Nanoindentation을 이용한 산화물 층상 복합체의 기계적 성질 평가 (Nanoindentation Investigation of Mechanical Properties in Oxide Laminar Composites)

  • 테이프 캐스팅법을 이용하여 알루미나/지르콘(반응결합 뮬라이트/지르코니아 유도)을 내부층으로 하고 알루미나/지르코니아 혹은 뮬라이트/지르코니아를 외부층으로 하는 산화물 층상 복합체를 고온가압소결법으로 제조하였다. 나노압입시험법을 이용하여 층상 산화물 복합체의 기계적 성질(경도 및 탄성계수)을 측정하고, SEM을 통하여 복합체의 미세구조를 관찰하였다. 산화물 층상 복합체의 제조를 위한 가열·냉각시 유도된 구성 산화물간의 열팽창 계수의 차이로 인하여 생성된 잔류응력을 하중-변위곡선을 이용하여 확인할 수 있었다.

  • Porous anodic aluminum oxide(AAO) templates prepared by anodizing method were used for growing multiwalled carbon nanotubes(CNTs). AAO templates with the homogeneous pore diameter and length were obtained by two step anodizing technique. Using AAO templates, vertically well-ordered two-dimensional carbon nanotube arrays were fabricated. We investigated the field emission property of CNTs grown using different catalyst metals in vacuum chamber (<$10^{-7}$ Torr) on AAO Template. To explain the different emission property, the surface reaction between catalysts and alumina pores which inserted carbon species of $C_2H_2$ using High resolution transmission electron microscopy (HRTEM) was studied.

  • Numerical solutions were obtained to the model equations for various parameters characterizing the pore structure, effective internal diffusion and the chemical reaction constant. The conversion was decreased with the cause of pore closure at the surface of reacting particles, reduction of porosity, surface area of reaction and effective diffusion coefficient in the solid with the progress of reaction. Total conversion was strongly depend on the local conversion at surface. According to the decreasing of impregnated concentration of the copper oxide and the increase of the flue gases concentration, total conversion was increased. And the conversion were affected by gas flow rate and pore size distribution of the reacting solid.

Percolative Electrical Conductivity of Platy Alumina/Few-layer Graphene Multilayered Composites

  • In this work, we present a facile one-pot synthesis of a multilayer-structured platy alumina/few-layer graphene nanocomposite by planetary milling and hot pressing. The sintered composites have electrical conductivity exhibiting percolation behavior (threshold ~ 0.75 vol.%), which is much lower than graphene oxide/ceramic composites (> 3.0 vol.%). The conductivity data are well-described by the percolation theory, and the fitted exponent values are estimated to be 1.65 and 0.93 for t and q, respectively. The t and q values show conduction mechanisms intermediate between 2D- and 3D, which originates from quantum tunneling between nearest neighbored graphenes.

  • This study was designed to observe the marginal leakage of three permanent cements affected by three temporary cements. The temporary cements used in this study were Zinc oxide-eugenol, Non-eugenol, and Calcium hydroxide cements and the permanent cements were Zinc phosphate, Polycarboxylate and Alumina reinforced EBA cements. To measure the dye penetration into permanently cemented zone, the experimental specimens were treated with the temporary cements for a week. An analysis of the data obtained from 120 specimens resulted in the following conclusions: 1. Regardless of the types of the permanent cements used, using Calcium hydroxide cement as temporary cement showed higher marginal leakage than other temporary cements. 2. Using Polycarboxylate cement as permanent cement showed less marginal leakage than other permanent cements. 3. The marginal leakage in zinc phosphate cement was similar to Alumina reinforced EBA cement regardless of the types of the temporary cements.

  • Aluminium Oxide was deposited with a C.V.D.-technique on various substrates. The effects of various treating condition such as temperature, time, heat resistance and composition of substrates were investigated in order to understand the relationship of structure, property and process. Grain size depends upon the activity of adsorption siite and coarsened with increasing temperature and time. Deposition rate decreases in order of electrolytic iron, carbon steel STS430 and STS304, since the active site for adsorption of reactant was more decreased for Cr and Ni than Fe. Oxidation resistance of alumina coated specimens improved markedely and that of stainless steel was prominent.

세라믹스 처리된 나일론 직물의 원적외선 방사성능과 보온효과 (Far IR Emission and Thermal Properties of Ceramics Coated Nylon Fabrics)

  • The purpose of this study was to evaluate the thermal properties of ceramics coated nylon fabrics by determining far infra-red emissive properties, heat storage/release and thermal insulation. Far IR emissivity and emissive power were measured for 7~ 140n at 50'C . Three types of ceramics such as cordierite with $\alpha$-alumina, a-alumina with titanium oxide and a-alumina were chosen as specimens. Cordierite with $\alpha$-alumina was chosen to treat on the fabrics due to the good emissive properties on the fabrics. Add-ons and contents of ceramics were analyzed for ceramics and/or polyurethane coated fabrics. For the physical properties, thickness and air permeability were measured. Results showed a difference in the emissive property between ceramics themselves and ceramics coated fabrics. In the ambient temperature, there was no diffenence in emissivity among the different ceramics contents. Thermography showed that when the fabric was heated with the light, surface mean temperatures of fabrics were increased as the contents of ceramics increased, and the heat storage property was confirmed. In case of same thickness and air permeability, the thermal insulation value increased as the contents of ceramics increased because of increasing heat storage and Far IR reflectivity. So there were absorption and heat storage of ceramics for Far IR from human and reflection to human between ceramics coated fabrics and human.

