지하철 모사터널에서 에어커튼을 이용한 환기구의 배기효율 및 미세입자 농도 변화 연구 (The Study on Changes of Exhaust Efficiency and Fine Particle Concentration at a Ventilation Opening by a Air Curtain Flow in a Subway Model Tunnel)

  • In this study, a new tunnel ventilation method with a high velocity air curtain flow has been investigated for improving the ventilation exhaust efficiency and removing air pollutants in subway tunnels. At upper or lower position right downstream of a main duct connected with a ventilation opening, air curtain flows were suppled into the main duct where the air flow velocity was in the range of 2~6 m/s. Exhaust efficiency was monitored for both cases with and without air curtain flow for different air velocities, locations and injection angles of the air curtain. Particulate matter concentrations (PM10, PM2.5 and PM1.0) were also checked at both the main duct and ventilation opening before and after supplying air curtain flows. Lower air velocity of the main duct flow, higher air velocity of the air curtain led to higher exhaust efficiency and the air curtain condition of 30..inclined injection toward the main flow showed the maximum exhaust efficiency. The exhaust efficiency of about 24% without the air curtain could be improved to about 34% after using the air curtain flow. PM concentration decreased at the main duct and increased at the ventilation opening after using the air curtain flow. Therefore, the suggested method to use air curtain flows in tunnels will be probably one of the promising tools to reduce air pollutants in subway tunnels.

Air hybrid 엔진의 구동 특성에 관한 실험적 연구 (Experimental Study on the Performance Characteristics of Air Hybrid Engine)

  • 엔진의 제동시의 유효일을 이용하여 고압의 압축 공기를 저장하고 운전 시에는 저장된 압축 공기를 동력원으로 사용하는 신개념의 Air hybrid 엔진의 구현 가능성 검토를 위한 실험적인 연구를 진행하였다. Air hybrid 엔진 시스템의 구현을 위하여 연구용 단기통엔진을 개조하였고, 배기 밸브 중의 하나에 독립 가변 밸브리프트 시스템을 장착하여 압축 행정 동안에 고압의 공기를 저장할 수 있도록 하였다. 또한, 엔진의 구동을 위하여 점화플러그 위치에 공기 분사 모듈을 장착하여 팽창행정 중에 고압의 공기를 분사할 수 있도록 하였다. 압축 공기 저장 모드에서는 800rpm 아이들 조건에서 800 사이클 동안 30리터의 공기 저장 탱크를 최대 13 bar 까지 충전할 수 있었고, 충전된 고압의 공기를 이용하여 800rpm 아이들 조건에서 0.41 bar의 평균도시유효압력의 일을 얻을 수 있었는데 이것은 정상적인 아이들 조건보다 1.1 bar의 유효일이 증가한 것이다.

전업농가의 농업기계 정기 점검정비 실태조사 (Survey on the Regular Maintenance of Agricultural Machinery for the Full-Time Farmers)

  • The regular maintenance and repair status of major farm machinery such as power tiller, farm tractor, rice transplanter and combine harvester etc., were surveyed and analyzed for the full-time farmers in order to get basic information for promoting farm machinery productivity. The survey was carried out through 209 farmers from 9 provinces. The results of this study can be summarized as follows; 1. The regular maintenance of farm machinery was conducted at repair shop(49.5%) or dealer agency(12.0%), and also conducted by farmers at their house(34.9%). 2. For the status on the cleanness or exchange times of engine oil, fuel filter and air cleaner, most farmers conducted fewer times than the necessary times. And, 5.3%, 7.7%, and 2.9% of surveyed farmers experienced breakdowns due to the insufficient cleanness or exchange oil, fuel filer, and air cleaner, respectively. 3. Most farmers(76.1%) recognized the necessity of farm machinery training or education, and they preferred one week for the training period, simple or easy maintenance for the training level, agricultural technical center or farm machinery manufacturer for the training agency. 4. Complete recognition of operation manual and sufficient maintenance before-, during-, and after-operation for the farm machinery can minimize the breakdowns, enlarge the endurance prevent the safety accidents, and promote productivity of farm machinery. And, these can be accomplished by the thorough training or education for agricultural machinery.

An Experimental Study on the Combustion Characteristics of a Low NOx Burner Using Reburning Technology

  • The combustion characteristics of a low NOx burner using reburning technology have been experimentally studied. The return burner usually has three distinct reaction zones which include the primary combustion zone, the reburn zone and the burnout zone by provided secondary air. NOx is mainly produced in a primary combustion zone and a certain portion of NOx can be converted to nitrogen in the rebury zone. In the burnout zone, the unburned mixtures are completely oxidated by supplying secondary air. Liquefied Petroleum Gas (LPG) was used as main and reburn fuels. The experimental parameters investigated involve the main/reburn fuel ratio, the primary/secondary air ratio, and the injection location of rebury fuel and secondary air. When the amount of return fuel reaches to the 20-30% of the total fuel used, the overall NO reduction of 50% is achieved. The secondary air is injected by two different ways including vertical and parallel injection. The injector of secondary air is located at the downstream region of furnace for a vertical-injection mode, which is also placed at the inlet primary-air injection region for a parallel-injection mode. In case of the vertical injection of the secondary air flow, the NOx formation of stoichiometric condition at a primary combustion zone is nearly independent of the rebury conditions (locations, fuel/air ratios) while the NOx emission of the fuel-lean condition is considerably influenced by the reburn conditions. In case of the parallel injection of the secondary air, the NOx emission is sensitive to the air ratio rather than the fuel ratio and the reburning process often coupled with the multiple air-staging and fuel-staging combustion processes.

