Objectives: This study was designed to find out factors that are needed to be improved for the Buddhist training environment of Sramanera Sramanerika monks, who have been newly adapted for their life style after becoming a monk, and to provide basic data for the development of the standard diet in Buddhist temples. Methods: A self-administered questionnaire was applied to 365 Sramanera Sramanerika monks at 11 Buddhist monk universities. The questionnaire was designed to investigate their dietary habits, dietary evaluation, satisfaction of food service, and food preferences. Results: The study population consisted of 52.6% men, and 47.4% women. The subjects who had a vegetarian diet before joining the Buddhist priesthood were 27.7% women, and 13.5% men (p<0.01). 42.2% of the total subjects felt that they are healthy now and 19.4% felt weak. The most difficulty of dieting adaptation as soon as entering the priesthood was the strict diet rules (42.9%). The subjects considered health or nutrition (40.0%) highly when having meals. 94.8% women, 84.1% men ate breakfast every day (p<0.001). Women (55.4%) frequently ate snacks more than men (26.6%) (p<0.001). The results of the dietary evaluation indicated that the intake of milk, soy milk or dairy products and beans or tofu received lower than 3 points and women had lower point result than men (p<0.001). Foods with higher preference were grilled mushrooms, grilled laver, miso stew, sweet and sour mushrooms, steamed tofu with seasoning. Conclusions: Women were more interested in their health than men but they also required to improve the nutritional eating habits. It appeared that the lower intake rates of the calcium containing food (milk and dairy), and proteins (beans and tofu) could result in nutritional imbalance. Therefore, it is necessary to offer food based on the standard menu plan with consideration given to their food preferences in order to maintain their health and desirable dietary habits.

If the atmospheric concentrations of greenhouse gases double, the annual temperature increase in mean surface temperature relative to 1990 will be about 2.0 to $2.5^{\circ}C$ and the annual precipitation increase about $15{\%}$ by 2100 in Korea. When the temperature rises $2^{\circ}C$, the annual temperature will be $13^{\circ}C,\;15^{\circ}C,\;and\;16^{\circ}C$ in Western Central, Yeongnam Basin, and Southern Coastal respectively. Consequently the crop period could be prolonged $10{\~}29$ days. In the case of gradual global warming, annual crops could be adapted to the changed environment by breeding, and the perennial crops should be shifted to ether area. If global warming happens suddenly over the threshold of atmospheric greenhouse gases concentration, then we shall have disturbance of ecosystem. When $2^{\circ}C$ higher than present, the optimum flowering date of rice plant delayed about 10 days, so it may not possible to adopt the fate with present japonica rices, therefore, the recommended characteristics of rice varieties are longer basic vegetative period, more late maturing and higher ripening temperature. Barley and wheat crops could be shifted to northern coastal areas and apple production areas should be shifted to those areas under $13.5^{\circ}C$ in annual mean temperature at global warming. Ideotypes of crops under climate changes should have such ecological characteristics that are indispensable to accomplish the sustainable agriculture under increased $CO_{2}$ and temperature condition as the diversification of genetic resources from yield-oriented to biomass-oriented characteristics with the higher potentials of $CO_{2}$ absorption and Primary production. In addition, a heat-tolerance, a pest resistance, an environmental adaptability and a production stability should be also incorporated collectively into our integrated agroecosystem.

The human voice is a convenient method of information transfer between different objects such as between men, men and machine, between machines. The development of information and communication technology, the voice has been able to transfer farther than before. The way to communicate, it is to convert the voice to another form, transmit it, and then reconvert it back to sound. In such a communication process, a vocoder is a method of converting and re-converting a voice and sound. The CELP (Code-Excited Linear Prediction) type vocoder, one of the voice codecs, is adapted as a standard codec since it provides high quality sound even though its transmission speed is relatively low. The EVRC (Enhanced Variable Rate CODEC) and QCELP (Qualcomm Code-Excited Linear Prediction), variable bit rate vocoders, are used for mobile phones in 3G environment. For the real-time implementation of a vocoder, the reduction of sound quality is a typical problem. To improve the sound quality, that is important to know the size and shape of noise. In the existing sound quality improvement method, the voice activated is detected or used, or statistical methods are used by the large mount of data. However, there is a disadvantage in that no noise can be detected, when there is a continuous signal or when a change in noise is large.This paper focused on finding a better way to decrease the reduction of sound quality in lower bit transmission environments. Based on simulation results, this study proposed a preprocessor application that estimates the SNR (Signal to Noise Ratio) using the spectral SNR estimation method. The SNR estimation method adopted the IMBE (Improved Multi-Band Excitation) instead of using the SNR, which is a continuous speech signal. Finally, this application improves the quality of the vocoder by enhancing sound quality adaptively.

