characterization of spatio-temporal and spectral properties of the approach wind and its induced dynamic pressure events. Some of findings resulting from the application of this analysis can be summarized as follows: (1) The POD first principal coordinate of the roof pressure in the separated shear layer is closely correlated with the longitudinal component of oncoming flow. (2) The CWT analysis suggests that the extreme peak pressure in the separated shear layer is due to condensed large-scale eddy motions.

Application of shakedown analysis technique to earthquake-resistant design of ductile moment-resisting steel structures

  • The motivations of the application of shakedown analysis to the earthquake-resistant design of ductile moment-resisting steel structures are presented. The problems which must be solved with this application are also addressed. The illustrative results from a series of static and time history nonlinear analyses of one-bay three-story steel frame and the related discussions have shown that the incremental collapse may be the critical design criterion in case of earthquake loading. Based on the findings, it was concluded that the inelastic excursion mechanism for alternation load pattern, such as in earthquake, should be the sidesway mechanism of the whole structure for the efficient mobilization of the structural energy dissipating capacity and that the shakedown analysis technique can be used as a tool to ensure this mechanism.
