Recently, a number of problems due to the CO2 emissions are occurred. Therefore, it is a movement to restrict this activity. The research is being carried out steadily for recycling waste concrete from the cement paste based fine powder, which accounts for over 60% of construction waste as a recycled cement. In this study, the conclusion was obtained as a result of the research conducted, and then, replacing the main material of cement concrete to solve the above problem by reducing the amount of cement used Waste Concrete Powder. The more concrete results page replacement ratio of fine powder increases, the flow value of the concrete is lowered, the strength was remarkably reduced when the page Concrete Powder.
A new alkalophilic strain of Bacillus pumilus JB¬05 producing bleach-stable and halo-tolerant alkaline protease was isolated from cement industry effluents in Karnataka, India. The effects of carbon and nitrogen sources on protease production by this alkalophilic strain were observed after a 30-h incubation. A high level of alkaline protease activity was obtained in the presence of starch as the carbon and peptone as the nitrogen sources. The partially purified enzyme showed an optimum temperature and pH activity at $58^{\circ}C$ and 10.5, respectively. The enzyme was completely inhibited by PMSF (95.0%) indicating it as a serine protease. It is bleach-stable as it retained 35% original activity in the presence of 10% (v/v) hydrogen peroxide at $30^{\circ}$C after 2 h and is halo-tolerant as it retained 70% original activity in the presence of 2.5 M sodium chloride at $30^{\circ}C$ after 2 h incubation.
The amount of carbon dioxide ($CO_2$) released while producing building materials is substantial and has been targeted as a leading contributor to global climate change. One of the most typical methods of reducing $CO_2$ in building materials is the addition of slag and fly ash, like pozzolan material another method is to reduce $CO_2$ production by developing carbon negative cement. MgO-based cement from the low-temperature calcination of magnesite required less energy and emitted less $CO_2$ than the manufacturing of Portland cements. It is also believed that adding reactive MgO to Portland-pozzolan cements can improve their performance and also increase their capacity to absorb atmospheric $CO_2$. In this study, basic research on magnesia cement using $MgCO_3$ and magnesium silicate ore (serpentine) as the main starting materials, as well as blast furnace slag for the mineral admixture, was carried out for industrial waste material recycling. In order to increase the overall hydration activity, $MgCl_2$ was also added. In the case of the addition of $MgCl_2$as accelerating admixture, there was a promoting effect on the compressive strength. This was found to be due to the production of needle-like dense Mg-Cl hydrates. Mgnesia cement has a high viscosity due to its high specific surface area therefore, when the PC-based dispersing agent was added at a level of more than 1.0%, it had the effect of improving fluidity. In particular, the addition of $MgCl_2$ in magnesia cement using $MgCO_3$and magnesium silicate ore (serpentine) as main starting materials led to a lower expansion ratio and an increase in the freeze-thaw resistance finally, the addition of $MgCl_2$ as accelerating admixture led to good overall durability.
In this study, we studied the effect of dissolved cement powder on Carassius auratus by analysis of the morphophysiological changes. The gill exposed to dissolved cement powder showed the thickened primary lamellae and the activity of chloride cells and mucous cells was also significantly increased and the proliferation, separation and clubbing of gill filament was observed in the secondary lamellae. In the kidney tissue, the space in Bowman's capsule was widen and the arrangement of dermis was irregular due to the thinned epidermis in the integument tissue. The activities of antioxidant enzymes and LDH tended to increase with the duration of cement exposure. It was confirmed that the up-regulated proteins were identified as involved in glycolysis and energy metabolism and down-regulated proteins were myofibrillar proteins which were involved in muscle contraction by the cement exposure to the integument. With these results, dissolved cement powder was thought to be a big threat to the survival of the fish because it causes the morphological changes and weakens the physiological activity in C. auratus tissues.
In this study, different formulations of magnesium oxide and various modifiers (phosphoric acid, ferrous sulfate, pure acrylic emulsion, silicone acrylic emulsion, glass fiber, and polypropylene fiber) were used to prepare magnesium oxychloride cement composites. The compressive strength of the magnesium oxychloride cement was tested, and the softening coefficients of the composites after soaking in water were also calculated. The results showed that a magnesium oxychloride cement sample could not be coagulated when the MgO activity was 24.3%, but the coagulation effect of the magnesium oxide cement sample was excellent when the MgO activity was 69.5%. While pure acrylic emulsion, silicon-acrylic emulsion, and glass fiber showed insignificant modification effects on the magnesium oxychloride cement, ferrous sulfate heptahydrate, phosphoric acid, and polypropylene fiber could effectively improve its water resistance and compressive strength. When the phosphoric acid, ferrous sulfate heptahydrate, and polypropylene fiber contents were 0.47%, 0.73%, and 0.25%, respectively, the softening coefficient of a composite soaked in water reached 0.93 after 7 days, and the compressive strength reached 64.3 MPa.

