In designing cultural product, end user experiences, feelings and satisfaction with form are one of the most important factors. However, the design processes of cultural product typically depend on traditional methods or intuitive, designer driven methods for generating and evaluating form concepts. We applied sensibility evaluation, analysis method and contemporary digital vehicle design process to cultural product. This paper describes the implementation process of internet based design support system that helps assess user's sensibilities of forms created in each stages of design process. The form focused sensibility evaluation approach provides designers with fast and various feedbacks about their design in each stage. Practical application for exterior design of tourist cart of slowcity(ciitaslow) Shinan was illustrated.
How does the youth feel the sea affairs\ulcorner Concerning this question, this paper aims to measure the images of the youth toward the sea affairs - the sea, the ship and the seafarer and to examined the above subject. As sample 3, 250 students of middle and high school were selected by considering geographical environment. The data obtained using Semantic Differential Method were analyzed by principal component analysis, and the obtained factor scores were examined the significance of difference between sex, age and geographical environment. By introducing the principal component analysis, the authors extracted from each of the images, that is, factors of dynamics and affection to the image on these a and the former the factors and pleasure on the ship, and also the former two factors and factor of professional evaluation on the seafarer, The following results are obtained. 1) In the image of the sea, dynamic image of the student in high school were higher than the of the student in middle school in spite of geographic environment and affective image were opposite. 2) In the images of the ship, affective image of the student in middle school and high school in inland were high than the of the male and female student in near the sea. And also, male female students in middle school and male student s in high school of inland showed the highest score to the pleasure image. 3) In the image of the seafare, professional evaluation of the female student in middle school were higher than the others, but the students in high school showed the highest score to dynamic image. Especially, in the case of the majority of students in high school living in the city or town near the, their images of the seafarer were not so good in spite of their explorative experiences about the sea affairs.
Objectives : The aim of this study was to identify the effect of Medical humanities curriculum on students of Korean medical school in terms of cognitive, affective, and psychomotor level of humanities skill. Methods : The course was taught to second- and third-year Korean medicine students. The classes were held eight times a semester for second-year students and 9 times for third-year students, and each class was held once a week for 2 hours. Formative and summative assessments, group and individual assignments, and peer assessments were conducted to evaluate educational effectiveness, as well as basic lecture evaluations and satisfaction surveys. Results : Most of the students who took Medical humanities showed a performance rate of more than 60-70% in the cognitive aspect, and the total score was 14.48 with a standard deviation of 2.70 in the knowledge application stage. In terms of class satisfaction, students in Medical humanities I were more satisfied with the evaluation criteria and class management expertise, while students in Medical humanities II were most satisfied with the class organization, with an average score of 4.86/5. Conclusions : It was confirmed that students' humanities improved in cognitive, affective, and psychological aspects after medical humanities courses, and future research should be conducted on the long-term educational effects of medical humanities, effective teaching methods, and evaluation methods.
The purpose of this study supply data that can make a living room a more comfortable space by using a plan of furniture usage, that is to say more affective to human's mental and physical character. For this purpose made experiment with slide film on 39 representative descriptions. The object of this research was female university students and to analyze the data. factor analysis. One-way ANOVA and scheffe-test were used by running SPSS PC+ program. The major results are as follows. In experiment with slide film for grasping spatial effect and evaluation on the 39 representative descriptions, three dimensions(clearness. openness. variety) extracted as the result of factor analysis. Especially the result of this study - sizes of space put independent valuables and each demotion put dependent valuables - shows differences according to space’ size.
Students experience various affects in solving mathematical problem and learning mathematics. Focusing on meta-affect in affective domain, we explored the types of meta-affect. Our research provides illustrative examples and analysis of meta-affect during solving problem. As a result, meta-affect has four types i.e. monitoring of affect, evaluation of emotion, control of emotion, and utilization of affect. And meta-affect is a main key to decide how to handle affect and influence student's cognitive strategies and affect.
An approach to quantitative evaluation of product usability during the design and implementation phases of the product life cycle is presented. The evaluation starts by defining a set of usability characteristics, viz. physical, cognitive and affective characteristic. Each of these characteristics is assessed by a set of usability criteria, such as functionality, visual clarity, learmability, etc. The usability criterion is then evaluated by a checklist consisting of a detailed questionnaire. The fuzzy weighted-checklist method with linguistic variables is used for quantitative analysis. Also, the method for quantifying usability improve- ments in iterative design processes is considered. This analysis procides a quantit- ative measure, which reflects the degree of excellence of product usability during the design and development phases.