  • 비정질알루미나와 기공형성제에 물을 혼합하여 원통형으로 성형하고 수화한 다음, 건조 및 소성하여 직경 5mm, 평균 길이 약 10mm의 $\gamma-$알루미나 펠릿을 제조하였다. 이를 $Fe(NO_{3})_{3}{\cdot}9H_{2}O$용액과 $CH_{3}COOH$ 혼합용액에 침척시켜 $200^{\circ}C$ 온도로 3시간 수열처리한 후, 건조하고 소성하여 촉매를 제조하였다. 이와 같이 수열법에 의해 제조된 $Fe_{2}O_{3}/\gamma-Al_{2}O_{3}$ 세라믹촉매를 환경촉매로 적용하기 위해, 아닐린과 같은 난분해성물질을 촉매를 사용하지 않는 오존단독공정과 촉매를 사용하는 촉매오존(catalytic ozonation)공정으로 구분하여 $OH^{\cdot}$ 라디칼 전환반응 개시제로서의 기능과 그 분해특성을 비교하였다.

알루미나 골재 첨가에 따른 플라이애쉬-고로슬래그계 지오폴리머의 열적특성 (Thermal property of geopolymer on fly ash-blast furnace slag system with the addition of alumina aggregate)

  • 본 연구에서는 Alumina 골재를 사용한 fly ash-blast furnace slag계 Geopolymer의 내열성 건축자재로서의 사용 가능성을 검토하기 위하여 고온조건에서의 열적 특성에 대하여 조사하였다. 모든 배합조건에서 Geopolymer 경화체의 표면 크랙은 $800^{\circ}C$까지는 관찰되지 않았으며, 이것은 열처리 전후 강도의 변화가 작은 것과 일치한다. 또한, $800^{\circ}C$까지 고로슬래그의 혼합비율이 60 wt%일 때 잔존압축강도가 가장 우수한 것으로 나타났다. Geopolymer 경화체의 주요 수화 생성물은 $20{\sim}35^{\circ}$(2theta) 범위의 비정질 halo 패턴과 원재료의 mullite($3Al_2O_3{\cdot}2SiO_2$)와 quartz($SiO_2$)가 확인되었다. 비정질 halo 패턴은 Geopolymer 축중합 반응에 의해서 생성된 aluminosilicate gel이며, $800^{\circ}C$까지는 aluminosilicate gel의 halo 패턴이 유지되고 있음을 알 수 있다. $1,000^{\circ}C$에서 aluminosilicate gel의 패턴은 사라지며 열처리온도의 증가와 함께 gehlenite, calcium silicate, calcium aluminum oxide, microcline와 같은 결정상이 관찰되었다.

진공 원심 주조를 이용한 Ti-48Al-2Cr-2Nb 합금 터보차저 터빈휠 제작 (Manufacturing of Ti-48Al-2Cr-2Nb Alloy Turbocharger Turbine Wheel by Vacuum Centrifugal Casting)

  • 고온 환경에 대한 우수한 특성을 바탕으로 산업 장비의 고온 재료에 Ti-48Al-2Cr-2Nb 합금이 사용된다. 본 연구에서는 Ti-48Al-2Cr-2Nb 합금 터보 차저 터빈 휠을 진공 원심 주조 방법으로 제작했다. 알루미나 몰드를 이용한 원심 주조시 터보 차저 터빈 휠 블레이드의 미스런 불량을 방지하기 위한 조건을 조사하였다. 진공 원심 주조로 제조된 합금의 미세 구조는 광학 현미경 (OM), 마이크로 비커스 경도 분석기 (HV), X- 선 회절 (XRD) 및 SEM-EDS로 연구하였다. 주조된 Ti-48Al-2Cr-2Nb 합금의 경도 및 SEM-EDS 결과는 산화층 (α- 케이스)의 두께가 일반적으로 50㎛ 미만임을 보여주었다. 예열 온도 1,100oC, RPM 260, 게이트 크기가 큰 알루미나 몰드의 경우 미스런 불량이 거의 없었다. 따라서 높은 예열 온도, 중간 RPM, 큰 게이트 크기 및 알파 케이스 형성 억제를 위한 알루미나 몰드를 통해 미스런이 적은 Ti-48Al-2Cr-2Nb 합금 터보 차저 터빈 휠을 얻을 수 있음을 확인했다.
