그래핀과 실세스키옥세인을 포함한 팔라듐 나노입자와의 나노복합체 제조 (Fabrication of Hybrid Nanocomposites of PAA-grafted Graphene and Pd Nanoparticles having POSS (Pd-POSS))

  • 케이지 구조의 POSS-$NH_3{^+}$를 이용하여 팔라듐 입자들의 자기 조직화로 인한 구조가 제어된 Pd-POSS 나노입자를 제조하였다. 또한 흑연을 강산과 산화제를 이용하여 산화된 그래핀 옥사이드(GO)를 합성한 후 얻어진 GO와 NaBH4와의 반응을 통하여 그래핀을 제조하였다. 합성된 그래핀과 acrylic acid와 라디칼 중합 반응을 통하여 그래핀 표면에 poly(acrylic acid)(PAA)가 결합된 PAA-grafted graphene을 얻었다. Pd-POSS와 PAA-grafted graphene을 이용한 나노복합체는 POSS-$NH_3{^+}$로 인하여 양전하를 띠는 Pd-POSS 나노입자와 PAA로 인하여 음전하를 띠는 PAA-grafted graphene와의 정전기적 인력을 이용하여 제조하였다. Pd-POSS 나노입자가 PAA로 치환된 그래핀 표면에 정전기적 인력으로 결합되어 있고, 나노복합체의 열적 안정성은 PAA와 PAA-grafted graphene 보다 우수한 것을 확인할 수 있었다. 제조된 Pd-POSS/PAA-grafted graphene 나노복합체의 구조 및 형태와 열적 안정성은 FE-SEM, AFM, TEM, EDX, FTIR과 TGA를 통하여 분석하였다.

Fluorescence of Styrene and Acrylic Acid Copolymers Containing Eu$^{3+}$ in Tetrahydrofuran Solution

  • The fluorescence emission of polystyrene-acrylic acid copolymers containing $Eu^{3+}$ in tetrahydrofuran solution was investigated by spectrofluorimetry. The excimer emission increased linearly with the polymer concentration up to approximately $5{\times}10^{-3}$M. Benzene and toluene collisionally quenched the excimer fluorescence and thier rate constants of quenching were determined. Quenching efficiencies decreased in the order: naphthalene > toluene > benzene. Analyses of Rayleigh scattering and europium emission showed no measurable structural changes observed under the experimental conditions.

  • Poly(vinyl acetate)와 poly(vinyl acetate-co-2-ethylhexyl acrylate)를 여러 조건에서 semicontinuous emulsion 중합으로 합성하였다. Overall conversion, emulsion 입자크기, pH, 점도 등을 합성한 두 emulsion polymer에 대해 측정하였다. Vinyl acetate monomer에 2-ethylhexyl acrylate를 도입함으로서 emulsion 입도, 점도, 중합 속도, 유리 전이 속도가 감소함을 확인하였다.

  • Nylon직포의 표면을 친수화 하기 위하여 동시조사법으로 Acrylic acid를 방사선 graft중합시켰다. Monomer용액속서 침지된 Nylon직포를 공기중 또는 진공하에서 ${\gamma}$-선으로 조사시켰다. 직포 표면에 형성된 Polyacrylic acid는 10$0^{\circ}C$의 sodium hydroxide용액(0.1%)으로 대부분 추출되었다. 접목 반응된 생성물의 화학적 조성을 측정하였다. 접목반응된 Polymer와 방사선 처리를 하지 않은 polyamide를 비교하여 볼 때 흡수성이라든가 대전성은 증진되었다.

  • With the incorporation of hydrogen peroxide($H_2O_2$) and NaLS as an initiator and emulsifier, acrylic acid monomer was graft copolymerized with sodium alginate prepared from alginic acid, and then the grafted copolymer was confirmed through IR spectrometer. When the amounts of acrylic acid increased the grafting also showed increasing trend. While the contents of hydrogen peroxide was varied in the aqueous sodium alginate solution, the grafting efficiency decreased gradually as the amounts of initiator increased.

  • Pulsatile swelling behaviors and their application to drug delivery system were studied by using interpenetrating polymer networks(IPN) hydrogels constructed with poly(vinyl alcohol) and poly(acrylic acid). The PVA/PAAc IPNs hydrogels were symthesized by UV irradiation tallowed by repetitive freezing and thawing method. These hydrogels showed pH and temperature sensitive swelling behaviors. From the release experiment, the release amount of model drug incorporated into these hydrogels showed pulsatile patterns. Permeability coefficients obtained by various solutes differed in response to changes of permeation conditions.

실리콘 수식 비닐아세테이트-아크릴 공중합체 수지의 방수성 및 열적 성질 (Water Resistance and Thermal Properties of Resin Based on Silane-modified Vinyl Acetate-Acrylic Emulsion Copolymers)

  • Triphenylvinylsilane (TPVS) containing vinyl acetate (VAc), butyl acrylate (BA), and Nmethylolacrylamide (NMA) copolymers were prepared by emulsion polymerization. The polymerization was performed at $80^{\circ}C$ in the presence of auxiliary agents and ammonium peroxodisulfate (APS) as the initiator. Sodium dodecyl sulphate (SDS) and Arkupal N-300 were used as anionic and nonionic emulsifiers, respectively. The resulting copolymers were characterized by using Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy (FTIR), gel permeation chromatography (GPC), and dynamic light scattering (DLS). Thermal properties of the copolymers were studied by using thermogravimetric analysis (TGA) and differential scanning calorimetry (DSC). The morphology of copolymers was also investigated by scanning electron microscopy (SEM) and then the effects of silicone concentrations on the properties of the TPVS-containing VAc-acrylic emulsion copolymers were discussed. The obtained copolymers have high solid content (50%) and can be used in weather resistant emulsion paints as a binder.

  • 시차주사 열분석기를 이용하여 poly(ethylene oxide)(PEO)/poty(styrene-co-acrylic acid) (SAA) blonds에 대한 등온 결정화 속도를 blend의 조성, 사용한 SAA의 공중합조성 및 결정화 온도에 따라 조사하였다. 실험결과는 Avrami 방정식을 이용하여 분석하였다. Avrami지수는 결정화 온도에 관계없이 거의 모든 blend 시료에서 2의 값을 나타내었다. 결정화 속도는 blend시료의 SAA 함량 및 사용한 SAA 공중합체의 아크릴산함량이 증가함에 따라 급격히 느려졌다.

아크릴섬유 폐수의 생물학적 질소제거공정의 개선 (Improvement of the Advanced Treatment for Nitrogen Removal of Acrylic Fiber Wastewater)

  • The effluent discharge standards of industrial wastewater has become more stringent since 2003. Many industrial wastewater treatment plants has been upgraded to advanced treatment facilities. There are high concentrations of nitrate(>200 mg/L) and ammonium(>50 mg/L) nitrogen in the acrylic fiber wastewater of H textile Co. Wastewater from acrylic fiber industry containing acrylonitrile, which may affect the subsequent biological treatment process. Manufacturing of acrylic fiber also produces shock loadings. Excessive acrylonitrile and polymer debris produced in the polymerization process was screened, coagulated with CaO and settled down. A preaeration system was added to treat this high pH effluent to remove volatile organic compound and ammonia nitrogen by the air stripping effect. it was found that nitrification rate was not sufficient in the Anoxic/Oxic(AO) process. One denitrification tank was converted to nitrification reactor to extend HRT of nitrification. Nitrification rate of ammonia nitrogen was promoted from 32% to 67% by this modification and effluent nitrogen concentration was well satisfied with the effluent standards since then.