In order to find out the influences upon not only the thermal resistance of human body but also the clothing action and the clothing weight which are caused by the differences in the thermal living conditions by using air conditioner and so on to adapt themselves to the changes of their residential environment according to the changes of seasons we investigated the clothing practices upon the male and female students in Seoul and Korean male and female students in Yanbian who are estimated to have different thermal living conditions in spite that they are same folk as well as living in the same age. 1. The total clothing weight of body surface erea was increased in order of summer autumn spring and winter seasons and by seasons the changes of the clothing weight were found in both areas, In Seoul the changes of upper outwear clothing weight were found on both sexes but in Yanbian the changes of underwear weight were found on both sexes. And the underwear weight of both sexes in Seoul was lighter than that of both sexes in Yanbian. 2. Those in Seoul tended to fell colder in winter and hotter in summer than those in Yanbian on account that the formers are more sensitive of thermal conditions than the latters. 3. Comparing clo-value claculated by the fomula of with the Winshlow's clo-value those in Yanbian had higher thermal resistance than those in Seoul. Consequently those in Seoul adapted thermselves to the seasons by controling the upper outwear weight but those in Yanbian did it with underwear weight, The male and female students in Seoul tended to feel colder in winter and hotter in summer than hose in Yanbian because the thermal sense of the former is more sensitive than that of the latter.
A potential field method for solving the problem of path planning based on global and local information for a mobile robot moving among a set of stationary obstacles is described. The concept of various method used path planning is used design a planning strategy. A real human living area is constructed by many moving and imminence obstacles. Home service mobile robot must avoid many obstacles instantly. A path that safe and attraction towards the goal is chosen. The potential function depends on distance from the goal and heuristic function relies on surrounding environments. Three additional combined methods are proposed to apply to human living area, calibration robots position by measured surrounding environment and adapted home service robots. In this work, we proposed the application of various path planning theory to real area, human living. First, we consider potential field method. Potential field method is attractive method, but that method has great problem called local minimum. So we proposed intermediate point in real area. Intermediate point was set in doorframe and between walls there is connect other room or other area. Intermediate point is very efficiency in computing path. That point is able to smaller area, area divided by intermediate point line. The important idea is intermediate point is permanent point until destruction house or apartment house. Second step is move robot with sensing on front of mobile robot. With sensing, mobile robot recognize obstacle and judge moving obstacle. If mobile robot is reach the intermediate point, robot sensing the surround of point. Mobile robot has data about intermediate point, so mobile robot is able to calibration robots position and direction. Third, we gave uncertainty to robot and obstacles. Because, mobile robot was motion and sensing ability is not enough to control. Robot and obstacle have uncertainty. So, mobile robot planed safe path planning to collision free. Finally, escape local minimum, that has possibility occur robot do not work. Local minimum problem solved by virtual obstacle method. Next is some supposition in real living area.

