The purpose of this study is to develop basic data for the design of the housing space for unit that factors in the sentiment of the residents by using aesthetic elements and expression method to search for the ways to design housing space for differentiated unit. The results are as follows: First, aesthetic elements in the aesthetic element in the unit housing space for unit can be classified into basic elements and detailed elements. Second, it is possible to classify into distortion, mixing, superposition and juxtaposition methods. Third, use of the 'material' for 'wall' is recommended when designing differentiated housing space by using basic elements. At this time, expression using the method of 'mixing' is effective for inducing differentiation. In particular, elements that can perceive the difference in time are mixed, to add on slight differentiation. Fourth, 'illumination' and 'material' are used when designing differentiated housing space by using detailed elements. Fifth, preference degree of the expression method is manifested differently depending on the selected elements. Lastly, this study conducted a study on the preference level of the aesthetic elements and expression method targeting the experts alone to differentiate the design of the residential space for unit.

Acquired defects involving exposed bone on the forehead is challenging to reconstruct. Skin expansion provides an ideal thin flap for forehead aesthetic unit, but it takes long time and high cost, and many patients are dissatisfied at their figures. Free flap can provide enough tissue immediately, but it takes long time and has the risk of mismatches of color and texture. This report details our experiences with two patients who had soft tissue defect on their forehead that was covered with remnant forehead flap unit. This method uses one-unit-forehead island flap based on supratrochlear and supraorbital vessel. We obtained satisfactory results in terms of aesthetic and functional consideration.

Purpose: Soft tissue deformity and skin defect after tumor resection in the periorbital area can cause trouble in the function of eyelid as well as in the aspect of external appearance. Therefore, as cosidering reconstruction in periorbital area, detailed assessment of both functional and aesthetic property are required. thus, the purpose of this study is to examine an appropriate reconstruction through clinical cases. Methods: A 14-year-old girl with congenital giant hairy nevus on right periorbital area was selected. Her first visit to our plastic surgery outpatient clinic was on July 2006. Since then, she has undergone staged removal of lesions and reconstruction by various flap technique such as pedicled island flap, forehead galeal flap, paramedian forehead flap, cheek rotation & advancement flap. Results: In the case of this girl, most lesions were removed and replaced by normal skins. Although there was the difference of skin color after skin graft, such difference was not noticeable and section scar by skin flaps was slight. There was no obvious dysfunction in the eyelids and the girl and her parents were satisfied with results after the surgery. Conclusions: In the reconstruction of soft tissue defect or soft tissue deformity and contracture, it is required to choose appropriate reconstruction method, considering aesthetic and functional aspects depending on aesthetic unit sufficiently.

Clavicle fractures are frequent injuries accounting for approximately 4% of all fractures in adults with about 35% occurring in the shoulder region among which midshaft fractures are the most common (>66%). Nonsurgical management is the treatment of choice for most clavicle fractures; however, poor functional and aesthetic outcomes may result from nonunion, symptomatic malunion, and aesthetic impairment which are the most common complications. A young woman was referred to our clinic for a "Step Deformity" resulting after primary, nonsurgical treatment of a midshaft clavicle fracture. Residual deformity was corrected with a novel simple and little invasive approach. Midshaft clavicle fractures typically only require conservative nonsurgical treatment, nevertheless suboptimal outcomes may occur. Selective osteotomies and fixation are deemed too invasive when only cosmetic impairment of the clavicle contour is present without any functional or sensitive damage and most patients are discouraged from undergoing surgery. Thus far, no specific focus on this topic, nor exploration of possible correction can be found in the published literature. These residual deformities may be very noticeable sometimes and cause psychological distress and social life impairment. Despite no related functional impairment, this deformity should still be addressed, to improve patients' quality of life.

철학과 사상, 서사와 효과, 문화와 예술 영역으로 양분되어 논의되었던 포스트모더니즘의 담론은 디지털 테크놀로지의 발전으로 인하여 그 영역이 모호해졌다. 디지털 테크놀로지의 발전은 문화예술전반에 걸쳐 매체예술을 비롯하여 미학적 접근에 대하여도 변화를 가져왔다. 리얼리즘을 중심으로 디지털 이미지에 대한 해석은 기존의 이미지의 재현논리의 중심에서 디지털 기술이 만들어내는 이미지에 대한 특징 분석 및 해석과 함께 디지털 이미지들을 어떻게 수용해야하는가의 문제로 변화하고 있다. 하이퍼 리얼리티를 강조하는 디지털 이미지는 기존의 영화의 미학적 접근방식이 아닌 쇼트 단위로의 접근이 이루어져야 한다. 디지털 이미지는 프레임 단위 안에서 이미지의 현실 재현성을 강조하고 있으므로 기존의 총체적인 내러티브상의 영화 이미지의 미학적 특성에 대한 접근과는 다르게 이루어져야한다. CGI가 만들어내는 디지털 이미지는 프레임단위에서 재현되는 핍진성의 척도와 시뮬레이션, 극사실주의 개념으로써 해석이 이루어져야 하며 특히 환영성이 강조되는 영화에서는 내러티브상의 사실주의적 접근보다는 회화적 차원에서의 현실 재현적 차원으로의 미학적 접근이 이루어져야 한다.

The purpose of this study is examining a circulation and conflict of concepts and logics of the $Chos{\check{o}}n$-ness by analysing the $Chos{\check{o}}n$ national character and $Chos{\check{o}}n$ aesthetic consciousness. As entering the modern period, we understood the nations as a unit of the artistic awareness. So, national art is defined as a national character expression from this period. The $Chos{\check{o}}n$ aesthetic consciousness by raising in this period, which is connected with the discourse of national character, carry out a discussional practice defining the Korean originality. However, there is a circulation and conflict of concepts and logics about the $Chos{\check{o}}n$ aesthetic consciousness in the process of a discussion. For the most representative examples are 'the white-clad folk' and 'the beauty of sorrow'. An Hwak and Yanagi Muneyoshi are representative debaters who try to establish the $Chos{\check{o}}n$-ness and their discussion supports these facts. As An Hwak regressing of the respect for high antiquity, he demolished the historical character from the $Chos{\check{o}}n$-ness and overlooked aesthetic differences by a periodical change. Yanagi Muneyoshi totally separates arts from politics and disposes of Korean arts in an abstract timeless-space. The function of such an early-modern period's discourse about $Chos{\check{o}}n$ aesthetic consciousness is that $Chos{\check{o}}n$ national character makes the dehistoricization and depoliticization.

This study is to propose the minimalism, which swept the modern society of the 20th century, in fashion illustration with an asymmetric composition adding the globalized oriental taste in the 21th century. To do this, this study reviews various literatures and real materials reflecting the minimalism in art, architecture and fashion, defines aesthetic characteristics of the minimalism in each area, then based on the results, creates a basic unit of a fashion illustration and finally bring 6 works of the unit together to an integral fashion illustration while adding several oriental features.
