임의형상가공시스템의 적층 및 이송장치 동특성연구 (A Study of Dynamic Characteristics of Stacking and Transferring System for the Solid Freeform Fabrication System)

  • 본 논문에서는 임의형상제작시스템을 위한 적층 및 이송장치의 컴퓨터 시뮬레이션을 보여주고 있다. 적층 및 이송 장치는 임의형상제작시스템의 필수적인 요소로서 절단된 슬라이스의 일관된 적층을 위해 안정된 작동을 하는 것이 매우 중요하다. 적층 및 이송장치는 공압장치로 모델링될 수 있다. 공압장치는 공압컴푸레서, 제어밸브 및 실린더 둥으로 구성되어있다. 설계변수를 변화시켜가면서 행한 시뮬레이션 결과로부터 시간응답을 예측할 수 있다. 결과에서 알 수 있는 것은 일부 설계변수를 변화시키면 안정된 동특성을 얻을 수 있다는 것이다.

  • The dynamic performance analyses and tests for a 50kW turbo-generator (KIMM-TG50) were carried out. The operating concept of this machine is that it gets the initial driving force from the built-in motor-generator until it reaches its self-sustaining speed of 40,000 rpm, and then the driving mode is changed to self-operating mode by the combustor installed between the centrifugal compressor and the turbine. Due to winding mistake of motor-generator, the system could go only up to 22000 rpm by the motor so that high pressure air externally fed into the turbine was utilized to get the system to run up to 62,000 rpm thereafter. The vibration data collected during the tests revealed that the first bending critical speed is in near 5,600 rpm as predicted in the design stage of the rotor-bearing system, and that there were no other identifiable critical speeds up until 62,000 rpm due to high damping from the squeeze film damper-bearings supporting the rotor. This paper presented some of the experimental results along with dynamic performance predictions made in the design stage as a part of progress being made.

  • 근래 에어컨, 냉장고 및 세탁기와 같은 가전 전기제품에도 전력소비의 저감, 저속운전에 의한 소음저감 및 인간에게 보다 안락한 기능을 제공하기 위하여 인버터 시스템의 적용이 증가되고 있다. 그러나 인버터 시스템은 PWM에 의해 불필요하게 발생되는 전자기소음의 저감과 소음의 질에 대한 감성소음의 개선이 요구된다. 본 논문에서는 브러쉬없는 직류전동기로 구동되는 왕복동식 압축기에 대하여 고정 PWM과 랜덤 PWM의 전자기소음 분석을 통하여 인버터 냉장고에 랜덤 PWM을 적용함으로써 전자기소음의 저감 및 감성소음의 개선효과가 있음을 실험을 통하여 검증하였다.

200kW급 마이크로 가스터빈 시스템의 설계 변수 민감도 해석 (Design Parameter Sensitivity Analysis of a 200kW Class Micro Gas Turbine System)

  • This paper describes the outcome of the design of a 200 kW class micro gas turbine and the sensitivity of its performance (efficiency and power) to the variations in major design parameters. The reference design parameters were set up based on the best available component technologies. The resulting net electricity generation efficiency of the micro gas turbine package was found to be competitive to those of other systems in the market. The sensitivities of power and efficiency to the variations in compressor and turbine efficiencies, pressure ratio, turbine inlet temperature, recuperator effectiveness, secondary air ratio, pressure loss ratios of both the cold and hot sides of the recuperator were estimated. Based on the sensitivity data, a simplified method to predict the variation in system performance responding to the combinations of small changes in all design parameters were set up and validated.

연료전지 자동차 열방출 시스템의 설계 (Design of a Heat Release System for Fuel Cell Vehicles)

  • There is close relation between the heat generation in the fuel cell stack and the fuel performance. In PEM fuel cell vehicles, the stack coolant temperature is about $65^{\circ}C$, which is far lower than that for general automobile engine. Therefore, it is hard to release heat generated in the stack by using a radiator of limited size because of the reduced temperature difference between the coolant and the ambient air. In this study, indirect stack cooling system using $CO_2$ heat pump was designed and its stack cooling performance in releasing heat to the ambient was investigated. This work focuses on a series of processes that grasp the relation among the fuel cell power, the radiator capacity and the stack temperature. The purpose of this work is to find out a way to properly release sufficient amount of heat through the finite sized radiator, so that the slack power generation can not be deteriorated due to the stack temperature increase. The optimization between the compressor power consumption and the fuel cell output power can be carried out to maximize the performance of fuel cell system.

