  • The purpose of this study is to examine the influence of encouragement-centered class management on elementary students' adaptation to school life and self-encouragement. The various encouragement-centered class management tactics were developed which were based on Adler's Individual psychology theory. Subjects were two classes which were 5th grade at A elementary school in Gwangju. One class was experiment group(n=28) and the other class was control group(n=31). Data were collected through the school adaptation scale(kang, 2008) and self-encouragement scale(Gi and Hong, 2008). The collected data were analysed using ANCOVA. The results of this study were following; First, school adaptation score had improved significantly in experimental group than the control group. Second, self-encouragement score had improved significantly in experimental group than the control group.

  • The low-lying resolved resonance structure of U-233 is investigated in terms of the Adler-Adler multilevel formalism. The resonance capture and fission cross sections of U-233 below 60 eV are calculated using Adlers' effective resonance parameters. The infinite dilution resonance integrals of U-233 are computed with the use of the Alders' parameters adjusted to fit the cross section data. It is found that the agreement of calculations with experiments is generally good over most of the energy region covered. A transformation of the Adlers' multilevel parameters into an equivalent set of the single level pseudoparameters is made for the use of the existing computer codes which are useful in the reactor calculations but do not have capability to use the multilevel parameters. The results of this transformation are presented in the form of a table.

  • In this paper, through a questionnaire to currently active actors, we sought to understand their understanding of American acting methods and whether there are any particularly effective or ineffective acting training methods among various method related to this. For this, pre-questionnaire was conducted to ask about their understanding of American action methods, and post-questionnaire was conducted to find effectiveness of American acting method and effect of individual method after performing simple acting training with four representative theories of American action methods According to the analysis, the actors surveyed were not familiar with the American acting method and want to systematic methods in acting training. All of the acting training through the American acting method were effective, especially Stella Adler's imagination was the most effective method. The least effective method was Sanford Meisner's repetition. The results of this study can be used as fundamental data for introduction and utilization of American acting method in domestic acting training.

  • Gibberella fujikuroi is species complex. This species complex includes Fusarium tabacinum, F. moniliforme(=F. verticillioides), F. nygamai, F. proliferatum as well as F. subglutinans. Our objective was to develop a technique to differentiate between isolates of F. subglutinans, F. proliferatum and F. verticillioides. Thirty-two strains of F. subglutinans, six strains from F. verticillioides and five strains of F. Proliferatum isolated from maize in Austria were studied using random amplified polymorphic DNA(RAPD). F. subglutinans strains clustered very closely, with similarity ranging from $87{\sim}100%$. On the other hand, all the amplification patterns of F. verticillioides were identical, as well as in the case of F. proliferatum. Our results indicated that these Fusaria species are distinct species and hence RAPD markers can be quick and reliable for differentiating them.

  • A famous result of Chow and Robbins [8] asserts that if ${X_n, n \geq 1}$ are independent and identically distributed (i.i.d.) random variables with $E$\mid$X_1$\mid$ = \infty$, then for each sequence of constants ${M_n, n \geq 1}$ either $$ (1) lim inf_{n\to\infty} $\mid$\frac{M_n}{\sum_{j=1}^{n}X_j}$\mid$ = 0 almost certainly (a.c.) $$ or $$ (2) lim sup_{n\to\infty}$\mid$\frac{M_n}{\sum_{j=1}^{n}X_j}$\mid$ = \infty a.c. $$ and thus $P{lim_{n\to\infty} \sum_{j=1}^{n}X_j/M_n = 1} = 0$. Note that both (1) and (2) may indeed prevail.

  • The worldwide spread of the COVID-19 pandemic has had a severe impact on the global economy. The COVID-19 pandemic has spread with alarming speed and. The economic damage is already evident and represents the largest economic shock the world has experienced in decades. This study analyzes the factors that influence behavior and its impact on start-up performance, through technology capabilities, technology development, organizational structure characteristics, and leadership technology. The mixed-method was used in this research to be applied to start-up companies in Jabodetabek with a population of 522 start-ups. Then the sample was selected through purposive sampling technique to obtain a sample of 187 start-ups. Primary data was collected through a questionnaire, then statistical analysis was carried out using Partial Least Square. There are ten variables used in the model as measured by the questionnaire. The results showed that the four factors (agility, entrepreneurship capability, business transformation, and opportunity) significantly influence start-up behavior. The results showed that the start-up behavior significantly influenced technology capabilities, technology development, organizational structure characteristics, and leadership technology. This study also found that start-up behavior had the greatest influence on organizational structure characteristics, partially affect start-up performance, but leadership technology does not have a significant effect on start-up performance.

  • Alternative forms of travel have recently been delivering rewarding experiences and promising sustainable development for the tourism sector. However, it also depends on the uncertainties, consequences, and emotional connection with the destination. So far, the scholars have done limited empirical studies on volunteer tourism in Bali. Thus, this study tries to measure volunteer tourists' behavior by understanding the relationship between destination attachment, risk perception, and voluntourism behavior. Therefore, a study on the inclusivity of tourists' attachment to a particular place and perceived risks in volunteer tourism is an essential need to sustain the tourism industry. Data was analyzed using Partial Least Squares with smartPLS software. This study is based on a sample of ninety-three tourists of generation Z in Bali, Indonesia. Both outer model and inner model evaluation were conducted to ensure the robustness of the proposed model. The findings showed that destination attachment does have a direct and significant effect on voluntourism behavior. As expected, we also find that perceived risk has a significant moderating role on the relationship. Hence, greater efforts are needed to improve the image of the place by highlighting the characteristics of the locations. At the same time, it is necessary to put considerable effort to alleviate unfavorable conditions by creating safe environment surrounding the destination.

  • This paper examines William and Ellen Craft's Running a Thousand Miles for Freedom (1860)-a narrative of the enslaved couple's escape from Macon to Philadelphia in the guise of a white male master and a colored slave. Expanding Judith Adler's notion of "travel as performed art," my reading of Running focuses on the Crafts' stratagems of transvestism-crossing boundaries not only of gender, but also of race, class, and disability. If travel can be understood as a form of performed art, then why not address a traveler as a performance artist? I present William and Ellen's role-playing in Running as performers of crossing borders and categories, or, as "fugitive performers," since the couple's story never reaches its final arrival but narrates an eternal run-away, far more than "a thousand miles to freedom." Using social stereotypes of race and gender to disguise, William and Ellen plot, write, choreograph, play, and recite on the moving stages and manipulate the others-especially white American audiences-who accompany the couple's run-away and those who were responsible for the cultural drama-a tragedy of American slavery. Becoming "fugitive performers," William and Ellen de-essentialize and debunk the nineteenth-century America's firm belief in distinct color line between black and white, and in the high yet unstable bars between male / female, abled / disabled, master / slave, and freedom / slavery. The Crafts alert their contemporaries and readers by presenting the complex and permeable boundaries of race, gender, class, social and cultural ability.