철도차량용 공기스프링 신뢰성 시험 및 평가 (Reliability Test and Evaluation of Air Spring for Railway Vehicle)

  • Air spring system was accepted for railway vehicle secondary suspension to reduce and absorb the vibration and noise. The low natural frequency ensures a comfortable ride and an invariably good stiffness. In this paper, the characteristics and durability test was conducted in laboratory by using servo-hydraulic fatigue testing system to reliability evaluation of air spring for electric railway vehicle. The experimental results show that the characteristics and durability of domestic development productions are obtained the good results. And to guarantee the adaption of air spring, the ride comfort and air pressure variation were measured in train test on subway line.

냉매 내 공기혼입에 따른 에어컨 시스템의 냉각성능 저하 (Cooling Performance Deficiency of Air Conditioning System According to Air Quantity Included in Refrigerant)

  • This study was performed to present the diagnosis basis of cooling performance deficiency according to air quantity included in refrigerant of air-conditioner by detecting the temperatures and pressures of refrigerant pipeline. The car air-conditioner of SONATA III (Hyundai motor Co., Korea) was tested by maximum cooling condition at 1500 rpm of engine speed in the room with controlled air condition at $33\sim35^{\circ}C$ and 55~57% RH. Measured variables were temperature differences between inlet and outlet pipe surface of the compressor (Tcom), condenser (Tcon), receive dryer (Trec) and evaporator (Teva), and high pressure (HP) and low pressure (LP) in the refrigerant pipeline, and temperature difference (Tcoo) between inlet and outlet air of the cooling vent of evaporator. Control variables were the refrigerant charging weight and the vacuum degree in the refrigerant pipeline before charging refrigerant. From the test, it was represented that the measuring values of (Tcom), LP and (Tcoo) were enabled to make the diagnosis of cooling performance deficiency according to quantity included in refrigerant of air-conditioner. The ranges of Tcom, LP and Tcoo to make the diagnosis of cooling performance deficiency were respectively less than $55^{\circ}C$, more than 166.7 kPa-g(1.7 kgf/$cm^2$) and less than $13.7^{\circ}C$. In the case of using only external sensors and the condition under the normal performances of air conditioner, it was considered that the ranges of LP and Tcoo to make the diagnosis of cooling performance deficiency were respectively more than 166.7 Pa and less than $12^{\circ}C$.

Nondestructive Measurement of Cheese Texture using Noncontact Air-instability Compensation Ultrasonic Sensors

  • Purpose: Cheese texture is an important sensory attribute mainly considered for consumers' acceptance. The feasibility of nondestructive measurements of cheese texture was explored using non-contact ultrasonic sensors. Methods: A novel non-contact air instability compensation ultrasonic technique was used for five varieties of hard cheeses to measure ultrasonic parameters, such as velocity and attenuation coefficient. Five texture properties, such as fracturability, hardness, springiness, cohesiveness, and chewiness were assessed by a texture profile analysis (TPA) and correlated with the ultrasonic parameters. Results: Texture properties of five varieties of hard cheese were estimated using ultrasonic parameters with regression analysis models. The most effective model predicted the fracturability, hardness, springiness, and chewiness, with the determination coefficients of 0.946 (RMSE = 21.82 N), 0.944 (RMSE = 63.46 N), 0.797 (RMSE = 0.06 ratio), and 0.833 (RMSE = 17.49 N), respectively. Conclusions: This study demonstrated that the non-contact air instability compensation ultrasonic sensing technique can be an effective tool for rapid and non-destructive determination of cheese texture.

웨이퍼 본딩 장비용 Uniform Press 개발 (Development of Uniform Press for Wafer Bonder)

  • 스마트폰을 비롯한 고성능 모바일 전자기기의 발전에 따라서 경박단소한 전자부품의 요구가 커지고 있으며 이를 위해서 새로운 패키징 방법이 탄생하고 있다. 이러한 새로운 패키징 공정에서 웨이퍼 본딩 공정이 많이 요구되고 있다. 웨이퍼 본딩에서 많이 활용되는 방법이 열 압착 방법으로 가열된 헤드로 웨이퍼에 압력을 가하여 본딩하는 방법이다. 열 압착 방법에서 요구되는 공정조건은 온도 균일성과 Uniform Press이다. 온도 균일성은 마이크로 히터와 열 해석을 통한 설계로 비교적 쉽게 요구조건을 만족 시킬 수 있지만 Uniform Press를 가공과 조립으로만 요구조건을 만족시키기 위해서는 매우 높은 정밀도가 요구된다. 열 압착 방법은 고온에서 동작되므로 열 변형에 대한 기계적인 오차를 고려하여 설계, 가공, 조립이 진행되어야하므로 많은 어려움이 따른다. 본 연구에서는 Air 스프링과 Metal Form의 자가 보정장치를 이용하여 가공, 조립, 열 변형으로 발생하는 기계적 오차를 보상하여 성능과 신뢰성을 향상시켰다.

SELECTION OF THE SENSORS FOR THE ENVIRONMENTAL CONTROL SYSTEMS OF PIG-HOUSING IN TEMPERATE ZONE

  • This study was conducted to select the sensors for measuring temperature, relative humidity, and air velocity among the major environmental factors affecting the pig productivity as a part of the study for the optimum production system model development of pig-housing. The study results are summarized as the follows : Two sensors , HMP233L and HANI, were tested for measuring temperature and relative humidity , Test results were analyzed by the statistical methods. And the sensor, HMP233L was selected as a proper sensor for temperature sand relative humidity measurement . An air velocity sensor was tested. Test results showed that its accuracy was low and incongruent for the air velocity measurement when it was lower than 4m/s.