In this study, the reliability and validity of the retrospective pre-post test were analyzed in order to solve the problem of traditional pre-post test including response shift bias. Samples of the study were 162 elementary school students who are studying at the S university gifted education center in Seoul. Before completion of the field trip, we conducted pre test of science-related attitudes. After completion of the field trip, respondents were asked to compare their responses of pre and post science-related attitudes to quantitatively analyze the commonalities and differences of the two tests. To find out more characteristics, qualitative data such as daily records and interview were also gathered and analyzed. The major results of the study are as follows. First, for the paired t-test, there was no statistically significant difference between separate pre-test scores and retrospective pre-test. There was a very high correlation between the separate pre-test scores and the retrospective pre-test. Second, there were significant differences in all seven sub-factors of science-related attitudes between the retrospective pre-test and the post-test. Third, the separate pre-test scores showed a slightly higher tendency than the retrospective pre-test scores. This suggests that the response shift bias appears when it is performed the separate pre-test in affective domain. As a result of the interview, it was found that the evaluation standards of separate pre-test did not match with those of post-test. Forth, internal consistency reliability of the retrospective pre-test was higher than that of the separate pre-test. However, there were significant differences in six factors of science-related attitudes excluding the 'social implications of science' between the separate pre-test and the post-test. Based on these results, the retrospective pre-post test design provides simplicity and convenience to both respondents and investigators, as it is done with one test. The retrospective pre-post test design can be regarded as a valid design for the self-report measurement of affective domain on a single experimental group.

The aim of this study is to deduce color temperature and illuminance by conducting the preference & affective evaluation consequent on illuminance change of ambient light in case of the lighting method of ambient light mixed with task light in time of reading which is visual work action among the action in learning space. As a result of the prior survey on preferred lighting method in time of the act of reading targeting 20 experts before doing evaluation, the method of lighting mixed with ambient light and task light was found to be the highest. Such a result is analyzed to be attributable to the fact that the less the difference in illuminance of nearby space and work surface because of the mixed method of lighting, the less the glare, which makes a reader feels easy and concentrate on reading. On the basis of descriptive statistics of evaluation results and impact analysis by category, this study recommends the application of combinations of ambient light illuminance ranging from 40lx to 100lx with color temperature of 5500~6000K in case of the method of lighting mixed with general light and task light.
Purpose - There have been numerous studies investigating the effects of corporate social responsibility initiatives on corporate associations or corporate images. In line of this research stream, current research examined the potential impact of customer participation in the process of corporate social responsibility initiatives on attitude toward the company. This research differentiates from previous studies that it is the first to connect corporate social responsibility and customer participation. Specifically, we suggest a structural model on corporate associations which was classified into corporate ability associations and corporate social responsibility associations that the more the customers participate in initiating corporate social responsibility, corporate associations were formed more positively. And this leads to the increase of revisit intentions through customer satisfaction. Research design, data, and methodology - To test our research model, we collected data of real consumers of a large discount store in Korea. At the large discount store, customers were given an opportunity to participate the discount store's CSR activity program. We performed field survey and collected data of 146 respondents. We analyzed the data using PASW statistics 21.0 and AMOS 16.0 in order to test our structural model. Results - The results showed that consumers who participated more in initiating corporate social responsibility revealed higher score for corporate ability associations and corporate social responsibility associations. These corporate associations had a positive effect on customer satisfaction, which leads to higher attitude toward revisit intentions. Specifically, hypothesis 1.1 "As Customer participation in CSR process increases, the evaluation of CA associations will be positive,"was supported. Hypothesis 1.2 "As Customer participation in CSR process increases, the evaluation of CSR associations will be positive," was supported. Hypothesis 2.1 "As the evaluation of CA associations is positive, satisfaction with the firm will increase," was supported. Hypothesis 2.1 "As the evaluation of CSR associations is positive, satisfaction with the firm will increase," was supported. Hypothesis 3 "As satisfaction with the firm increases, revisit intentions with the firm will increase," was supported. Conclusions - This research is the first to study the relationship between customer participation in CSR process, CSR, and consumer reactions. This research also contributes to customer participation and corporate social responsibility literature by suggesting customer participation as an antecedent and empirically demonstrating the positive relationships between the constructs. The findings of this research may offer managerial implications for marketing practitioners. When performing corporate social initiatives, it is better to let the customer participate in the process which leads to higher corporate ability associations and corporate social responsibility associations, also higher satisfaction and revisit intentions. Our results provide useful information to practioners that spontaneous participation of consumers makes CSR initiatives effective and successful. Limitations and ideas for further research remain in this research. For example, our focus on the logic was cognitive evaluations(e.g. corporate associations) but affective dimensions might be considered since recent researches are investigating the relationship between customer participation and affective reaction as a response. Despite the limitations, this research have unique and applicable implications for academics and practitioners.
This study defines the substance and multi-dimension of emotional reactions which Koreans have toward foreigners to find the starting point of change in values which is an inevitable task in this multi-cultural society. The results indicate that the Bogardus scale which has been used to measure the social distance toward the minority race is found to have limitations in explaining the closed attitude of Koreans toward 'nation' and 'kinship through marriage'. To supplement such limitations, exploration on attitudes toward foreigners from different native places is performed based on the 'evaluation', 'power' and 'activity' dimensions of the Affective Control Theory. As a result, Americans are highly evaluated in all three dimensions while Japanese are evaluated low in the 'evaluation' dimension and high in the 'power' and 'activity' dimensions. North Korean defectors and ethnic Koreans from China (the Chosun race) are high in evaluation but low in other dimensions. West Asians are evaluated low in all three dimensions. By comprehending the influencing factors and the relative influence of social distance, it proves that the 'evaluation' dimension is the common denominator in all groups while 'power' dimension toward Japanese and 'activity' dimensions toward Chinese and West Asians influence social distance. All foreigners excluding Americans receive closer social distance when having higher education level. Moreover, American women and older North Korean defectors receive closer social distance.
