Direct adaptive control of nonlinear robot dynamics

  • The payload variation and modeling error can lye parameterized in such a way that known nonlinear functions are multiplied linearly by parameter errors. An adaptive control algorithm is derived for a perturbed linear system with such parameterization. Hence, in this approach no linear approximation of robot system is needed for the application of an adaptive law. The stability of the adaptive control algorithm is established and also supported by a computer simulation result.

  • This paper presents the general MRAC algorithm design, it's real time implementation and investigates the effect of purely deterministic disturbances to adaptive control algorithm. The design of adaptive control algorithm to reject the disturbances properly is also presented. In real time application, adaptive control algorithm is considered to investigate its performance by using DC motor. Disturbance rejection algorithm is investigated in simulation.

  • Delivering rich and continuous media contents robustly over a wide range of network conditions of the wired/wireless Internet is a highly challenging task. To address this challenges, the continuous media applications at the edge of network has become more and more adaptive while the best-effort Internet is slowly progressing towards improved networking services. That is, the role of network adaptive media delivery, which dynamically links the quality demand of application contents to the underlying networking services, has become more crucial. In this paper, we will first review the required network adaptation functionalities seen from the application side: congestion control / rate control, error control, and synchronization / adaptive playout. Then, we start the coverage of networking support issues that helps the realization of network adaptive media streaming - from network support and protocol support toward consolidated support via middleware. Finally, we propose a dynamic network adaptation framework that efficiently leverages its awareness of both media application (including contents) and underlying networking support.

  • This paper presents a generalized truncated least, squares adaptive algorithm and a two-stage design method. The proposed algorithm is directly derived from the normal equation of the generalized truncated least squares method (GTLSM). The special case of the GTLSM, the truncated least squares (TLS) adaptive algorithm, has a distinct features which includes the case of minimum steps estimator. This algorithm seemed to be best in the deterministic case. For real applications in the presence of disturbances, the GTLS adaptive algorithm is more effective. The two-stage design method proposed here combines the adaptive control system design with a conventional control design method and each can be treated independently. Using this method, the validity of the presented algorithms are examined by the simulation studies of an indirect adaptive control.

  • We propose a new technique of adaptive-neuro controller design to implement real-time control of robot manipulator, Unlike the well-established theory for the adaptive control of linear systems, there exists relatively little general theory for the adaptive control of nonlinear systems. Adaptive control technique is essential for providing a stable and robust performance for application of robot control. The proposed neuro control algorithm is one of loaming a model based error back-propagation scheme using Lyapunov stability analysis method. Through simulation, the proposed adaptive-neuro control scheme is proved to be a efficient control technique for real time control of robot system using DSPs(TMS320C50)

  • Active control of acoustic noise is an application area of adaptive digital signal processing with increasingly interest along the last year. This work studies the implementation of the multichannel LMS filter and the application of this algorithm for the reduction of the noise inside a vechicle cabin using a number of 'secondary sources' drived by adaptive filtering of a reference noise source. Firstly, we propose the use of an adaptive method for the time-varient optimal convergence factor. Secondly, we propose the use of adaptive delayed inverse model to estimate the elastic-acoustic transfer function presented in vechicle cabin. The original, primary source is often periodic, with a known fundamental frequency. A suitably filtered reference signal can thus be used to drive the secondary sources. An algorithm is presented for adapting the coefficients of an FIR filter feeding such a secondary source in such a way as to minimize the output of a suitably placed microphone. In this algorithm, the coefficients of adaptive filter driving an array of secondary sources can be adapted to minimize the sum of the squares of the outputs of a number of error microphones. The multichannel LMS algorithm displays that such an algorithm is considered suitable to used for the global suppression of noise in vehicle cabin.

  • This paper deals with control system design strategy for electrolmaginetic suspension (E.M.S.) system. For a successful control of E.M.S. system, the nature of E.M.S. system is deeply studied in the view point of non-linear, open-loop unstable, time-varying, non-minimum phase system. To find a special control treatment for E.M.S. system, analyses and simulations for various models are carried out. As one of the successful candidates, adaptive control concept is introduced and sample hardware system using digital signal processor is implemented.

  • This paper compares the effect on transient stability by according to application of adaptive autoreclouse using THD with the one of conventional autoreclosure. These two autoreclousure methods are modeled by EMTP/MODELS and simulated according to various fault locations and fault clearing times. This paper analyzes transient stability using simulation results.

  • 본 논문은 ALAN(Application Level Active Network)상에서 GME(Generic Modeling Environment)라고 불리는 컴포지션 메커니즘을 이용하는 AWCS(Adaptive Web Caching Service)에 관하여 언급하였다. ALAN상의 웹 캐싱의 요구사항은 자치 구성성(self-configuration)과 자치 적응성(self-adaptation)이다 이러한 요구사항을 지원하기 위해서 본 논문에서는 친AN상에서 IN(Intelligent Inetwork)에서 유래된 SCE(Service Creation Environment)와 유사한 서비스 컴포지션 메커니즘인 GME를 이용하여 AWCS 의 설계 및 구현에 관하여 언급하였다

  • In this paper, studied error of various signal interpolation methods in vibration signal analysis with digital order tracking. Because, interpolation errors are related with sampling rate and amount of calculation. Appled Signal interpolation methods are Lagrange, Newton and Cubic-spline. This paper proposed more proper interpolation method. Also, we suggest guideline for adaptive application of signal interpolation methods with Calculated results.
