  • 본 논문에서는 AIoT를 위한 비주얼 블록 코딩 도구를 설계하였다. AI 블록 코딩이 가능한 EduB 플랫폼에 피지컬 컴퓨팅을 가능하게 하는 모듈을 추가함으로써 블록을 사용한 쉬운 피지컬컴퓨팅 코딩과 AIoT 코딩이 가능하다. 도구는 WebSocket과 Wifi를 사용해 EduB와 타겟보드인 RaspberryPi의 무선 통신을 하며, 블록으로 생성된 코드를 RaspberryPi 내부에서 실행하여 GPIO와 SenseHAT을 제어할 수 있게 하였다. 따라서, 코딩 결과를 콘솔 출력이나 그래프로만 확인할 수 있어 정적이던 AI 교육을 LED나 모터를 제어해 동적으로 결과를 확인할 수 있게 하여 흥미와 관심을 유발할 수 있도록 한다.

Helkimos Indices and Frictions Craniomandibular Index in Korean Young Population

  • To evaluate Helhimo's Anamnestic Dysfunction Index(AI), Helkimo's Clinical Dysfunction Index(HDI), and Friction's Craniomandibular Index(CMI) in Korean Young population, clinical examinations were performed in 207 dental college students who were healthy and had no evidence of the craniomandibular disorders. The obtained results were as follows; 1. The mean values of the Helkimo's Anamnestic Index(AI), Clinical Dysfunction Index(HDI), Fricton's Palpation Index(PI), Dysfunction Index(DI), and Craniomandibular Index(CMI) were 0.35, 0.71, 0.03, 0.05, and 0.04 in male subjects. 2. The mean values of the Helkimo's Anamnestic Index(AI), Clinical Dysfunction Index(HDI), Fricton's Palpation Index(PT), Dysfunction Index(DI), and Fricton's Craniomandibular Index(CMI) were 0.42, 0.72, 0.02, 0.04, and 0.03 in female subjects. 3. There was no statistically significant difference between male and female subjects in each parameter. 4. The palpation index(PI) observed in Korean Young Population was lower than that in American population.

  • As more and more companies introduce artificial intelligent(AI) speakers, the price of the speakers has become a burden to someone. Based on some knowledge and dexterity, it is not difficult to make an AI speaker that acquires sensor information and environmental information of the house in accordance with your own taste. In this paper, we implement an AI speaker using Raspberry Pie, Google Cloud Speech (GCS) and Naver's Clova Speech Synthesis (CSS) API.

Performance Analysis to Evaluate the Suitability of MicroVM with AI Applications for Edge Computing

  • In this paper, we analyze the performance of MicroVM when running AI applications on an edge computing environment and whether it can replace current container technology and traditional virtual machines. To achieve this, we set up Docker container, Firecracker MicroVM and KVM virtual machine environments on a Raspberry Pi 4 and executed representative AI applications in each environment. We analyze the inference time, total CPU usage and trends over time and file I/O performance on each environment. The results show that there is no significant performance difference between MicroVM and container when running AI applications. Moreover, on average, a stable inference time over multiple trials was observed on MicroVM. Therefore, we can confirm that executing AI applications using MicroVM instead of container or heavy-weight virtual machine is suitable for an edge computing.

Korean Semantic Role Labeling Using Structured SVM (Structural SVM 기반의 한국어 의미역 결정)

  • Semantic role labeling (SRL) systems determine the semantic role labels of the arguments of predicates in natural language text. An SRL system usually needs to perform four tasks in sequence: Predicate Identification (PI), Predicate Classification (PC), Argument Identification (AI), and Argument Classification (AC). In this paper, we use the Korean Propbank to develop our Korean semantic role labeling system. We describe our Korean semantic role labeling system that uses sequence labeling with structured Support Vector Machine (SVM). The results of our experiments on the Korean Propbank dataset reveal that our method obtains a 97.13% F1 score on Predicate Identification and Classification (PIC), and a 76.96% F1 score on Argument Identification and Classification (AIC).

A Development of Shoes Cleaner Control System using Raspberry Pi

  • Since leather shoes cannot be washed with water, there is a need for a cleaning method that can remove extraneous substance from the inside and outside of shoes and senitize the inside of shoes without using water. For this purpose, this paper develops a shoes cleaning machine control system that automatically controls the entire process of shoes cleaning in a shoes cleaning machine that quickly cleans the inside and outside of shoes using compressed air, sterilization solution. The developed system uses Rasberry Pi, a general purpose single board computer(SBC), to control various actuators of the shoes cleaning machine. The shoes cleaning machine operated by the developed system shows a sterilization efficiency of more than 99% and an odor removal efficiency of more than 86% in a cleaning time of less than 1 minute.

