  • 본 논문에서는 이동 에이전트가 작동할 수 있는 환경을 제공하는 이동 에이전트 스스템(Mobile Agent System )을 설계 및 구현하였다. 이동 에이전트 시스템은 자바 언너를 기반으로 하여금 구현하였으며. OMG의 MAF(Mobile Agent Facility) 표준에 따라 구현하여 CORBA분산환경에서의 상호 운용성을 제공한다. 개발한 이동 에이전트 시스템을 이용하여 CORBA기본 서비스 중에 하나인 명명 서비스를 실현하였다.

Network Management Architecture using Mobile Agent technology (Mobile Agent 기술을 이용한 네트워크 관리 구조)

  • Mobile Agent is a movable software program that autonomously runs on behalf of its operator in a network environment. It has been widely applied to various kinds of computer engineering. In this paper, a network management architecture using the mobile agent technology in the distributed network environment is proposed. After manager system creates the mobile agent, it searches a proxy, a distributed object that acts as the substitute for a SNMP agent. In order to get the management information that manager requires, the mobile agent goes to the proxy and does operations on it. So, only the concise results from the operation are sent to the managing system. The proposed architecture is based on CORBA that provides several transparent characteristics in the distributed environment. In additional, the proxy object that represents the SNMP agent enables the mobile agent and the SNMP agent to converse with themselves. In this architecture, the mobile agent can carry out an automated management function, easily change and modify management functions. Therefore, it can provide an efficient management way.

  • 웹과 CORBA(Common Object Request Broker)의 통합은 사용자에게 많은 장점을 제공하며, 현재 이를 자바(Java)언어로 구현한 JavaORB 는 다수의 제품이 나와 있다. 본 논문에서는 Java ORB의 기능을 향상시키는 이름 에이전트(naming agent)의 설계 및 구현에 관하여 기술한다. 이름 에이전트는 두가지 기능을 웹 사용자에게 제공한다. 첫째, 이름에이젼트는 웹 사용자에게 기존의 CORBA 이름 서비스를 제공하며, 또한 모든 이름 서비스에 등록된 모든 객체 구현에 대한 통합된 이름 서비스 기능을 제공한다. 둘째, 이름 에이전트는 자바로 구현된 CORBA 객체를 사용자 브라우저에서 직접 실행할 수 있도록 하는 기능을 제공한다.

  • 전자상거래가 활성화됨에 따라 지능형 에이전트를 사용한 쇼핑몰의 출현이 가속화되고 있다. 지능형 에이전트를 이용한 전자상거래에 대한 연구는 활발히 진행되고 있으나 각 데이터베이스 시스템들 간의 프로토콜의 차이로 인해 사용영역이 극히 제한된 실정이다. 본 연구에서는 이러한 문제 해결을 위하여 분산 데이터베이스에서 직접 정보를 얻는 구매 에이전트 시스템을 설계하는데 분산환경의 미들웨어인 CORBA를 이용하고자 한다.

  • In this paper, we design and implement web based Intranet Management Report Publisher (IMRP) that generates automatically daily, weekly, monthly and yearly report for configuration, performance and fault management of the Intranet. Intranet managers can analyze status of the Intranet with IMRP easier The IMRP publishes the Intranet management reports based on TINA (Telecommunication Information Networking Architecture) using CORBA(Common Object Request Broker Architecture). The advantages of this architecture are to protect the Intranet management system by being connected to the User Agent program and to raise the efficiency of maintenance by modifying only the User Agent program as accessing part of the Intranet management system is needed to change.

  • The role of autonomic and intelligent agents in various environments is getting more important as demand on ubiquitous computing grows. The agents exchange information using the ACL (Agent Communication Language) to autonomously solve the problems. In this paper we propose a way of efficient interoperability technique between the agent framework built based on the international standard FIPA(Foundation for Intelligent Physical Agents) and the CORBA event service-based information bus adapter developed by us. The design and implementation of EMTI (Efficient Message Transport Interface) allowing communication between the information bus adapter which is non-agent platform and JADE platform are presented and its performance is evaluated by letting them exchange a large amount of messages.

  • There are many methods to enhance the fault tolerance of the CORBA based real time systems by viewpoints. Among them, this paper provides a method to enable seamless services where the systems based on the CORBA have object's faults originated processing real time information. Namely, this paper observes a method to deal efficiently with object's faults happening in 3 tier architecture environments. It is possible to replicate objects as a way to enhance the fault tolerance considering object's faults. Along with it, this paper shows a method to enhance the fault tolerance ultimately and then keep the service continuity by prividing a way to allow to continue to run the systems until the FT-CORBA based one's faults are recovered.

  • In order to overcome disadvantages of existing centralized network management systems that use simple objects, dynamic object platforms are proposed as alternative systems. So the distributed network management systems are implemented using various distributed platform such as CORBA and Java-RMI. Subsequently mobile agent-based platforms are proposed. The mobile agent-based platform can additionally provide flexibility and scalability to network management system that CORBA or Java-RMI based platforms do not support. In this paper, we address an architecture to solve the problem of the occurrence of additional traffic by using mobile agent and to save resources of network element. Our proposal in this paper is an efficient network management architecture using motile agents. And we make use of mobile agents for minimizing of traffic that can happen when mobile agents moves. Also we design agents using information architecture of TMN for efficient resource management of network element and improvement of operation performance.

  • For the efficient method for acquisition of informations suitable to user's preferences and objectives in distributed environment, various researches on push agent which automatically processes its roles and sends the results to users are continued. The existing push agent models have induced increasing network overheads and traffics by continuous transmission of informations in the network environment of limitative bandwidth. In this paper, for the solution of the problems on these existing push agent systems and their interoperability, we design a push agent model based on CORBA event service. The proposed model solves the above problems and provides the retrieved results which are more suitable for user's requirement more fast and stably through the optimal path searching and controling method. And, it also supports the filtering technique for processing the duplicated or useless data that comes from the various distributed information systems.

  • Todays enterprise networks are composed of multiple types of interconnected networks.Enterprise Networks interoperability between these technologies is needed. To enable interworking, it is necessary to be able to map between the relevant object models and to build on this to provide a mechanism to handle protocol conversion on the domain boundaries.In this paper, we describe a gateway between management application in the CORBA domain and agent in the SNMP domain and various integration methods. The main function of the gateway is to dynamically convert the method invocations on object reference in CORBA domain to SNMP messages for MIB entries at remote agents, We also present translation methods from SNMP MIB to CORBA IDL using Direct translation and Abstract translation. JIDM algorithm has no notion of containment and inheritance relationships between object classes and is difficult to understanding between management attribute and SNMP Action attribute. Abstract translation over come these problems.New superclasses define for common attributes and define explicit CORBA method for SNMP Action.It is a methodology for obtaining the CORBA-compliant management agents from already existing SNMP agents.
