Isomaltooligosaccharides in Sikhye were digested with enzyme (30unit/ml) of $\alpha$-amylase, $\alpha$-glucosidase and glucoamylase from Aspergillus awamori, sweet potato $\beta$-amylase and human salivary $\alpha$-amylase at 37$^{\circ}C$ for 1 hour, respectively. These amylases acted on these saccharides to give hydrolysis products with less than 20% of degree of hydrolysis, except the case of glucoamylase with 62% of high degree of hydrolysis. $\alpha$-Glucosidase plus human salivary $\alpha$-amylase hydrolyzed it to attain the hydrolysis value up to 25%, but further increment of hydrolysis was not observed. Rice residue in Sikhye has similar sugar composition and structure, judging from sugar analyses by the enzymatic hydrolysis. These results suggest that isomaltooligosaccharides and rice residue in Sikhye can be a growth factor for Bifidobacterium and dietary fiber which is useful for human health.

General (${\alpha},\;{\beta}$)-metrics form a rich and important class of Finsler metrics. In this paper, we obtain a differential equation which characterizes a general (${\alpha},\;{\beta}$)-metric with isotropic E-curvature, under a certain condition. We also solve the equation in a particular case.

Let A be an n$\times$n (0,1) matrix. Let f(A) denote the smallest nonnegative integer k such that per A[$\alpha$｜$\beta$]>0 and A($\alpha$｜$\beta$) is permutation equivalent to a lower triangular matrix for some $\alpha$, $\beta$$\in$Q\ulcorner,\ulcorner. In this case f(A) is called the feedback number of A. In this paper, feedback numbers of some maximal convertible (0,1) matrices are studied.

A method of estimating B$_{\alpha}$ life of crack growth is proposed based on the linear elastic fracture mechanic model. It is assumed that the coefficients in the Paris-Erdogan equation are random variables and their distributions are estimated by the method of 2-stage estimation from the fatigue crack growth data. A case study is also given. is also given.

Due to the quantum interference of many atomic levels, the exact scattering cross section around a given resonance transition deviates from the Lorentz function when the frequency of the incident radiation is quite far from the resonance frequency. This atomic effect is quite significant in the case of damped Ly alpha systems, where HI column density is in excess of 10^20 cm^-2. In this poster, we present the deviation quantitatively taking into consideration of the Rayleigh and Raman scattering around Lyman alpha and Lyman beta.

The purpose of this study is to investigate how much acupuncture treatment and autogenic training can affect to physical, mental relaxation through neurofeedback(Alpha/Theta training). I measured the numerical value of Alpha/H-Beta on the patient with facial tremor due to anxiety during acupuncture treatment and autogenic training, and when that patient wasn't relaxed I gave her feedback. The result shows that autogenic training is always more effective than aucupuncture in making the patient relaxed. On this case, the symptom was not much improved after having the treatments 10 times, but the frequency and intensity of the tremor decresed little. In according to the number of treatments, relaxtion didn't ascend regularly. I think it depends on the patient's condition or surroundings. I am unsatisfied I had only one case in this study and the number of treatments wasn't enough. In the future, much more clinical and statistical studies on herbal, musical, aroma therapies should be needed.

