  • The vibration of an attractive magnetic levitation(Maglev) vehicle transportation system is caused by the irregularity of the guideway track and the performance of the suspensions of the Maglev system. It is essential for us to give attention to the secondary suspension of the vehicle system as it determines the ride quality. In order to improve the ride quality and running stability, active secondary suspensions have been developed and applied to the vibration problems. This paper analyzes the performance of the active secondary suspension which is applied to an attractive magnetic levitation vehicle system running on a rough track. The dynamics of the suspension system and the optimal control problems are studied. According to the transient and frequency response analyses to the track disturbance, the ride quality of an attractive Maglev vehicle has been improved by applying the designed LQR active controller, and it has been confirmed that this improvement was also influenced by the configuration of the system.

  • Active suspension technology of railway vehicles has received attention as the way to replace the current passive suspension. This paper deals with the dynamic performance of an active suspension system for a railway vehicle. To verify performance of an active suspension, the dynamic performance of the railway vehicle with active suspension system analyzed and compared with conventional suspension system by using the VI-rail program.

  • In general, lateral ride comfort of railway vehicle is mainly influenced by a secondary suspension placed between the bogie and carbody. Higher operating speeds of train results in increased vibration of carbody, which has a negative impact related to the ride comfort. To solve this problem, researches to replace the conventional passive suspension with (semi)active technology in the secondary suspension of a railway vehicle have been carried out. The semi-active suspension using the magneto-rheological damper is relatively simpler system and has advantage in maintenance compared to the hydraulic type semi-active damper. This study was performed to reduce lateral vibration acceleration of carbody related to ride comfort of railway vehicles with a semi-active suspension system. The numerical analysis was conducted by replacing passive lateral damper with semi-active MR damper, and robust control with the MR damper was applied to the 1/5 scaled railway vehicle model.

  • The maximum speed is one of the most important performance in high speed railway vehicle. The higher the train speed is, the worse the ride comfort is, In order to solve this problem, a semi-active or active suspension can be applied to high speed railway vehicle. The variable damper with hydraulic solenoid valve is used in the semi-active suspension. But the variable damper with hydraulic solenoid valve requires tank for supplying fluid. The MR(Magneto Rheological) damper can be considered instead of hydraulic variable damper which needs additional device, i.e. reserver tank for fluid. In the case of active suspension, hydraulic actuator or electro-mechanical one is used to suppress the carbody vibration in railway vehicle. In this study the MR damper and electro-mechanical actuator was considered in secondary suspension system of high speed railway vehicle. The dynamic analysis was performed by using 10-DOF dynamic equations of railway vehicle. The performance of the semi-active suspension and active suspension system were reviewed by using MATLAB/Simulink S/W. The vibration suppression effect of semi-active and active suspension system were investigated experimentally by using 1/5-scaled railway vehicle model.

  • This paper presents the feasibility for improving the ride quality of railway vehicle equipped with semi-active suspension system using magnetorheological(MR) fluid damper. In order to achieve this goal, a fifteen degree of freedom of railway vehicle model, which includes a car body, bogie frame and wheel-set is proposed to represent lateral, yaw and roll motions. The MR damper system is incorporated with the governing equation of motion of the railway vehicle which includes secondary suspension. To illustrate the effectiveness of the controlled MR dampers on railway vehicle secondary suspension system, the sky-hook control law using the velocity feedback is adopted. Computer simulation for performance evaluation is performed using Matlab. Various control performances are demonstrated under external excitation which is the creep force between wheel and rail.

  • 버드나무의 잎으로부터 유도(誘導)된 callus의 현탁배양(懸濁培養)은 MS 기본배지(基本培地)에 2,4-D 1.0mg/l와 zeatin 0.1mg/l를 첨가(添加)한 액체배지(液體培地)에서 생장(生長)이 가장 좋았다. 액체배지(液體培地)에서 24일간(日間) 세포(細胞)를 배양(培養)한 후(後) 분리(分離)된 배양액(培養液)은 상치, 벼 그리고 피 종자(種子)의 발아(發芽)를 강(强)하게 억제(抑制)하여 배양중(培養中)에 생리활성(生理活性) 물질(物質)이 형성(形成)되는 것으로 추정(推定)되었다. 배양세포(培養細胞)에서는 pyrogallol, sinapic acid, cinnamic acid, tannic+gallic acid 그리고 P-chlorobenzoic acid 등(等)과 같은 여러 종류(種類)의 phenol 화합물(化合物)이 검출(檢出)되어 이들이 강(强)한 발아(發芽) 억제작용(抑制作用)을 하는 것으로 사료(思料)되었다.