  • As a result of experimenting the temperature characteristics of origination voltage in Al/$AL_1,O_3/PI (nL)/Au, the sample of polyimide LB film and AI/$AL_1,O_3/Cls TCNQ(lOL)/Al, the difference of work function is found between upper and lower electrodes. If polyimide LB film is accumulated with Z type or becomes imide, the polarization of the film is not made. And AI/$AL_2,O_3/C-{15}TCNQ( IOL)/ AI which is the CI5 TCNQ LB film sample doesn't show the difference of work function because it has the same upper and lower electrode and the polarization is found on the film. As a result of experiment with MIM element of LB ultra thin film, Direct current more than hun¬dreds of m V is generated and it can be used for industrial power resources in the area of electricity, electronics and information communication.

Fucoidan Upregulates Chemotactic Activity of Porcine Peripheral Blood Polymorphonuclear Cells to Interleukin-8 by PI3K Activation

  • Fucoidan increases the chemotactic activity of peripheral blood polymorphonuclear cells (PMNs) through interleukin (IL)-8 produced by peripheral blood mononuclear cells (PBMCs). It has been demonstrated that fucoidan can regulate the chemotaxis of PMNs by activating F-actin polymerization. The objectives of this study are to investigate the direct effect of fucoidan on the chemotaxis of porcine PMNs and to examine whether this effect is associated with changes in phosphoinositide 3-kinase (PI3K) activity. The chemotactic activity of porcine PMNs was evaluated by modified Boyden chamber assay. Akt phosphorylation activity, a main downstream of PI3K, was measured by Western blotting assay. Fucoidan itself has no chemoattractant effect for PMNs. However, direct treatment of PMNs with fucoidan showed higher chemotactic activity to porcine recombinant (pr) IL-8 than that of PMNs without fucoidan. The increased chemotactic activity of fucoidan-treated PMNs to pr IL-8 was suppressed by treatment of wortmannin, an inhibitor of PI3K. Treatment of PMNs with fucoidan also increased Akt phosphorylation level. This increase was also suppressed by wortmannin. These results suggested that fucoidan can upregulate chemotactic activity of porcine PMNs to IL-8, which is associated with PI3K activation.

Effect of Degumming Reagents on the Recovery and Nature of Acetone Insolubles from Rice Bran Oil (미강유로부터 Acetone Insolubles 회수 및 성질에 미치는 탈검제의 영향)

  • Six reagents (water, citric acid, phosphoric acid, oxalic acid, acetic anhydride and maleic anhydride) were evaluated for their effectiveness is degumming rice bran oil. All chemical reagents tested were found to be significantly more effective than water in removing phosphatides from crude rice bran oil. Especially acetic anhydride and phosphoric acid were effective in reducing phosphorous levels (92.5% and 93.3% removeal, respectively). Nonhydratable phospholipids, lysophosphatidyl choline, were removed more effectively by the chemical reagents than by the water degumming. The major phospholipid(PL) components were phophatidyl choline. Oleic, linolieic and palmitic acids were the major fatty acids of PL in rice bran acetone insolubles(AI). The AI recovered by acetic anhydride degumming produced the most stable emulsions. However, the AI obtained from phophoric acid or oxalic acid treatments had very poor emulsifying properties.

Cytoprotective effect of Eriobotrya japonica L. against the iron-induced oxidative stress through AMPK activation (AMPK 활성화를 통한 중금속 유발 산화적 스트레스에 대한 비파엽의 세포 보호 효과)

  • Objectives : In this study, we investigated the cytoprotective effect of Eriobotrya japonica L. (EJ) extract against Arachidonic acid (AA)+iron-induced oxidative stress. Methods : To confirm the cytoprotective effect of EJ against AA+iron-induced oxidative stress in HepG2 cells, it was evaluated by MTT assay, immunoblot anaylsis, and Calcein-AM/propidium iodide (PI) staining. Additionally, the mechanism of action of the cytoprotective effect was evaluated through molecular mechanisms. Results : EJ (100 ㎍/mL) inhibited Arachidonic acid (AA)+iron-induced cell death in a concentration-dependent manner. It also inhibited AA+iron-induced mitochondrial dysfunction and ROS production. EJ activated the LKB1-AMPK signaling pathway. Conclusions : In conclusion, EJ has the ability to protect liver cells from oxidative stress, indicating that it is related to AMPK-LKB1 signaling pathways.
