The microstructures of self-designed 7000 series Aluminium alloys added with Sc are observed. Moreover, the mechanical properties of the Sc-added Aluminium alloys are evaluated as a function of tensile temperature to establish the conditions of a following extrusion process. New casting conditions in the aluminium alloys added with Sc could be established by changing the casting speed and stirring time in the existing casting conditions of Aluminium alloys. The Sc addition results in $Al_3(Sc,Zr)$ precipitates in the cast alloys, and leads to the formation of equal-axed grains and fine grains. After homogenization heat treatment at $450^{\circ}C$, the Sc-added Aluminium alloys showed the highest elongation values in the temperature ranging from $300{\sim}400^{\circ}C$.

Last few decades have seen a rapid increase in the fabrication and characterization of Al alloys for automobiles, heat exchangers and aerospace industries. Aluminium alloys are popular because of their high specific strength, light weight, excellent wear and high oxidation resistance. The development of aluminium alloys in these applications makes their study and research of utmost importance. Brazing is applied to the aluminium alloys for joining various aluminium parts together in most of the industrial applications. Various parameters affect the joining process of these aluminium alloys. In this article, various types of processing parameters have been discussed, and special attention has been given to the category of aluminium brazing alloys. The article reviews on the various parameters that affect the brazing property in various scientific and technological applications.
Aluminium and its alloys are widely used in brazing various components in automotive industries due to their properties like lightweight, excellent ductility, malleability and formability, high oxidation and corrosion resistance, and high electrical and thermal conductivity. However, high machinability and strength of aluminium alloys are a serious concern during casting operations. The generation of porosity caused by dissolved gases and modifiers affects seriously the strength and quality of cast product. Brazing of Al and its alloys requires careful monitoring of temperature since theses alloys are brazed at around the melting temperature in most of the aluminium alloys. Therefore, the development of low temperature brazing filler alloys as well as superior strength Al alloys for various engineering applications is always in demand. In various heat exchangers and automotive applications, poor strength of Al alloys is due to the inherent porosities and casting defects. The unstable mechanical properties is therefore needed to be controlled by adding various additive elements in the aluminium and its alloys, by a change in the heat treatment procedure or by modifying the microstructure. In this regard, this article reports the effect of various elements added in aluminium alloys to improve microstructure, brazeability, machinability, castability as well as to stabilize the mechanical properties.

In high temperature aircraft electronics, aluminium based brazing filler is the prime choice today. Aluminium and its alloys have compatible properties like weight minimization, thermal conductivity, heat dissipation, high temperature precipitation hardening etc. suitable for the aerospace industry. However, the selection of brazing filler for high temperature electronics requires high temperature joint strength properties which is crucial for the aerospace. Thus the selection of proper brazing alloy material, the composition and brazing method play an important role in deciding the final reliability of aircraft electronic components. The composition of these aluminium alloys dependent on the addition of the various elements in the aluminium matrix. The complex shapes of aluminium structures like enclosures, heat dissipaters, chassis for electronic circuitry, in avionics are designed from numerous individual components and joined thereafter. In various aircraft applications, the poor strength caused by the casting and shrinkage defects is undesirable. In this report the effect of various additional elements on Al based alloys and brazing fillers have been discussed.

The ship hull construction materials of fishing boat has changed in order that wooden, steel, and fiber glass reinforced plastic(FRP). The fishing boat made from FRP has increased every year because that materials has proved excellent of the characteries for fishing boats construction members. Recently, FRP tend towards evasion for the pollution of air enviroment. Therefore. the materials of fishing boat construction must be exchanged by another one. Aluminium alloys must be recommended for fishing boats construction mateials because that is light weight and corrosion resisting in the sea water. Regulation of the standard of ship hull construction for aluminium alloys fishing boats did not enact laws in the interior now. Therefore, this regulation was studied by the following items. that is Rudder, Bottom construction, Side hull plate construction, Deck plate construction, piller. Water tight bulkhead, Deep tank, Fish tank, Stern construction, Superstructure, Deck house construction, Hatch, Engine room opening, Hatch opening, Bulwark, Welding and Rivet etc. A study on the regulation will be contributed to enact laws for fishing boat construction of aluminium alloys.

