제연구역 방화문의 각속도 변화와 폐쇄 조건 분석 (A Study on the Conditions of Injection Pressurization in the Smoke-Control Zone II. Analysis of the Conditions for Closing Force of Fire Door with Variation of Angular Velocity)

  • 본 연구는 풍도, 부속실, 거실 그리고 계단실로 구성된 구조물의 제연설비 성능에 관한 연구를 수행하고 급기 가압실의 안전성을 구현하기 위한 실험 자료를 구축하고자 하는데 목적이 있다. 이를 위해서 부속실 가압 및 차압 조절 설비와 방화문의 개폐력 측정 장치를 제작하였다. 본 주제는 부속실의 가압을 위한 설계유량과 폐쇄시 차압이 동일한 경우 방화문의 크기와 닫히는 각속도 증가에 따라서 폐쇄력을 분석하였다. 실험 결과 방화문의 크기와 닫히는 각속도가 증가 할수록 폐쇄력이 증가하였으며, 일정 각속도 이상으로 증가할 경우 폐쇄력이 일정하게 유지되는 임계각속도가 존재하는 것을 확인하였다.

MAP 기반 DME용 엔진 제어로직 개발 (Development of Map-Based Engine Control Logic for DME Fuel)

  • 본 연구는 DME 연료를 사용할 수 있도록 변경된 엔진의 제어 알고리즘, 로직구성 및 차량상태에서 검증결과를 나타낸 것으로써, 제어구조 및 자동코드 생성기법에 의한 제어로직 설계과정과 제어 맵을 소개하고 최종적으로 제어의 신뢰성 및 성능을 검증한 것이다. 제어구조는 운전자 요구를 엔진발생토크로 구현하기위한 분사제어부와 배기가스 및 동력특성을 만족시키기 위한 공기제어 시스템부로 크게 구성되며, 제어로직은 제어응답성을 향상시키기 위하여 각 제어 기능별로 앞먹임 및 뒤먹임 제어부로 설계되었고, 앞먹임 제어부의 제어 맵은 엔진모델을 이용하여 생성한 뒤, 이를 엔진 및 차량 시험과정에서 보정하였다. 개발된 제어기를 장착하여 차량 시험모드를 완주하였으며, EGR, VGT 및 분사시기 보정에 의하여 배출가스 저감효과를 확인하였다.

디젤기관의 배기 배출물에 미치는 스크러버형 EGR 시스템 재순환 배기의 영향에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Effect of Recirculated Exhaust Gas with Scrubber EGR System upon Exhaust Emissions in Diesel Engines)

  • The effects of recirculated exhaust gas on the characteristics of $NO_x$ and soot emissions under a wide range of engine load have been experimentally investigated by a water-cooled, four-cylinder, indirect injection, four cycle and marine diesel engine operating at two kinds of engine speeds. The simultaneous control of $NO_x$ and soot emissions in diesel engines is targeted in this study. The EGR system is used to reduce $NO_x$ emissions, and a novel diesel soot removal device with a cylinder-type scrubber for the experiment system which has 6 water injectors(A water injector has 144 nozzles in 1.0 mm diameter) is specially designed and manufactured to reduce the soot contents in the recirculated exhaust gas to intake system of the engines. The intake oxygen concentration and the mean equivalence ratio calculated by the intake air flow and fuel consumption rate, and the exhaust oxygen concentration measured are used to analyse and discuss the influences of EGR rate on $NO_x$ and soot emissions. The experiments are performed at the fixed fuel injection timing of $15.3^{\circ}$ BTDC regardless of experimental conditions. It is found that $NO_x$ emissions are decreased and soot emissions are increased owing to the drop of intake oxygen concentration and exhaust oxygen concentration, and the rise of equivalence ratio as the EGR rate rises.