  • In this paper, a modeling for the dynamic behavior of a train vehicle is suggested for the prediction of the braking characteristics. In the dynamic modeling, effects of the primary and secondary suspension elements are considered and interactions between two vehicles are also estimated. This study can offer some fundamental results for a further research to enhance the braking performance using active braking control.

  • Scutellaria baicalensis. G. 식물 세포의 현탁 배양에서 세포의 성장과 flavonoid glycosides 생산에 관한 구조적 성장 모텔 을 제안하였다 제안된 모델식은 현탁 배양의 형광을 측정함으 써 결정될 수 있는 세포 생존도와 세포 활동도 등플 세포의 생리학적 변수로서 고려하였다. 제안된 모델식에서는 세포의 상태에 따라 세포블 크게 생존 세포와 비생존 세포로 나누고 생존 세포를 분화 가능한 생존 세포와 비분화 생존 세포로 나누어 각 각의 모델을 구성하였다. 이 중 생존 세포 중량은 광섬유 형광 센서로 측정한 상대 형광 세가로부터 결정될 수 있었다. Flavonoid 배당체의 생산 속도는 분화 가능한 생존 세포와 바 분화 생존 세포에 의해 지배되며, 배양액의 삼투압에 의한 서l포 팽창과 세포내 생성불절의 방출은 비생존 세포에 의해 이루어진다고 가정하였다. 종속변수는 가칠농도(포도당), 세포 중량(건조 세포중량과 생체중량), 대사산물농도(flavone glycosides), 활동도와 생존도플 포함한다 Scutellaria baicalensis. G. 식물 세포 의 푹라스크 배양으로부터 모델과 실험결과가 잘 일치함을 알 수 있었다. 제시된 모델은 세포의 성장, flavone glycosides 및 중간매개체 합성을 예측할 수 있다.

금속 코팅된 흑연 입자로 제조된 전극의 전기화학적 특성 (Electrochemical Characteristics of Metal Coated Graphite for Anodic Active Material of Lithium Secondary Battery)

  • 리튬이차전지 음극활물질로 사용되는 합성흑연입자에 여러종류금속을 코팅하여 그 전기화학적특성을 조사하였으며, 구체적인 코팅방법으로는 가스분산스프레이 코팅법을 적용하였다. 본 연구범위내에서 금속을 코팅한 입자로 제조된 전극은 충방전시 형성되는 계면저항을 감소시킴으로서 결과적으로 원시료에 비해서 높은 방전용량을 나타내었다. CV실험을 통해서 은과 주석은 리튬과의 합금반응을 확인할 수 있었으나, 2.5 중량$\%$ 이하의 낮은 코팅량을 고려했을 때, 높은 분산도를 지닌 금속 물질의 코팅을 통한 전극 활물질 표면의 균일한 전도도의 증가가 주요원인인 것으로 사료되었다. 단일계 금속으로 코팅하였을 경우 은코팅한 전극활물질이 가장 높은 방전용량과 사이클특성을 나타내었고, 은을 기본으로 하는 이성분계에서는 은-니켈전극이 가장 높은 고율특성을 나타내었다.

Pigment and Saikosoponin Production Through Bioreactor Culture of Carthamus tinctorius and Bupleurum falcatum

  • Traditional culture technology of medicinal plants mainly depends on the field culture, which has many problems. With progress of modern culture technology, it has become possible to produce valuable secondary metabolites from medicinal plants. In this paper, we discuss about the pigment and saikosaponin production from too medicinal plants, Carthamus tinctorius and Bupleurum falcatum, through bioreactor culture system. A two-stage bioreactor culture system was established for the production of yellow and red pigments and saikosaponins by cell suspension cultures of Carthamus tinctorius and Bupleurum falcatum. In Carthamus tinctorius, balloon type airlift bioreactors and column type airlift bioreactors were employed for the tell culture and for the pigment production, respectively. The greatest pigment production was obtained on White medium supplemented with 4 mg/L kinetin, high levels of sucrose concentration and photosynthetic photon flux. In Bupleurum falcatum, adventitious roots were cultured in balloon type airlift bioreactors and the root growth was greatest on SH medium containing 5 mg/L IBA and 0.2 mg/L kinetin. HPLC analysis showed that the contents of main active saikosaponins a, c, and d in adventitious roots were almost the same as those in field cultured root.
