  • This research introduces an innovative approach to revolutionize inventory management strategies amid unpredictable demand and uncertainties. Introducing a Fuzzy Economic Order Quantity (EOQ) model, enriched with the centroid defuzzification method and supervised machine learning, the study offers a comprehensive solution for optimized decision-making. The model transcends traditional inventory paradigms by seamlessly integrating fuzzy logic and advanced machine learning, emphasizing adaptability in fast-paced business landscapes. The research unfolds against the backdrop of agile inventory management advocacy, with key contributions including the centroid defuzzification method for crisp interpretation and the integration of linear regression for cost prediction. The study employs a real-life bakery scenario to demonstrate the efficacy of both crisp and fuzzy models, underscoring the latter's superiority in handling uncertainties. Comparative analysis reveals nuanced impacts of uncertainty on inventory decisions, while linear regression establishes statistical relationships for cost predictions. The findings underscore the pivotal role of fuzzy logic in optimizing inventory management, paving the way for future enhancements, advanced machine learning integration, and real-world validation. This research not only contributes to adaptive inventory management evolution but also sets the stage for further exploration and refinement in dynamic business landscapes.

A Study on the Implementation of an Agile SFFS Based on 5DOF Manipulator (5축 매니퓰레이터를 이용한 쾌속 임의형상제작시스템의 구현에 관한 연구)

  • Several Solid Freeform Fabrication Systems(SFFS) are commercialized in a few companies for rapid prototyping. However, they have many technical problems including the limitation of applicable materials. A new method of agile prototyping is required for the recent manufacturing environments of multi-item and small quantity production. The objectives of this paper include the development of a novel method of SFFS, the CAFL/sup VM/(Computer Aided Fabrication of Lamination for Various Material), and the manufacture of the various material samples for the certification of the proposed system and the creation of new application areas. For these objectives, the technologies for a highly accurate robot path control, the optimization of support structure, CAD modeling, adaptive slicing was implemented. However, there is an important problem with the conventional 2D lamination method. That is the inaccuracy of 3D model surface, which is caused by the stair-type surface generated in virtue of vertical 2D cutting. In this paper, We design the new control algorithm that guarantees the constant speed, precise positioning and tangential cutting on the 5DOF SFFS. We develop the tangential cutting algorithm to be controlled with constant speed and successfully implemented in the 5DOF CAFL/sup VM/ system developed in this paper. Finally, this paper confirms its high-performance through the experimental results from the application into CAFL/sup VM/ system.

Minimum-Time Guidance and Control Law for High Maneuvering Missile

  • This paper deals with design procedure of online guidance and control law for future missiles that requires agile maneuverability. For the purpose, the missile with high powered side thruster is proposed. The guidance and control law for such missiles is discussed from a point of view of optimal control theory in this paper. Minimum time problem is solved for the approximated system. It is derived that bang- bang control is optimal input from the necessary conditions of optimal solution. Feedback guidance without iterative calculation is useful for actual systems. In this paper. multiple design point method is applied to design feedback gains and feed forward inputs of the guidance and control law. The numerical results show that the proposed guidance and control law has a high -performance for wide-ranging boundary conditions.

  • Digital Manufacturing is a technology to facilitate effective product developments and agile productions by digital environments representing the physical and logical schema and the behavior of real manufacturing system including manufacturing resources, processes and products. A digital virtual factory as a well-designed and integrated environment is essential for successful applications of this technology. In this research, we constructed a sophisticated digital virtual factory by measuring and 3-D CAD modeling using parametric methods. Specific parameters of each objects were decided by object-oriented schema of the digital factory. It is expected that this method is very useful for constructions of a digital factory, and helps to manage diverse information and re-use 3D models.

  • In CLOS guidance, feedback compensation of the Coriolis acceleration is used to reduce miss distance. This paper presents the effects of the bandwidth of target and missile on the optimal Coriolis acceleration compensation. A state space formulation of CLOS guidance is used to implement CLOS guidance in feedback form. And the LQR control method is applied to find the optimal feedback gain. From the analysis of the Riccati equations of the optimal control, the following facts are observed: When the target is agile, the optimal gain is reduced, since the compensation becomes ineffective. The missile bandwidth also affects the Coriolis accleration compensation. Narrower missile requires more compensation for the Coriolis acceleration.

  • Time-Optimal solutions for attitude control with reaction wheels as well as with thrusters are studied. The suggested varying-time-sharing ratio thrusting is found to reduce the maneuvering time enormously. The hybrid control such as sequential hybrid and simultaneous hybrid with reaction wheels and thrusters are considered. The results show that simultaneous hybrid method reduces the maneuver time very much. Spacecraft model is KOrea Multi-Purpose SATellite(KOMPSAT)-II, which is being developed by KARI in KOREA as an agile maneuvering satellite.

  • Control Moment Gyroscope(CMG) is one of the most efficient momentum exchange devices for satellite attitude control and essential device for agile maneuver system. This paper presents the details of a designed Single Gimbal CMG with a constant speed momentum wheel and single axis attitude control unstable to stable. In order to keep the naturally unstable equivalent point, it should be controlling the gimbal constantly. The experimental data are compared with theoretical result and requirements are used to verify their performance specifications.

  • In this paper, an agile programmable chirp spread spectrum generator for wideband frequency-jamming applications from 20 MHz to 3 GHz is proposed. A frequency-mixing architecture using two voltage-controlled oscillators is used to achieve a wideband operating frequency range, and the direct digital synthesizer (DDS)-based chirping method with a two-point modulation technique is employed to provide a programmable and consistent chirp bandwidth. The proposed signal generator provides the various programmable FM signals from 20 MHz to 3 GHz with a modulation bandwidth from 0 to 400 MHz. The prototype successfully demonstrates arbitrary sequential jamming operation with a fast band-to-band hopping time of < 10 ${\mu}sec$.

  • Increasing competition is due to internationalization in market. This result requires various products in a rapid development of product. Die design is one of bottleneck areas in product development. It takes 40% of total time for whole car development. Therefore a new method should be developed as a fundament on which the design process of die can be carried out effectively. This can be realized by using modular design based on standard template. In this paper a modular design concept will be discussed.