선회유동 및 연소인자가 터보과급 디젤엔진의 성능 및 배기가스특성에 미치는 영향 (Effects of Swirl and Combustion Parameters on the Performance and Emission in a Turbocharged D.1. Diesel Engine)

  • 본 연구는 선회유동과 연소인자가 9.4L인 터보과급 디젤엔진의 성능과 배기가스특성에 미치는 영향을 실험적으로 고찰하였다. 일반적으로 디젤엔진의 연소과정에서 선회유동은 분사되고 있는 연료와 흡칩공기의 혼합을 촉진시켜 줌으로써 엔진성능을 향상시키는데 매우 중요한 인자가 된다. 특히 터보과급 디젤엔진에서는 실린더내의 고온.고압가스로 인하여 연비와 NO$_{x}$ 농도는 서로 상반관계를 가지므로 적절한 용량의 과급기선정으로 흡.배기시스템, 분사시스템 및 연소실의 설계 등을 고려할 필요가 있다. 본 연구의 결과로서, 정상유동실험을 통하여 선회비가 증가함으로써 평균유량계수가 감소하고, 반면에 걸프 펙터가 증가함을 알 수 있었다. 또한 엔진실험을 통하여 흡기포트의 선회비 2.43, 분사시기 BTDC 13$^{\circ}$ CA, 압축비 16, 리앤트란트 5$^{\circ}$형 연소실, 노즐분공경 $\Phi$0.28*6 및 과급기 GT40(압축기 A/R 0.58, 터빈 A/R 1.19)의 적용인자가 최적의 성능 및 배기가스를 만족시킬 수 있었다.

성대내낭종에서 성대내바늘기법의 효과 (The Effects of Intralaryngeal Needle Technique in Intracordal Cyst)

  • Background and Objectives : Surgery is considered the primary treatment for intracordal cyst. However, patients who had undergone surgery are still subject to recurrence and continued voice changes. Intracordal cysts naturally disappear in some patient population. Cyst does not always recur in patients who had received partial surgical removal, too. Contradicting results raises a question whether complete surgical removal of intracordal cyst is necessary and demonstrate need for better treatment. Herein, the author proposes novel surgical method technique intralaryngeal needle technique (INT), a technique using surgical needle for not only injection but also for aspiration and excision of cyst. This study aims to examine the potential of intralaryngeal needle technique in treating intracordal cysts. Materials and Methods : Surgical procedures were done on in-patients diagnosed with intracordal cyst. 23 patients received follow-up screening after the surgery for one year. Patients' subjective satisfaction levels, acoustic measures, aerodynamic measures, laryngeal stroboscopic results were compared before and after the treatment. Results : Overall patients were satisfied with novel surgical excision method. In terms of aerodynamic measures, maximum phonation time, mean air flow rate improved after the surgery. In terms of acoustic measures, Jitter, Shimmer, NHR, and voice pitch changes after the treatment showed statistically significant differences. Laryngeal stroboscopy results showed significant decreases in cyst sizes. Post-surgery patients had improved mucosal waves and amplitudes values. Conclusion : The results show the validity of intralaryngeal needle technique in reducing intracordal cyst size by excision, aspiration, and injection. The author believes this novel technique can be used as an alternative surgical method for intracordal cysts.

근육내 자극요법 후 목빗근내 농양의 치험례 (A Case of Intramuscular Abscess in the Sternocleidomastoid Muscle after Intramuscular Stimulation (IMS))

  • Purpose: Intramuscular stimulation (IMS) shows good results in the treatment of chronic pain patients who did not respond to other treatments such as oral analgesics, trigger point injection, nerve block and epidural steroid injection. But, IMS procedure especially, patients with diabetes mellitus (DM) has sometimes serious problem. So, we present a very rare case of intramuscular abscess in the sternocleiomastoid muscle after IMS with literature review. Methods: A 66 year old male visited our department 7 days after IMS in the neck. His premorbid conditions and risk factors of deep neck infection was DM and old age. Computed tomographic scans of the head and neck region were performed in this patient: signs of deep neck infection, were seen enhanced abscess in the sternocleidomastoid muscle, cellulitis overlying tissue of the neck, and air bubbles involved muscle. Necrotic wound was excised serially and we treated this with the Vacuum-assisted closure (VAC, Kinetics Concepts International, San Antonio, Texas) system device. After appropriately shaping the sponge in the pockets, continuous negative pressure of 125 mmHg was applied. The VAC therapy was utilized for a period of 12 days. Results: We obtained satisfactory results from wide excision, drainage of the abscess with the VAC system, and then primary closure. The postoperative course was uneventful. Results: We suggest that many of the infectious complications may be preventable by strict adherence to aseptic techniques and that some of the other complications may be minimized by refining the techniques with a clear understanding of the medical disorders of patients. And, the refined technique using the VAC system can provide a means of simple and effective management for the cervical intramuscular abscess, with better cosmetic and functional results.

