CF4/CI2/Ar유도 결합 플라즈마에 의한 gold 박막의 식각특성 (Etching Characteristics of Gold Thin Films using Inductively Coupled CF4/CI2/Ar Plasma)

  • The etching of Au thin films have been performed in an inductively coupled CF$_4$/Cl$_2$/Ar plasma. The etch rates were measured as CF$_4$ contents added from 0 to 30 % to Cl$_2$/Ar plasma, of which gas mixing ratio was fixed at 20%. Other parameters were fixed at an rf power of 700 W, a dc bias voltage of 150 V, a chamber pressure of 15 mTorr, and a substrate temperature of 3$0^{\circ}C$. The highest etch rate of the Au thin film was 3700 $\AA$m/min at a 10% additive CF$_4$ into Cl$_2$/Ar plasma. The surface reaction of the etched Au thin films was investigated using x-ray photoelectron spectroscopy (XPS) analysis. XPS analysis indicated that Au reacted with Cl and formed Au-Cl, which is hard to remove on the surface because of its high melting point. The etching products could be sputtered by Ar ion bombardment.

  • YBCO bulks with fine $Y_2BaCuO_5$(Y211) particles have been prepared by the top-seed modified powder melting process method, Solid-Liquid Melt Growth(SLMG), with $Y_2O_3$, $BaCuO_2$ and CuO mixing precursor. By using $Y_2O_3$ instead of $Y_2BaCuO_5$ as precursor, the processing became to be simpler and cheaper than the current powder melting process. The microstructures, trapped field and critical current density of the various conditioned YBCO bulks have been analyzed and the effect of Pt additive was studied. The different trapped magnetic field values of the several samples have been explained in the viewpoint of their microstructures. The fabrication of large-sized YBCO single domain has been conducted.

혼화재 사용에 따른 고강도 콘크리트의 수축에 관한 실험적 연구 (An Experimental Study on Shrinkage of High Strength Concrete with Mineral Admixture)

  • The effects of additive and shrinkage reducing agent on the drying and autogenous shrinkage of high strength concrete are investigated in this study. As results, when the ratio of W/B(low water to binder ratio) increase, the compressive strength is decreased. Comparing with PC(portland cement) concrete, the strength is 2.8%, 3.2% and 3.8% lower respectively than that of PC when concrete mixing ratio is 0.2%, 0.3% and 0.4% in 28 days curing. Drying shrinkage strain of PC concrete showed $-650{\times}10^{-6}$ in 91 days curing. When SR(shrinkage reducing agent) of 0.2%, 0.3% and 0.4% is mixed, the drying shrinkage strains are 21%, 34% and 41% lower than those of PC in 91 days curing. Autogenous shrinkage strain of PC concrete appeared $-480{\times}10^{-6}$ in 56 days curing. When SR of 0.2%, 0.3% and 0.4% is mixed, the autogenous drying shrinkage strain are 12.5%, 19.8% and 33.3% lower than those of PC in 56 days curing. In cases of using the mineral and shrinkage agent or only using a shrinkage reducing agent also appeared same reducing effects for drying shrinkage and autogenous shrinkage.

  • 한국형발사체용 연소기 성능 고도화를 위한 핵심기술을 검증하기 위해 고압 축소형 연소기를 개발하였다. 성능 고도화를 위한 핵심기술은 고압 연소기용 분사기 설계, 적층제조기법을 적용한 연소안정화 장치 개발, 고압 축소형 연소기 헤드 및 재생냉각 연소실 설계/제작 등이다. 고압 축소형 연소기 개발을 통해 핵심기술을 검증하였고, 이 기술들은 향후 대형 액체로켓엔진 연소기 개발에 활용될 예정이다.

A Study on Spirunia as a Protein Alternative for Aging Society

  • Spirulina is known to be more useful abroad than in Korea because it contains more protein than Chlorella, the same microalgae. In the past, sources of animal protein were diverse, but since it takes a long time to receive protein along with environmental pollution, we thought that spirulina could attract attention as a new protein source. In this study, application cases were analyzed in foods in the fields of acorn cake, tofu, dumpling skin, fish cake, white bread, pound cake, salad dressing, and yogurt and so on. As a result of centrally analyzing antioxidant and sensory evaluation, it was confirmed that the results were effective enough to develop products in tofu, dumpling skin, fish cake, and pound cake. It is thought that development of food in other fields will be possible if an additive amount that can match the consumer's preference is found by supplementing the mixing ratio. If it is used as a main raw material for existing food rather than as a raw material for health functional food, consumer preference can increase and quality can be further improved, and it can be suggested as a good alternative for an aging society.