Statistical- based, principal component analysis (PCA) was applied to chemical data from two underground storage systems containing LPG to assess the usefulness of such technique at the initial stage (Pyeongtaek) or middle stage (Ulsan) of hydrochemical studies. For the first case, both natural and anthropogenic contamination characterize regional groundwater. Saline water buffered by Namyang lake affects as a natural factor, whereas cement grouting influence as an artificial factor. For the second study area, contaminations due to operation of LPG caverns, such as disinfection activity and cement grouting effect, deteriorate groundwater quality. This study indicates that principal component analysis would be particularly useful for summarizing large data set for the purpose of subsurface characterization, assessing their vulnerability to contamination and protecting recharge zones.

Bis-GMA, TEGDMA, and camphorquinone were used as the main material, cross-linking agent, and photoinitiator, respectively. In addition, 2-isocyanatoethyl methacrylate was used as an additive for high strength, while the 3-hydroxypyridine was used as an additive for antibacterial activity. Photopolymerization was also carried out at a 440-480 nm wavelength and at about $1000mW/cm^2$ intensity for about 40 seconds. The breaking strength measurement of the samples showed that the breaking strength increased along with increasing the addition ratio of IEM, while it took less time until the polymerization was complete, thereby suggesting that the degree of polymerization has the tendency to increase. And also, compared to the size of the clear zone formed by ampicillin, the 3-hydroxypyridine group exhibited antimicrobial activity induced by ampicillin. The results of this study suggest that the use of 2-isocyanatoethyl methacrylate as an additive for high strength and 3-hydroxypyridine as an additive for improved antibacterial activity would improve the usability of the fabricated polymer as a dental resin cement material with high functionality.
Antifungal agents are used to impart antibacterial or bactericidal properties to commodities and various articles used in industries and can be classified into two broad groups i.e organic and inorganic. Inorganic antifungal agents comprise of Ag, Zn, or Cu, etc. These elements tend to exhibit high level of antifungal activities, non-uniform dispersion in substrates, and have poor properties in expensive and cheap adhesiveness. In this study, the organic antifungal agent was used for the purpose of investigating the antifungal activity of antifungal agent activated-cement mortar (AACM) on the aspergilus niger of various fungus which can be easily discovered in the interiors and exteriors of buildings. In addition, an experiment on the basic physical properties of AACM such as compressive and flexural strength was carried out. The conclusion of this investigation revealed that a dosage increase of antifungal agent exhibits a high inhibitory effect on the aspergilus niger, and although there is a slight decrease in the strength of AACM, the strength of AACM was almost equal to that of inactivated cement mortar.
PURPOSE. This study investigated the effects of silver nanoparticle (SN) loading into hydraulic calcium silicate-based Portland cement on its mechanical, antibacterial behavior and biocompatibility as a novel dental bone substitute. MATERIALS AND METHODS. Chemically reduced colloidal SN were combined with Portland cement (PC) by the concentrations of 0 (control), 1.0, 3.0, and 5.0 wt%. The physico-mechanical properties of silver-Portland cement nanocomposites (SPNC) were investigated through X-ray diffraction (XRD), setting time, compressive strength, solubility, and silver ion elution. Antimicrobial properties of SPNC were tested by agar diffusion against Streptococcus mutans and Streptococcus sobrinus. Cytotoxic evaluation for human gingival fibroblast (HGF) was performed by MTS assay. RESULTS. XRD certified that SN was successfully impregnated in PC. SPNC at above 3.0 wt% significantly reduced both initial and final setting times compared to control PC. No statistical differences of the compressive strength values were detected after SN loadings, and solubility rates of SPNC were below 3.0%, which are acceptable by ADA guidelines. Ag ion elutions from SPNC were confirmed with dose-dependence on the concentrations of SN added. SPNC of 5.0 wt% inhibited the growth of Streptococci, whereas no antimicrobial activity was shown in control PC. SPNC revealed no cytotoxic effects to HGF following ISO 10993 (cell viability > 70%). CONCLUSION. Addition of SN promoted the antibacterial activity and favored the bio-mechanical properties of PC; thus, SPNC could be a candidate for the futuristic dental biomaterial. For clinical warrant, further studies including the inhibitory mechanism, in vivo and long-term researches are still required.

The objective of this research paper is to discuss the waste coffee residue disposal and its environmental effects on the environment. As we know, coffee is one of the most demand and swallowed beverages in the world, which leads to large quantities of solid waste. Which can be toxic and a lot of environmental problems occur. In developing countries, there is a lack of proper coffee waste residue management. The coffee beans and residues contain several organic compounds. The wastewater from coffee industry emitted several pollutants (highly concentrated) and it contaminates the soil, ground waters, aquatic life, and also human health. Hence it is essential to treat the coffee waste residues. Mean while, oyster shell waste and its disposal also a big environmental challenge in the coastal regions of southeast Korea. In this paper, we focused the treatment of coffee waste residue with oyster shell waste powder. Primarily, oyster shells are calcinated at higher temperatures and investigated the calcined CaO powder as an anti microbic agent to the bacteria presented in coffee waste residues. We successfully applied calcium oxide from oyster shell waste, as an antimicrobic agent.