급속압축팽창기를 이용한 DME의 HCCI 연소 (HCCI Combustion of DME in a Rapid Compression and Expansion Machine)

  • Compression ignition of homogeneous charges in IC engines indicates possibilities of achieving the high efficiency of DI diesel engines with low level of NOx and particulate emissions. The objectives of this study are to further understand the characteristics of the HCCI(Homogeneous charge compression ignition) combustion and to find ways of extending the rich HCCI operation limit in an engine-like environment. DME fuel is supplied either in the form of premixture with air or directly injected in the combustion chamber of a rapid compression and expansion machine under the conditions of various equivalence ratio and injection timing. The cylinder pressure is measured and the rate of heat release is computed from the measured pressure for the analysis of the combustion characteristics. The experimental data show that the RCEM can operate without knock on mixtures of higher equivalence ratio, when DME is directly injected in the combustion chamber than introduced as a fraction of a perfect or nearly perfect premixture. Very early fuel injection timings usually employed in HCCI operation are seen to have only insignificant effects in control of ignition timing.

  • 본 연구에서는 상호작용상류의 난류경계층에 분출을 가해서 경계층을 불안정 화시키고 이 불안정화된 난류경계층과 사각입사충격파와의 상호작용을 실험적으로 연 구하였다. Squire-Smith와는 다른 실험모형의 새로운 형태를 제시하였고 상호작용영 역에서 경계층의 압력분포 및 속도분포를 측정해서 충격파반사의 형태를 밝혔다.

The intake oxygen concentration obtained by the intake air flow and the oxygen concentration in the recirculated exhaust gas, and the exhaust oxygen concentration measured in exhaust manifold are used to analyse and discuss the influences of EGR on NOx and soot emissions. The experiments are performed at the fixed fuel injection timing of $15.3^{\circ}$ BTDC regardless of experimental conditions. It is found that $NO_x$ emissions decrease and soot emissions increase owing to the drop of intake oxygen concentration and exhaust oxygen concentration as EGR rate rises. Also, one can conclude that it is sufficient for the scrubber EGR system with a novel diesel soot removal apparatus to reduce $NO_x$ emissions, but not to reduce soot emissions.

Effect Of Cocaine Administration on the Development of Mouse Embryos

  • Mophological normal of unfertilized oocytes, which was collected 12-14 hours after human Chorionic Gonadotropin(jCG) injection, was not influenced by chronically adiministration of cocaine for 2 weeks in mice. Proportion of normal unfertilized oocytes in non-cocaine treated group (control), `0 mg/kg and 20 mg/kg cocaine treated group based on body weight with subcutaneous(s.c.) daily injection of cocaine for 2 weeks were 92.9%, 85.6% and 90.9%, respectively. There is no significant difference between control and cocaine treated groups. Two to 8 cell stage embryos collected 24-48 hours post hCG in control group were 66.7%, whereas, 10 mg/kg and 20 mg/kg groups treated with cocaine was 12.5% and 27.3% respectively. Although control and treated groups are significantly different (p<0.05) the developmental score of 2 to 8 cell stage embryos collected at 24-48 hours post HCG, there is no difference between 10 mg/kg and 20 mg/kg treated with cocaine groups. These results indicated that the normal embryos of the roups of cocaine administration were significantly amested when compared with that of control group. The proportion of 2 to 8 cell stage embryo reaching the blastocyst stage, which were cultured 48-52 hours with 5% $Co_2$ in air at $37^{\circ}C$, were 93.9% in control group and, 70.4% and 71.9% in each 10 mg/kg and to blastocyst in vitro culture was significantly limited embryos obtained from cocanized mice compared with those of control mice. These results suggest that episode of cocaine intoxication can cause impaiment of early embrygenesis in the mouse.
