Smart Factory is different from existing factory automation in that it aims to produce personalized products with minimum time and cost through ICT. However, previous researches, not from consumers but from product suppliers, have focused on technology trends and technology application methods. In order for Smart Factory to be successful, it must go beyond supplier-focus to meet the needs of consumers. In this study, we surveyed the purchase intention of the personalized product manufactured by smart factory. Influencing factors of purchase intention were drawn as consumers' need for uniqueness, innovativeness, need for touch, and privacy concern, based on previous research. As results of data analysis, it was confirmed that respondents were willing to purchase personalized products, and that consumers' need for uniqueness, innovativeness, and need for touch had a significant impact on purchase intention of personalized products. Our findings can be summarized as follows. First, Consumers' need for uniqueness was found to have positive effects(
Purpose: Clinical practicums via non-face-to-face methods were inevitable due to the COVID-19 pandemic. We developed an online program for emergency nursing care and identified the feasibility of the program and the learning achievements of students. Methods: This was a methodological study. The program was developed by three professors who taught theory and clinical practicum for adult nursing care and clinical experts. Students received four hours of video content and two task activities every week in four-week program. Real-time interactive video conferences were included. Qualitative and qualitative data were collected. Results: A total of 96 students participated in the program. The mean score for overall satisfaction with the online program was 4.72(±1.02) out of 6. Subjects that generally had high learning achievement scores were basic life support care, fall prevention, nursing documentation, infection control, and anaphylaxis care. As a result of a content analysis of 77 reflective logs on the advantages of this program, students reported that "experience in applying nursing process," "case-based learning and teaching method," and "No time and space constraints" were the program's best features. Conclusion: Collaboration between hospitals and universities for nursing is more important than ever to develop online content for effective clinical practicum.
The wall shear stress in the vicinity of end-to end anastomoses under steady flow conditions was measured using a flush-mounted hot-film anemometer(FMHFA) probe. The experimental measurements were in good agreement with numerical results except in flow with low Reynolds numbers. The wall shear stress increased proximal to the anastomosis in flow from the Penrose tubing (simulating an artery) to the PTFE: graft. In flow from the PTFE graft to the Penrose tubing, low wall shear stress was observed distal to the anastomosis. Abnormal distributions of wall shear stress in the vicinity of the anastomosis, resulting from the compliance mismatch between the graft and the host artery, might be an important factor of ANFH formation and the graft failure. The present study suggests a correlation between regions of the low wall shear stress and the development of anastomotic neointimal fibrous hyperplasia(ANPH) in end-to-end anastomoses. 30523 T00401030523 ^x Air pressure decay(APD) rate and ultrafiltration rate(UFR) tests were performed on new and saline rinsed dialyzers as well as those roused in patients several times. C-DAK 4000 (Cordis Dow) and CF IS-11 (Baxter Travenol) reused dialyzers obtained from the dialysis clinic were used in the present study. The new dialyzers exhibited a relatively flat APD, whereas saline rinsed and reused dialyzers showed considerable amount of decay. C-DAH dialyzers had a larger APD(11.70

The purpose of this paper is to show the empirical analysis way for measuring the seaport efficiency by using the previous radial model and the newly modified non-radial models( panel additive model, panel RAM model, and panel SBM model)with Spearman rank order correlation coefficient(SROCC) for 20 Korean ports during 11 years(1997-2007) for 1 inputs(port investment amount) and 4 outputs(Number of Ship Calls, Port Revenue, Customer Satisfaction Score for Port Service and Container Cargo Throughput). The main empirical results of this paper are as follows. First, consistency ratio of SROCC in terms of efficiency scores between radial and panel Additive model was over about 76% and overall consistency ratio was about 71.6%. Second, an efficiency of panel RAM model was higher than that of radial model with similarity. However, panel SBM model shows the very similar efficiency scores with panel radial model. Third, the slack size of radial model is smaller compared to non-radial model. Models' ranking orders in terms of efficiency scores, number of efficient ports are panel RAM model, panel SBM model, and radial model. The order from the minimum efficiency scores was the same order like just before. The policy implication to the Korean seaports and planner is that Korean seaports should introduce the new methods like non-radial models(panel additive model, panel RAM model, and panel SBM model) for measuring the port performance.
