선박 조종미계수 식별 시 모델링 전 추정기법과 확장 Kalman 필터에 의한 계수추정법의 비교에 관한 연구 (Comparison of the Estimation-Before-Modeling Technique with the Parameter Estimation Method Using the Extended Kalman Filter in the Estimation of Manoeuvring Derivatives of a Ship)

  • Two methods which estimate manoeuvring derivatives in the model of hydrodynamic force and moment acting on a manoeuvring ship using sea trial data were compared. One is the widely used parameter estimation method by using the Extended Kalman Filter (EKF), which estimates state variables of linearized state space model at every instant after dealing with the coefficients as the augmented state variables. The other one is the Estimation-Before-Modeling (EBM) technique, so called the two-step method. In the first step, hydrodynamic force of which dynamic model is assumed the third-order Gauss-Markov process is estimated along with motion variables by the EKF and the modified Bryson-Frazier smoother. Then, in the next step, manoeuvring derivatives are identified through the regression analysis. If the exact structure of hydrodynamic force could be known, which was an ideal case, the EKF method would be regarded as being more superior compared to the EBM technique. However the EBM technique was more robust than the EKF method from a realistic point of view where the assumed model structure was slightly different from the real one.

  • A vectorial approach is used to reduce the objectionable booming noise in the vehicle interior cabin. After identifying the structural transmisson paths, the structural-acoustic transfer functions are evaluated at those mounting positions. Using the measured deformations in the mounting elements and multiplying them with each dynamic stiffness value one can easily get the dynamic input forces acting on the mounting elements. By summing all the contributors vectorially, most important contributor or transmission path can be determined. According to the experimental information, devised countermeasures are applied to a development car and good results are obtained.

  • The driving torque acting on a rotatable disk of watthour meter is proportional to the effective power. The aim of this paper is to show how the driving torque on a disk can be measured by a LVDT transducer. This driving torque is obtained by the theoretical computation. To verify the computated result, the LVDT as torque transducer, was used. A comparison is made between computed and measured torques.

  • 기존의 데이터베이스관리시스템(Database Management System : DBMS)은 대부분 메인 프레임 컴퓨터 이상의 컴퓨터와 같은 강력한 컴퓨터에 설치되고, 이 컴퓨터에 터미널을 연결하여 운용하는 방식이 대부분이었다. 최근 들어 저렴하고 강력한 워크스테이션과 초고속의 통신장비 등장으로 클라이언트-서버 DBMS구조는 많은 사람들에 의해서 연구되고 있다. 그러나. 클라이언트-서버 DBMS의 고장회복에 관한 연구는 아직까지 깊이 있게 연구되지 않고 있는 실정이다. 본 논문은 클라이언트-서버 환경 중 페이지-서버 환경의 회복기법에 관해서 논한다. 제한된 기법은 서버파손이 발생할 경우 페이지별로 로그일련번호 부여로 신속히 회복을 수행할 수 있고, 클라이언트에서 철회동작을 수행함으로써 시스템 병렬성을 사용하였다. 그리고 기존의 방법과 달리 재수행 로그레코드만을 서버로 전송하므로 WAL(Write Ahead log) 규약을 위한 오버헤드가 감소되었다.

강관 다단 그라우팅으로 보강된 터널의 침투수력을 고려한 막장 안정성 검토 (Seepage-induced Face Stability of n Tunnel with Steel Pipe-reinforced Multistep Grouting)

  • 도심지에서 열악한 지반조건에서의 터널 시공을 때때로 불가피 하다. 터널의 안정성 증대와 인접 구조물의 손상을 방지하기 위하여 지반 개량과 보강이 요구된다. 이러한 목적을 달성하기 위해 보조 공법으로 강관 다단 그라우팅은 근래에 국내의 터널 현장에 적용되고 있다. 본 연구에서는 강관 다단 그라우팅으로 보강된 터널의 막장 안정성을 평가하였다. 건조한 지반에서는 지보압이 강관 다단 그라우팅으로 인해 크게 감소하지 않으나 지하수위 하에서 터널시공 시 터널 막장에 발생하게 되는 침투수력은 상대적으로 크게 감소하였다. 투수계수의 이방성이 터널 막장에 작용하는 침투수력에 미치는 영향은 역학해석과 지하수 흐름해석의 연계해석을 통하여 검토되었다. 수직방향에 비해 수평방향의 투수계수가 큰 경우 터널 막장에 작용하는 침투수력은 감소하였다.

