In this study, we investigated the modeling and design of an Intelligent Agent System (IAS). To achieve this goal, we introduced several kinds of agents that exhibit intelligent features. These are the main agent, management agent, watcher agent, report agent and application agent. We applied the intelligent agent concept to two different application fields, i.e. the intelligent agent system for pattern classification and the intelligent agent system for bank asset management modeling.

홈 서버와 가정용서비스 로봇, 다양한 Device를 포함하는 홈 네트워크 시스템을 이용하여 가정환경 내에서 발생 가능한 다양하게 분산된 임무들을 수행하는데 있어서 Multi-Agent 시스템을 응용하는 것은 효율적이라고 알려져 있다. 이러한 시스템에서 휴먼 인터페이스와 물리적 서비스 제공의 중추 역할을 하는 것은 바로 지능형 서비스 로봇이다. 따라서, 기존의 Multi Agent System을 응용하여 Multi Agent Robot System을 정의할 수 있다. 가정이라는 'open'된 특성의 환경에서 Multi Agent Robot System이 사용자에게 좀 더 효율적인 서비스를 제공하기 위해서는 존재하는 모든 Agent 간의 유기적인 정보교환과 협력이 필요하다. 이것을 위하여 자율구동하며 사용자에게 물리적 서비스를 제공할 수 있는 다수의 로봇들을 Agent로 정의하고, 로봇 Agent간의 통신과, 로봇 이외의 Agent로써의 역할을 감당할 수 있는 홈 서버 등의 Agent와 로봇 Agent들의 통신을 사용자 interface에 직접 표현할 수 있는 시뮬레이터를 설계, 제시한다.

This paper embodies the agent based cinder monitoring system which supports PDA(Personal Digital Assistant). Monitoring system automatically manages data by using data managing agents such as a state managing agent, a location managing agent, a badness managing agent, a circumstances managing agent, etc, and uses a massive data processing agent to manage massive data. The development of agent based data monitoring system for the stable cinder reuse will be an epoch-making method to develop the process mechanized or manual-labored that widely spreads into the real-time automated process.

A RMON agent system, which locates on a subnet, collects the network traffic information for management by retrieving and analyzing all of the packets on the subnet. The RMON agent system can miss some packets due to the high packet analyzing overhead when the number of packets on the subnet is huge. In this paper, we have developed a light-weight RMON agent system that can handle a large amount of packets without packet loss. Our RMON agent system has also been designed such that its functionality can be added dynamically when needed. To demonstrate the dynamic reconfiguration capability of our RMON agent system, a simple port scanning attack detection module is added to the RMON agent system. We have also evaluated the performance of our RMON agent system on a large network that has a huge traffic. The test result has shown our RMON agent system can analyze the network packets without packet loss.

An agent is a computer program that acts autonomously on a computer system. A mobile agent is not bound to the system where it begins execution. It has an ability to transport itself from on e system in a network to another. Mobile agent system solve the network traffic problem. Moreover, the agent may utilize the object services of the destination agent system. In this study the mobile agent system is introduced to support security service.

The paper proposed a basic architecture of an agent system to support exchange and sharing of design informations by means of ACL(Agent Communication Language) which can represent design informations and knowledges. Based on the architecture of the agent system a ship initial design agent system was implemented in order to show the effectiveness of the agent-based system. The basic architecture of the agent consists of an ACL handlerand CORBA(Common Object Request Broker Architecture) objects for the exchange of ACL messages in the heterogeneous and distributed environment. The ACL handler can process expressions of knowledge and manage communication messages among the agents. The paper mainly focuses on the implementation of the ACL handler. The ACL handler consist of a KQML(Knowledge Query and Manipulation Language) handler that manages KQML messages, a conversation module, and a content handler that handles message contents. The conversation modulo implements conversation policies and checks all messages if they are allowable and meaningful messages based on the conversation policies. The implemented agent-based system was applied to the ship initial design to show the handling procedure of the agent system.

In this paper, a protection system using Multi-Agent concept for power distribution network is proposed. Multi agent system consist of Feeder agent, OCR(Over Current Relay) agent, Recloser agent and Switch agent. An agent calculates and corrects its parameter by itself through communication with neighboring agents and its own intelligence algorithm. Simulations in a simple distribution network show the effectiveness of the suggested protection system. Multi-Agent System, protection of distribution network, Communication.

In this research, we developed a Multi-Agent based Negotiation Support System to be able to increase the competitive power of a company in dynamic environment and correspond to various orders of customers by diffusion of electronic commerce. The system uses the agent technology that is being embossed as new paradigm in dynamic environment and flexible system framework. The multi-agent technology is used to solve these problem through cooperation of agent. The system consists of six sub agents: mediator, manufacturability analysis agent, process planning agent, scheduling agent, selection agent, negotiation-strategy building agent. In this paper, the proposed Multi-Agent based Negotiation Support System takes aim at the automation of transaction process from ordering to manufacturing plan through the automation of negotiation that is the most important in order-taking transaction.