The colorful overhead projector films, named as Bio-cosmos II, including photographs, pictures, concept maps, and diagrams, were developed and manufactured as audio-visual teaching aids and teaching resources for students' biology learning in high school, and the CD-ROM and web sites for their application to the school were also constructed. The content of the films was organized based upon the analysis of seven different biology textbooks approved by the Ministry of Education. The films were designated based on various instructional strategies and manufactured using multimedia with various educational softwares. The CD-ROM was composed of the scenes as logo, initial main, chapters list, contents, and quit. Initial main scene indicated various chapters according to the texts of biology areas in General Science, Biology I, and II. Each chapters linked with the scenes for detailed concept maps, the downstream real subjects, and contents. The subject screens were composed of various types of summarized diagrams including lesson contents, figures, pictures, photographs, and their explanation, experimental procedures and results, tables for summarized contents, and additional animation with video captures, explanations, glossary, etc. Most files were manufactured in software Adobe Photoshop by scanning the pictures, figures and photographs, and then the explanation, modification, storing with PICT or PSD files, and transformation with JPG files, were processed in the aspect of high quality in terms of instructional strategies and graphic skills on gracefulness, clearness, colorfulness, brightness, and distinctness. A 14 films for biology areas in General Science, 80 for Biology I, and 142 for Biology II were manufactured and loaded to the CD-ROM and web site, and the files had been attempted to opened with an internet home-page of http://gic.kyungpook.ac.kr/biocosmos.
In the last few decades, transgenic animal technology has witnessed an increasingly wide application in animal breeding. Reproductive traits are economically important to the pig industry. It has been shown that the bone morphogenetic protein receptor type IB (BMPR1B) A746G polymorphism is responsible for the fertility in sheep. However, this causal mutation exits exclusively in sheep and goat. In this study, we attempted to create transgenic pigs by introducing this mutation with the aim to improve reproductive traits in pigs. We successfully constructed a vector containing porcine BMPR1B coding sequence (CDS) with the mutant G allele of A746G mutation. In total, we obtained 24 cloned male piglets using handmade cloning (HMC) technique, and 12 individuals survived till maturation. A set of polymerase chain reactions indicated that 11 of 12 matured boars were transgene-positive individuals, and that the transgenic vector was most likely disrupted during cloning. Of 11 positive pigs, one (No. 11) lost a part of the terminator region but had the intact promoter and the CDS regions. cDNA sequencing showed that the introduced allele (746G) was expressed in multiple tissues of transgene-positive offspring of No.11. Western blot analysis revealed that BMPR1B protein expression in multiple tissues of transgene-positive
Formulation of the geometric optimization for truss structures based on the elasticity theory turn out to be the nonlinear programming problem which has to deal with the Cross sectional area of the member and the coordinates of its nodes simultaneously. A few techniques have been proposed and adopted for the analysis of this nonlinear programming problem for the time being. These techniques, however, bear some limitations on truss shapes loading conditions and design criteria for the practical application to real structures. A generalized algorithm for the geometric optimization of the truss structures which can eliminate the above mentioned limitations, is developed in this study. The algorithm developed utilizes the two-phases technique. In the first phase, the cross sectional area of the truss member is optimized by transforming the nonlinear problem into SUMT, and solving SUMT utilizing the modified Newton-Raphson method. In the second phase, the geometric shape is optimized utilizing the unidirctional search technique of the Rosenbrock method which make it possible to minimize only the objective function. The algorithm developed in this study is numerically tested for several truss structures with various shapes, loading conditions and design criteria, and compared with the results of the other algorithms to examme its applicability and stability. The numerical comparisons show that the two-phases algorithm developed in this study is safely applicable to any design criteria, and the convergency rate is very fast and stable compared with other iteration methods for the geometric optimization of truss structures.