A comparison was made of the effects of selective ${\alpha_1}-adrenoceptor$ agonist phenylephrine and selective ${\alpha_2}-adrenoceptor$ agonist clonidine on endothelium-containing and endothelium-denuded rings of the rat aorta. In the case of phenylephrine, removal of endothelium increased sensitivity 2.5 fold at $EC_{50}$ level and maximum contractive response 1.4 fold. In the case of clonidine, which gave only 15% of maximum contractive response given to phenylephrine on endothelium-containing rings, removal of the endothelium increased sensitivity 5.6 fold at $EC_{50}$ level and maximum contractive response 5 fold, which was about 55% of that given by phenylephrine. In endothelium-denuded ring, phenylephrine-induced contraction tended to be more increased in tonic contraction than in phasic contraction as compared to that in endothelium-containing ring, while clonidine-induced contraction was monophasic and was increased only in tonic contraction. In the calcium-free solution or in the presence, of verapamil, contraction stimulated by clonidine was almost abolished while that stimulated by phenylephrine produced only phasic contraction. The depression of sensitivity to these agonists in rings with endothelium appeared to be due to the vasodepressor action of endothelium derived relaxing factor (EDRF), because hemoglobin, a specific blocking agent of EDRF, abolished this depression. It is unlikely that the endothelium-dependent relaxation was due to stimulation of release of EDRF, because clonidine did not produce endothelium-dependent relaxation in 5-hydroxytryptamine-precontracted ring even when its contractile action was blocked by the ${\alpha_1}-adrenoceptor$ antagonist, prazosin. When the efficacy of phenylephrine was reduced to about the initial efficacy of clonidine by pretreatment with dibenamine, the contraction-response curves for phenylephrine became very similar to the corresponding curves obtained for clonidine before receptor inactivation. In the dibenamine-treated rings, contraction of phenylephrine was abolished in calcium-free solution or in the presence of verapamil like that obtained for clonidine before receptor inactivation. These results suggest that EDRF spontaneously released from endothelium depress contraction more profoundly in a case of an agonist with low efficacy and the phenylephrine-induced contraction was totally dependent on extracellular calcium as was that obtained for clonidine when the efficacy of phenylephrine was reduced to that of clonidine by irreversible inactivation of ${\alpha_1}-adrenoceptor$ with dibenamine.

Infantile hepatic hemangioendotheliomas (IHHEs) are benign vascular tumors, but can be associated with the life-threatening complications, such as congestive heart failure, disseminated intravascular coagulation, and massive bleeding. Various therapeutic options have been developed and the treatment response depends on the patient's clinical status and the nature of the lesion. In the case of a symptomatic IHHE, a non-invasive and precise diagnosis should be performed promptly before the therapeutic method is chosen. Additionally, it should be kept in mind that the residual lesions have malignant potential. We report a case of a congenital giant IHHE that was successfully reduced in size by interferon-$\alpha$ and completely removed by surgical tumor resection with a hepatic lobectomy.

The purpose of our study is to clarify about the influence that the visual information gives to the brain activities when pressure exerted the abdomen by waist belts. The visual information means that the some different visual information is inputted it, and the brain activity is evaluated by Electroencephalogram(EEG) measurements. At the same time, we carried out the sensory tests and verified about the relations between the psychological stress and the brain activities. There was a difference in change in the power of the $alpha$ wave with the eyes opened between man and woman. from the result of the sensory test, in the case of under the condition in the darkness with the eyes opened, there was no change in the a wave with before the pressure and after the pressure. In the other cases, $alpha$ wave changed in the same way with before the pressure and after the pressure. In the case of the visible and the invisible in pressure place, $alpha$ wave changed in the same way with before the pressure and after the pressure, but there was a difference in value. From the above, it isn't recognized that the visual information is influencing a pressure sense but some influences are given to it to the brain activities.

This investigation is carried out of inqurie into the effects of the accelerator on the setting time and haedness when it is used with plaster products. Plaster($\beta$), dental hard stone($\alpha$), and limproved dental hard stone($M{\alpha}$) are selected as the objects of the investigation, since they are most common materials for dental plaster products. Setting time is gauged by means of Vicket Needle and Gilmore Needle, and hardness is gauged by means of Brinell and Vicket Hardness machines. Samples of each material are made in the standerd water powder ratio and with the accelerator repectively, Every material is tested five times each. The results of the tests are as fallow : 1) In each case the setting time is shortened when the accelerator is used. 2) Of the three materials the hardness of the plaster was lowest A($\beta$) < B($\alpha$) < C($M{\alpha}$)} 3) In each case the hardness of the samples made in the standard water powder ratio were higher than that of the sample made with the accelerator. A1 > A2 ; B1>B2 ; C1>C2 4) Final Conclusion : Higher quality cast is expected when it is made in the standard water powder ratio.