  • 선형전동기(linear motor)는 일반 회전형 모터에 비해 직선 구동력을 직접 발생시키는 특유의 장점이 있으므로 직선 구동력이 필요한 시스템에서 회전형에 비해 절대적으로 우세하다. 선형전동기의 성능인 추력을 스테이터, 코어, 영구자석 등의 구성요소의 형상과 치수, 코어와 영구자석의 극간격, 공극, 코일의 권수에 따라서 결정된다. 본 논문에서 제안한 2kW급 단상 구동형 횡자속 선형전동기는 압축기 제작에 필요한 직경 50mm, 구동 스트로크 18mm로 설계하였다. 또한 pole pitch가 20mm로 설계하였으며 요구되는 평균추력은 940N이다. 제작된 압축기의 특징은 고정자와 이동자가 맞닿는 flux path를 넓히기 위해서 최대한 경사진 각도의 형상으로 제작하였으며 경사의 각도가 커지면 커질수록 압축기로 구동하는 이동자와 고정된 부위사이에서 발생하는 흡인력이 상쇄되는 구조이기 때문에 진동의 원인으로 가장 크게 작용한다는 디텐트력이 작다는 것이 특징이며, 진동특성 등에 유리한 것으로 판단된다.

  • 대부분의 항공기는 성층권에서 순항을 하며, 이때의 온도는 지상의 그것보다 상당히 낮아 항공기 표면에 결빙이 발생할 수 있다. 기체 날개에 결빙이 발생하면 날개의 형상이 변화되어 비행특성을 저하시키며, 흡입구에서 발생한 결빙은 압축기 블레이드의 손상의 위험을 높이고 엔진의 성능에도 큰 영향을 미치게 된다. 본 논문에서는 결빙에 의한 여러 가지 상황 중 결빙으로 인한 엔진 성능 변화를 분석하기 위하여 결빙모사장치의 개발을 수행하였다. 결빙모사장치와 액체공기시스템을 이용하여 결빙모사 시험을 수행하였으며, 시험수행을 통하여 결빙이 모사가 가능함을 확인하였다.

액-가스 열교환기를 이용한 R170(에탄)용 냉동시스템의 성능 특성 (Performance Characteristics of Refrigerant R170(Ethane) Refrigeration System Using Liquid-gas Heat Exchanger)

  • This paper considers the influence of internal heat exchangers to the efficiency of a refrigerating system using R170. These liquid-gas heat exchangers(internal or suction-line heat exchangers) can, in some cases, yield improved system performance while in other cases they degrade system performance. A steady state mathematical model is used to analysis the performance characteristics of refrigeration system with internal heat exchanger. The influence of operating conditions, such as the mass flowrate of R170, inner diameter tube and length of internal heat exchanger, to optimal dimensions of the heat exchanger is also analyzed in the paper. The main results were summarized as follows : the mass flowrate of R170, inner diameter tube and length of internal heat exchanger, and effectiveness have an effect on the cooling capacity, compressor work and RCI(Relative Capacity Index) of this system. Exception for the effect of inner diameter, the RCI of R170 with respect to refrigerant mass flowrate, the length and effectiveness of internal heat exchanger is about 2.1~3.3% higher than that of R13 at the same experimental conditions. With a thorough grasp of these effect, it is necessary to design the R170 compression refrigeration cycle using internal heat exchanger.

Design and Fabrication of a Micro PZT Cantilever Array Actuator for Applications in Fluidic Systems

  • In this article, a micro cantilever array actuated by PZT films is designed and fabricated for micro fluidic systems. The design features for maximizing tip deflections and minimizing fluid leakage are described. The governing equation of the composite PZT cantilever is derived and the actuating behavior predicted. The calculated value of the tip deflection was 15 ${\mu}m$ at 5 V. The fabrication process from SIMOX (Separation by oxygen ion implantation) wafer is presented in detail with the PZT film deposition process. The PZT films are characterized by investigating the ferroelectric properties, dielectric constant, and dielectric loss. Tip deflections of 12 ${\mu}m$ at 5 V are measured, which agreed well with the predicted value. The 18 ${\mu}l/s$ leakage rate of air was observed at a pressure difference of 1000 Pa. Micro cooler is introduced, and its possible application to micro compressor is discussed.

  • Rotary compressors are one of the most important parts of air-conditioners in the industry This device usually has noise problems during the circulation process of the refrigerant and muffler is used for the noise reduction. The acoustic performance of the muffler depends on its shape and its hole locations on the upper surface. Therefore finding the optimum location of the muffler holes is a topic of increasing importance in the compressor industry. In this research the optimization of the muffler hole locations and the importance of the resonator cavity on the lower surface of the muffler in acoustic point of view is studied. At first, the topology optimization for the 2 hole muffler is performed based on a model without resonator cavity by using genetic algorithm. The 2 hole muffler's acoustic analysis and experiment results are matching, however, the optimized model's results are not. By adding the resonator cavity and also by changing the cavity shape, the acoustic analysis and experiment result comparison is Performed for different cavity shapes. The topology optimization of the revised model with cavity is carried out for noise reduction. Finally, the optimized design is produced and tested for validation.