  • There are many methods to assemble various parts of a product, and one of them is the bolting system widely used in a industrial field due to the merits; easiness to obtain strong tightening force, simplicity of assemble or disassemble in order to repair, substitution or cleaning, and so on. But this bolting system needs attachments not to let a bolt loose and they are an important factor to cost a great deal. In this study, some equations are suggested and FE analyses are carried out to verify the cause of the bolt looseness occurring in the tightening process. And because the number of bolts in the bolting system has been decided by empirical know-how of designers in the field, safety rate in the plate type heat exchanger is often too high. Therefore the equations to decrease in quantity are suggested in consideration of the relationship between a critical shearing force acting on the screw and a normal force acting on the cooling plate by the working fluid.

  • In the present study, a flow analysis for estimating the wave loads acting on a stationary floating body inside a viscous numerical wave tank was performed using the commercial software FLUENT. The governing equations for the viscous and incompressible fluid motion were the continuity and Navier-Stokes equations, and a piston-type wavemaker was employed to reproduce wave environments. First, the optimal simulation conditions were derived through numerical tests for the wavemaker and wave absorber, and then the wave loads and wave run-up on a vertical truncated cylinder were estimated and compared with the experimental and other numerical results.

Investigation on the flexural behavior of an innovative U-shaped steel-concrete composite beam

  • Within the French CIFRE research project COMINO, an innovative type of composite beam was developed for buildings that need fire resistance with no additional supports in construction stage. The developed solution is composed of a steel U-shaped beam acting as a formwork in construction stage for a reinforced concrete part that provides the fire resistance. In the exploitation stage, the steel and the reinforced concrete are acting together as a composite beam. This paper presents the investigation made on the load bearing capacity of this new developed steel-concrete composite section. A full-scale test has been carried out at the Laboratory of Structural Engineering of the University of Luxembourg. The paper presents the configuration of the specimen, the fabrication process and the obtained test results. The beam behaved compositely and exhibited high ductility and bending resistance. The shear connection in the tension zone was effective. The beam failed by a separation between the slab and the beam at high deformations, excessive shear forces conducted to a failure of the stirrups in this zone. The test results are then compared with good agreement to analytical methods of design based on EN 1994 and design guidelines are given.

비선형 관측기를 이용한 차량의 타이어 횡력 감지시스템 개발 (Development of Tire Lateral Force Monitoring Systems Using Nonlinear Observers)

  • Longitudinal and lateral forces acting on tires are known to be closely related to the tract-ability braking characteristics handling stability and maneuverability of ground vehicles. In thie paper in order to develop tire force monitoring systems a monitoring model is proposed utilizing not only the vehicle dynamics but also the roll motion. Based on the monitoring model three monitoring systems are developed to estimate the tire force acting on each tire. Two monitoring systems are designed utilizing the conventional estimation techniques such as SMO(Sliding Mode Observer) and EKF(Extended Kalman Filter). An additional monitoring system is designed based on a new SKFMEC(Scaled Kalman Filter with Model Error Compensator) technique which is developed to improve the performance of EKF method. Tire force estimation performance of the three monitoring systems is compared in the Matlab simulations where true tire force data is generated from a 14 DOF vehicle model with the combined-slip Magic Formula tire model. The built in our Lab. simulation results show that the SKFMEC method gives the best performance when the driving and road conditions are perturbed.

LNG 화물창 단열구조의 슬로싱 충격응답 간이해석법에 관한 연구 (A Study on Simplified Sloshing Impact Response Analysis for Membrane-Type LNG Cargo Containment System)

  • To ensure structural integrity of membrane type LNG tank, the rational assessment of the sloshing impact responses of tank structures should be preceded. The sloshing impact pressures acting on the insulation system of LNG tank are typical irregular loads and the resulting structural responses show very complex behaviors accompanied with fluid structure interaction. So it is not easy to estimate them accurately and immense time consuming calculation process would be necessary. In this research, a simplified method to analyse the dynamic structural responses of LNG tank insulation system under pressure time histories obtained by sloshing model test or numerical analysis was studied. The proposed technique based on the concept of linear combination of the triangular response functions which are the transient responses of structures under the unit triangular impact pressure acting on structures. The validity of suggested method was verified through the example calculations and applied to the dynamic structural response analysis of a real Mark III membrane type insulation system using the sloshing impact pressure time histories obtained by model test.