Synergistic Antifungal Activity of Phellodendri Cortex and Magnoliae Cortex against Candida albicans

  • Many studies on plant extracts have been reported for the treatment of candidiasis caused by Candida albicans, a representative fungal infection. This study demonstrates the synergistic antifungal activity of the combination of Phellodendri Cortex and Magnoliae Cortex, previously reported to have antifungal efficacy. Considering the antifungal efficacy and the separation of the active constituents, berberine and magnolol, hot water extraction and carbon dioxide supercritical extraction were selected for Phellodendri Cortex and Magnoliae Cortex, respectively. A combination of 0.55 g/L hot water extract of Phellodendri Cortex and 0.59 g/L carbon dioxide supercritical extract of Magnoliae Cortex showed synergistic antifungal activity. The synergistic antifungal activity of 160 μM berberine and 100 μM magnolol, which are representative antifungal compounds of Phellodendri Cortex and Magnoliae Cortex, respectively, contributes to the synergistic antifungal effect of their extracts. The additive decrease in cellular ergosterol level and the increased antifungal efficacy by extracellular ergosterol suggest that disruption of the biological function of ergosterol in the cell membrane is not responsible for the synergistic antifungal activity of berberine and magnolol. Synergistic cellular release of chromosomal DNA upon mixing berberine and magnolol indicates that disruption of the cellular structure is responsible for the synergistic antifungal effect of berberine and magnolol.

레이저 빔 직경 변화에 따른 17-4 PH 스테인리스 강 DED 적층 조형체의 미세조직 및 경도 변화 (Effect of Laser Beam Diameter on the Microstructure and Hardness of 17-4 PH Stainless Steel Additively Manufactured by Direct Energy Deposition)

  • The effect of the laser beam diameter on the microstructure and hardness of 17-4 PH stainless steel manufactured via the directed energy deposition process is investigated. The pore size and area fraction are much lower using a laser beam diameter of 1.0 mm compared with those observed using a laser beam diameter of 1.8 mm. Additionally, using a relatively larger beam diameter results in pores in the form of incomplete melting. Martensite and retained austenite are observed under both conditions. A smaller width of the weld track and overlapping area are observed in the sample fabricated with a 1.0 mm beam diameter. This difference appears to be mainly caused by the energy density based on the variation in the beam diameter. The sample prepared with a beam diameter of 1.0 mm had a higher hardness near the substrate than that prepared with a 1.8 mm beam diameter, which may be influenced by the degree of melt mixing between the 17-4 PH metal powder and carbon steel substrate.

손바닥선인장 열매 발효액 첨가사료가 참돔의 성장에 미치는 영향 (Effects of the Dietary Supplementation of Fermented Cactus Fruit (Opuntia ficus-indica) Fluid on the Growth of Red Sea Bream, Pagrus major)

  • Two feeding experiments were conducted to investigate the effects of fermented cactus fruit (Opuntia ficusindica) fluid (FCFF) as a feed additive to a commercial diet on the growth of red sea bream, Pagrus major, and to determine an effective dose. FCFF was prepared by mixing crushed cactus fruit with a starch solution and commercially available microorganisms for 2 weeks at room temperature. Three triplicate groups of red sea bream had initial mean weights of 84.1 g (Exp-1) and 5.1 g (Exp-2) and were fed experimental diets containing 0%, 1%, and 5% FCFF for 2 months (Exp-1) and 0%, 0.2%, 0.5%, and 1% FCFF for 3 months (Exp-2), respectively. In experiment 1, the mean body weight of fish fed the diet containing 1% FCFF was significantly higher (P<0.05) than that of fish fed the diet without FCFF. The survival rate was highest in fish fed the diet containing 1% FCFF, although the difference was not statistically significant. The feed gain ratio (FGR), specific growth rate (SGR), and condition factor (CF) values of fish fed the diet containing 1% FCFF were higher than those of fish in the other dietary groups that received lower levels of FCFF. The daily feeding rate (DFR) of fish fed the diet containing 1% FCFF was slightly lower but not statistically different than the DFR values of fish in the other dietary groups. In experiment 2, the final mean body weight of fish fed the diet containing 1% FCFF was significantly (P<0.05) higher than the mean weight of fish in the control group. The FGR, SGR, and CF values of fish fed the diet containing 1% FCFF were better than the values from fish in the other dietary groups that received lower levels of FCFF, although the differences were not statistically significant. However, the DFR of fish fed the diet containing 1% FCFF was lower than those of fish in the other groups. These results suggest that FCFF could be used as a feed additive in commercial fish food and a preferable level of supplementation is at least 1.0% in fingerling and young red sea bream.