During the past five years a very successful effort has been made to improve existing and develop new aluminium alloys. The progress achieved has been possible because of the development of new production methods, such as powder metallurgy and spray/deposition. These methods make use of rapid solidification process which alloys compositions other than those achieved by conventional ingot metallurgy. The ingot metallurgy of the 2000 and 7000 series used thus far, as well as the age hardening Al-Li alloys, show several disadvantages caused by the production process. Such problems are primarily coarse intermetallic constituent phases, coarse grains and macrosegregation, resulting in low fracture toughness. The present contribution reports results of an experimental investigation performed on a modern high strength spay deposited aluminium alloy of the Al-Zn-Mg-Cu (7075 and the modified 7150X) type. Results are given in terms of its microstructural characterization by using X-ray diffractomertry and transmission electron microscopic. The mechanical propierties of those alloys in the as-extruded and extruded+aged condition were evaluated by using microhardness Vickers, tensile test and fracture toughness measurements.

The mechanical and electrical properties of aluminium alloy 6061 are reported in this present work. Aluminium alloys were homogenized at $550^{\circ}C$, for 5 hours and cooled in the furnace. The different thickness reductions of 60-90% on homogenized aluminium alloy plates were achieved by cryo-rolling. Later, the as rolled samples were aged by solution treatment at the temperatures of $520^{\circ}C$ for 1 hour, water quenched; subsequently aged at $160^{\circ}C$ for 8-24 hours and partial aged (not solution treatment) at $160^{\circ}C$ for 8- 24 hours. Mechanical and electrical properties of samples were investigated. The experimental result showed that the microhardness of cryo-rolled samples were increase with increasing the percentage of the thickness reduction. Moreover, the microhardness of cryo-rolled, aged by solution treatment samples were higher than those of the cryo-rolled and cryo-rolled, partial aged samples. The cryo-rolled alloys subjected to full aged at $160^{\circ}C$ for 24 hours exhibited the hardness of 125 HV and electrical conductivity values was 45.76 %IACS and the cryo-rolled alloys subjected to partial aged at $160^{\circ}C$ for 20 hours exhibited the hardness of 67 HV and electrical conductivity values was 49.67 %IACS.
Aluminium and aluminium alloys have the high electrical and heat conductivity. It gives rise to difficulties for a choice of electrodes material for their contact electric welding. This paper describes the investigations performed to solve the above problem. The purpose of this investigation was to obtain dispersion-hardening alloys by the internal oxidation method, to optimize their contents and treatment modes, to produce electrodes of these alloys and to test them. The strengthing effect of alloys with oxide particles depends on their size stability at high temperatures. Despite of the fact, that oxides are the most stable of all the non-metallic phases their coagulation takes place. Based on the early results, we chose two types of alloys, first No. 1 Cu - 0,4%Al and second No. 2 Cu - 0,2%Be for production of electrodes. These alloys had not additional alloying elements. These alloys were prepared as 1 mm plates and flake-formed 200 m thick, and also No. 1 as a powder of size 100 mkm (received from Korea). The large samples for electrodes were produced by three methods : explosive welding method, dynamic one including the explosion compression of electrode blank and the quasi-dynamic method including the high-speed compression of dense briquest and the further hot extrusion of a rod.
Formation of oxide inclusions in the molten aluminium alloys during solidification is investigated. The oxidation tendency of both Al-4.5wt%Cu and Al-7wt%Si alloys is increased with melt temperature, particularly over $700^{\circ}C$. However, an Al-5wt%Mg alloy exhibits a decreasing mode over $800^{\circ}C$. The oxidation behavior with holding time shows the S curve shape for all of the alloys. It is shown that the mechanism of oxidation of Al-5wt%Mg alloy has a two step process different from that of Al-4.5wt%Cu and Al-7wt%Si alloys. The species and morphology of oxide inclusions in each alloy is also shown. The microstructure was more coarsened during solidification when the melt contains a large amount of oxide inclusion than when it doesn't. This result can be explained in terms of both the hindrance of heat extraction by oxide film formed on the aluminium melt and the difference of heat capacity between the aluminium melt and oxide inclusion during solidification.
Titanium-Boron-Aluminium master alloys are used extensively to grain-refine a wide range of aluminium alloys. This experiment was performed by various amounts of AlTi5B1 addition to the technical aluminium alloys, and also by changing cast temperature and hold time of the melts. The macrostructures were shown that with increasing the addition of AlTi5B1 to the melts, the grain became finer. In the case of cast temperature high enough over $900^{\circ}C$, the grain became coarser, but hold time change not affected on the grain refinement. Particles of $TiAl_3$, and $TiB_2$ were found in the grains and grainboundaries. The important role of grain refinement in this experiment were mainly $TiAl_3$, and also $TiB_2$ those have been confirmed in TEM, SEM, EDS, WDX and X-ray diffraction.
