  • Role of landing gear is to absorb energy which is generated by aircraft ground maneuvering and landing. Generally, in order to absorb the impact energy, oleo-pneumatic type shock absorber is used in aircraft landing gear. Oleo-pneumatic type shock absorber has a good energy absorption efficiency and is light in weight because structure of oleo-pneumatic type shock strut is relatively simple. In this study, dynamic load analysis for swinging arm type landing gear was performed to predict landing loads. Modeling of landing gear was conducted with MSC.ADAMS, and dynamic landing loads were analyzed based on ADS-29. Optimum landing loads were generated through adjustment of damping orifice and the analysis results were presented with various aircraft attitude.

  • This paper discusses the numerical study on the dynamics of the high-speed EMU by developing the 34 degrees-of-freedom (DOF) lumped parameter model including the effect of the creepage. In order to reflect the creepage, the Kalker's wheel-rail contact theory is introduced in the proposed model. The dynamic analysis using $Matlab^{(R)}$ software is conducted, and its results are compared with those from ADAMS/Rail to investigate the validity of the proposed 34-DOF lumped parameter model. It is demonstrated that the results from the numerical study are similar to those from ADAMS/Rail. In addition, the critical design parameters of high-speed EMU are examined, and the design guidelines for reducing vibration and enhancing ride quality are proposed.

  • This paper addresses the numerical study on the dynamics of the High-speed EMU to enhance the ride quality. The 17 and 34 degrees-of-freedom (DOF) dynamic models for a single railway vehicle are proposed, and its vibrational characteristics according to the nonuniform rail profile are analyzed via Matlab. The validity of the proposed 34-DOF model are verified by comparing its dynamic characteristics and those from ADAMS/Rail. In addition, the critical dynamic parameters are identified by the parametric analysis, and rough design variables to reduce the vibration level of the railway vehicle are proposed. Finally, the frequency analysis - FFT - are conducted to extract the resonant frequencies, which have a significant influence on the determination of the critical speed of the railway vehicle. It is demonstrated that the results from the Matlab-based numerical analysis of the 34-DOF dynamic model are similar to those from ADAMS/Rail.

  • In this study, the conformable fractional derivative(CFD) of order 𝝔 in conjunction with the LC operator of orderρ is used to develop the model of the transmission of the A(H1N1) influenza infection. A brand-new A(H1N1) influenza infection model is presented, with a population split into four different compartments. Fixed point theorems were used to prove the existence of the solutions and uniqueness of this model. The basic reproduction number R0 was determined. The least and most sensitive variables that could alter R0 were then determined using normalized forward sensitivity indices. Through numerical simulations carried out with the aid of the Adams-Moulton approach, the study also investigated the effects of numerous biological characteristics on the system. The findings demonstrated that if 𝝔 < 1 and ρ < 1 under the CFD, also the findings demonstrated that if 𝝔 = 1 and ρ = 1 under the CFD, the A(H1N1) influenza infection will not vanish.