레토르트 굴죽 제조를 위한 원료의 가공적성 (Characterization of Materials for Retort Processing in Oyster Porridge)

  • 레토르트 굴죽 개발을 위하여 원료의 조성 및 가공방법이 죽의 물성 및 기호도에 미치는 영향에 대하여 연구하였다. 쌀의 투입량은 10~12% 정도로 유지할 때 죽의 점도가 약 800 cp를 유지하여 적당했는데 쌀알의 안정성을 높이고 안정된 질감을 확보하기 위하여 사용한 쌀의 1/2을 마쇄하여 사용하는 것이 점도 향상 및 기호도에 유리하였다. 전분 원료 중 감자전분, 찰옥수수전분 및 Perfectamyl AC전분은 호화온도에 상관없이 거의 일정한 점도를 유지하여 작업시 온도 편차에 따른 품질 변화를 유발하지 않기 때문에 좋은 조건을 지니고 있어 레토펀트 죽의 제조에 좋은 조건을 지니고 있었으며 특히 찰옥수수전분은 살균 후 소비시에는 오히려 점도가 감소하여 일정한 점도를 유지하는 특징이 있어 레토르트 죽에 적합할 것으로 판단되었다. 변성 전분 중 Purity CSC전분은 냉-해동 후 조직 이 호화온도에 따라 묽은 풀과 같은 정도에서 순두부 정도로 나타났으며 호화 온도에 무관하게 수분분리가 적으므로 찰옥수수전분에 약 25% 정도를 혼합하여 사용할 때 좋은 물성을 유지할 수 있었다. 레토르트 굴죽의 원료 분산성을 개선하기 위하여 Kan-than gum을0.2%정도 사용하면 식감에 영향을 미치지 않고 품질 안정성을 유지할 수 있었다. 따라서 레토르트 굴죽의 최적 조성을 쌀 10%(이중 1/2은 마쇄), 찰옥수수전분 1.5%, Purity CSC 0.3%, xanthan gm, 0.2%, 식염 0.3%, 물 87.5%로 완성하였고 최적 조건 하에서 완성된 레토르트 굴죽을 상온에서 5개월 동안 저장한 후에도 안정된 물성이 확인되어 이들 원료의 가공적성이 레토르트 굴죽에 적합함을 확인하였다.

혼합 계면활성제에 적용된 각종 첨가제가 토양세척 효율에 미치는 영향 (Effects of Additives on Soil Washing Efficiency for Mixed Surfactants)

  • 계면활성제에 의해 형성되는 미셀의 바깥층에 전기적인 영향을 주는 전해질과 미셀의 구조 자체를 변화시키는 유기물질 단량체를 첨가제로 각종 혼합 계면활성제 용액에 적용함으로써 토양세척 효율에 미치는 영향을 검토하였다. 혼합 계면활성제[$POE_5$/SDS] 및 NaCl을 첨가농도를 변화시키면 용액의 표면장력과 CMC 값을 측정하여 세척효율과의 상관 관계를 규명하고, 세척효율이 상승되는 혼합 계면활성제와 NaCl의 최적 혼합조건을 도출하고자 하였다. 실험 결과, 0.01M의 NaCl이 첨가될 때가 NaCl을 넣지 않았을 때보다 $POE_5$의 혼합 농도비가 80%까지 증가됨에 따라 세척효율이 비례적으로 증가하였으며, $POE_5$/SDS(80%/20%) 3%용액 적용시 90%의 높은 세척효율을 나타내었다. 반면 비이온계 계면활성제인 $POE_5$ 단일 성분 수용액에 대한 NaCl의 영향은 극히 미미하였다. SDS 단일 성분 수용액에 대한 CMC값은 0.049% 로 $POE_5$ 단일 성분 수용액에 대한 CMC값인 0.016%보다 높지만, 혼합 게면활성제의 CMC값은 $POE_5$의 혼합 농도비가 증가됨에 따라 감소되는 경향을 나타내었다. 유기물질 단량체인 알코올류는 탄화수소 사슬의 길이가 길수록, 직쇄형보다는 가지형이 토양세척용 첨가제로 적합하였다.