As the price of traditional fuels soar, the alternatives are becoming more viable. And manufacturers are promoting the growing viability of electric and biofuel-powered vehicles through longer warranties. Now, these longer green environment (emission)warranties, sometimes called extended warranties or "super warranties," have been adapted. The main result of this paper is to present a new method to approximate a bivariate warranty function by using Radial Basis Function Network with application of Radon Transform and its inverse which is used to reduce the dimension of the warranty space. This method consist of the following stages: First, by using the Radon Transform, the bivariate warranty function can be reduced to one dimensional function. Second, each of the one dimensional functions is approximated by using neural network technique into neural sub-networks. Third, these neural sub-networks are combined together to form the final approximation neural network. Four, by using the inverse of radon transform to this final approximation neural network we get the approximation to the given function. Also, we apply the above method to some green warranty data of automotive vehicle company.
The role of Community Health Practitioner(CHP) should be continuously adapted to the social changes and the needs for health care services. That is the reason CHP needs to be retrained through the continuing education program. This paper showed CHP's roles to be reinforced by analyzing his present . task performance and ability in seven task areas as well as the changes of the social environment. In addition, this paper presented retraining areas needed for the reinforcement of the CHP's role in the future, and the development strategy of related continuing education package. The major results are as follows: 1. CHP's main practice area is health care services and management & guidance, whereas the development of health information system is neglected. 2. As a result, CHP plays a role mainly as a health care supplier, a consultant and a health instructor. Therefore CHP's roles to be reinforced are management of the community health system, act as a spokesman and a team member, promotion, assessment, collection & maintenance of information, coordination and research. 3. The areas to be reinforced in CHP's continuing education are (]) aged people's health, (2)?drinking & smoking, (3)?young people's health(including drug and sexualissues), (4) rehabilitation, (5)?administration and management for community health, (6)?partnership & membership, (7) local residents' participation and community development, (8) collection & treatment of health information and (9) environmental issues for community health. 4. The priority in developing continuing education package should be given to the area, which is encountered often in rural area but important, and has a good opportunity to be resolved. The health management of aged people was selected as a top priority by members of the Community Nursing Academic Society. 5. It is recommended that the instruction materials be accommodated to the small scale workshop or seminar in order that CHPs can participate actively in the continuing education program.

This study aims to reveal how EA affects BAX and NF-kB involved in cell deaths from global ischemia, and to do this, observes the changes of BAX and NF-kB caused by EA application after transient global ischemia. The experimental method is to give rise to global ischemia and apply EA to 27 SD rats with the particulars of being six-week-old, male, around-300 gram-weighing, and adapted to laboratory environment for more than a week, and divide them into three groups, that is, GV20 EA group(n=9), L14 EA group(n=9), no-treatment GI group(n=9), and then observe their changes of BAX and NF-kB at the time lapse of 6 hours, 9 hours and 12 hours after ischemia, using western blotting. The numerical decrease of BAX expression at the time lapse of 9 hours after EA application, though not statistically significant, was observed in GV20 EA group and L14 EA group, and the NF-kB expression appeared statistically significant decrease in GV20 EA group and L14 EA group, but the expression was higher in the group with EA application. Therefore, EA application at the early phase of global ischemia is considered to affect BAX and NF-kB and play a positive role in decreasing apoptosis and cell deaths by inflammation.
Wrenching climatic changes due to ecocide and global wanning are producing a natural disaster. Coastal zones have been damaged by typhoons and accompanying storm surges. Severe waves, and destruction of the environment are adding to the severity of coastal disasters. There has been an increased interest in these coastal zone problems, and associated social confusion, after the loss of life and terrible property damage caused by typhoon Maemi. Especially if storm surges coincide with high ticks, the loss of life and property damage due to high waters are even worse. Therefore, it is desirable to accurately forecast not only the timing of storm surges but also the amount water level increase. Such forecasts are very important from the view point of coastal defense. In this study, using a numerical model, storm surge was simulated to examine its fluctuation characteristics for the coastal area behind Masan Bay, Korea. In the numerical model, a moving boundary condition was incorporated to explain wave run-up. Numerically predicted inundation regimes and depths were compared with measurements from a field survey. Comparisons of the numerical results and measured data show a very good correlation. The numerical model adapted in this study is expected to be a useful tool for analysis of storm surges, and for predicting inundation regimes due to coastal flooding by severe water waves.

Universal Soil Loss Equation (USLE) is to estimate potential soil loss and has benefit in use with its simplicity. The equation is composed of five factors, one of the factors is the slope length and steepness factor (LS factor) that is for topographic property of fields to estimate potential soil loss. Since the USLE was developed, many equations to compute LS was suggested with field measurement. Nowadays the factor is often computed in GIS software with digital elevation model, however it was reported that the factor is very sensitive to the resolution of digital elevation model. In addition, the digital elevation model of high resolution less than 3 meter is required in small field application, however these inputs are not associate with the empirical models' backgrounds since the empirical models were derived in 22.1 meter field measurements. In the study, four equation to compute LS factor and two approaches to determine slope length and steepness were examined, and correction factor was suggested to provide reasonable precision in LS estimations. The correction factor is computed with field area and cell size of digital elevation model, thus the correction factor can be adapted in any USLE-based models using LS factor at field level.
