Such traditional construction methods as the interchange or improvement of railway subbase maintenance and reinforcement have many problems in the matters of construction period, constructive and economical efficiency aspects. This paper will describe the alternative railway subbase reinforcement method based on geosynthetics system. It is presently very popular in Germany and Japan. In summary it is to say, that geosynthetics used at fine grained subsoils to a strong improvement of the whole railroad system.

This paper presents a Stochastic Time-Cost Tradeoff analysis system (STCT) that identifies optimal construction methods for activities, hence reducing the project completion time and cost simultaneously. It makes use of schedule information obtained from critical path method (CPM), applies alternative construction methods data obtained from estimators to respective activities, computes an optimal set of genetic algorithm (GA) parameters, executes simulation based GA experiments, and identifies near optimal solution(s). A test case verifies the usability of STCT.

The purpose of this paper is to discuss distribution-free tests of hypothesis that the random samples are identically distributed against the epidemic alternative. But most tests that have been considered are depended only on specific null distribution. Two nonparametric tests are considered and compared with a likelihood ratio test by the empirical powers.

The important subject for assembly automation is to improve the assemblability of parts. To do this, parts and subassembly are analyzed and alternatives are constructed systematically. The optimal alternative that has the highest assemblability should be chose among all the constructed alternatives by the proper criteria and evaluating methods.

We describe six important defuzzification methods and their respective merits and shortcomings, dependent on the rules, domains, etc. Furthermore, we present an alternative approach, the so called ξ-Quality defuzzification method, for the case that the output fuzzy sets have different shape or are asymmetric.

Objectives: The aim of this study was to review systemically clinical trials on the trends of studies for Complementary and Alternative Medicine in the treatment of female sexual dysfunction and provide basic resource for future treatment and suggestions for improving research methods. Methods: Through medical website 'Pubmed', foreign clinical literatures about female sexual dysfunction were searched and domestic clinical literatures about female sexual dysfunction were searched using internet websites 'National assembly library', 'KISS', 'RISS', 'Korean traditional knowledge portal'. Results: Total 19 literatures were selected from January 2000 to June 2012. 15 foreign literatures were selected through medical website and 4 domestic literatures were chosen using internet websites or hand-searching. 5 literatures were published in 2008 and 13 literatures mentioned about age group of patients. FSFI is most common tool for female sexual dysfunction. 9 of 19 literatures were using Herbal medicine for treatment. 5 literatures were about CBT, 6 literatures were about Biofeedback and other one literatures are about Perineal massage. There were 14 Randomized controlled trials and 5 Non-randomized controlled trials. And randomized controlled trials were relatively low in risk of bias than non-randomized controlled trials. Conclusions: Upon these results, in similar future more clinical trials should be done and accumulate Evidence-based literatures.

Today, design is considered to have competitive power for a county, so there has been various efforts such as education, publicity and development, etc. Design has long been a national material, and Korea Institute of Design Promotion(KIDP) was inaugurated for the purpose of education, publicity, development and the management, public ownership, support of the contents. Laying stress on the results, however, the design education for children which would be the heart of a world design power is short of both investment and systematic study of education. Now that the design education for children is being active, the cultural spaces are needed to transform the current system focused on schooling and textbooks into the participating, experiential ones by the interesting, educational, and entertaining presentation. The children design exploratorium should make children have their own feelings, and present communicative methods considering children's cognition and behaviors. So, in this study, I'd like to analyze characteristics of the participating and experiential exhibition, and present a children design exploratorium as an alternative plan by the application of adequate methods to the exhibition medium, and the analysis of current exploratoriums' features case by case. The children design exploratorium is the place to maximize the educational effect of design by children's easier and exciting participation, which would offer an unique exhibition place for children to comprehend designs. In this study, on the basis of the alternative presentation of children design exploratoriums, I would refer to the future direction of the 21st century pavilions, the search for the exhibition items for active design education, and the contribution to practical plans.

Objectives: The aim of this review was to investigate whether evidence of complementary and alternative medicine (CAM) was reflected in clinical practice guidelines (CPGs) for insomnia based on relevant clinical trials. Methods: We conducted a systematic search on domestic and international CPG databases and medical databases. In addition, we conducted manual searches of relevant articles. Three authors independently searched and selected relevant studies; any disagreement was resolved by discussion. We extracted and analyzed the following data: published language, country, development group, participants, interventions, presence or absence of recommendations for CAM, level of evidence, grade of recommendation for CAM, and methods of development. Results: We identified 8,241 records from domestic and international databases, and 22 CPGs were included. Eleven of the 22 CPGs mentioned CAM interventions including herbal medicine, relaxation, acupuncture moxibustion, Tai Chi, meditation, hypnosis, biofeedback, Tuina, and external herbal medicine. However, most of the CPGs indicated 'no recommendation' or 'weak recommendation' for CAM interventions. Only Valeriana dageletiana Nakai and relaxation were considered to have experimental evidence. Valeriana dageletiana Nakai was recommended for improvement of sleep latency, sleep maintenance, total sleeping time, and sleep cycle. Relaxation was recommended as effective intervention for relieving physical and psychological arousal. Conclusions: Despite systematic reviews and randomized controlled trials on CAM for insomnia, most of the CPGs for insomnia did not reflect the evidence obtained. Further CPGs for insomnia should be developed by considering the current advanced studies in the field of CAM.

Objective : We designed this study to analyse the Natural Standard methodology and apply the results to new study and evaluation methods. Methods : We investigated the main stream of complementary and alternative medicine (CAM), the methodology of Natural Standard, guideline in CAM, and concrete 35 cancer-related herbs and dietary supplements in 98 ones. Results : There are 35 graded herbs and supplements associated with cancer in natural standard contents: 9 foods, 17 herbs, 7 amino acids, enzymes and vitamins, and 2 herbal mixture formulas. Most of them get a grade of C: unclear or conflicting scientific evidence. Conclusion : Natural Standard aims to provide high-quality, reliable information about CAM therapies to clinicians, patients, and healthcare institutions. The more demands for and use of CAM grows, the more the needs for related studies increases. According to this international and multidisciplinary collaborative effort, we have to develop how to study and evaluate the results. We need guidelines in association with the evidence and recommendations of CAM.
