For the present study, rhEGF was encapsulated into solid lipid nanoparticles (SLNs). The SLNs were prepared by the $W_1/O/W_2$ double emulsification method combined with the high pressure homogenization method and the physical properties such as particle size, zeta-potential and encapsulation efficiency were measured. The overall particle morphology of SLNs was investigated using a transmission electron microscopy (TEM). The percutaneous skin permeation and accumulation property of rhEGF was evaluated using Franz diffusion cell system along with confocal laser scanning microscopy (CLSM). The mean particle size of rhEGF-loaded SLNs was $104.00{\pm}3.99nm$ and the zeta-potential value was in the range of -$36.99{\pm}0.54mV$, providing a good colloidal stability. The TEM image revealed a spherical shape of SLNs about 100 nm and the encapsulation efficiency was $18.47{\pm}0.22%$. The skin accumulation of rhEGF was enhanced by SLNs. CLSM image analysis provided that the rhEGF rat skin accumulation is facilitated by an entry of SLNs through the pores of skin.
Three cores were taken from the northwest Pacific Ocean (Shikoku Basin) to determine the accumulation rates of both biogenic and terrigeneous fractions since the last penultimate interglacial period. The sediment is characterized by large amounts of terrigenous materials with low biogenic fractions and intermittent volcanic-ash layers, suggesting a hemipelagic origin. Composition of major elements shows no significant differences among sites. Relatively small variation of TiO$_2$/Al$_2$O$_3$ ratios with respect to SiO$_2$ content is the strong evidence for the common origin of terrigenous materials. The fraction of biogenic carbonates varies from near 0% in ash layers to about 35%, with a gradual increase toward the south (St. 4 through St. 6 to St. 20). However, carbonate contents show step-wise increasing tendency from St. 4 through St. 6 to St. 20, which suggests a southward increase of carbonate production. The color reflectance indicates that the sediment of the southern sites contains relatively higher amounts of biogenic carbonates. The mass accumulation rate of terrigenous fractions during the glacial period was 2-3 times higher than that of interglacial period. This enhanced mass accumulation rate of terrigenous materials was concomitant with the high accumulation rate of biogenic fractions. The total sediment accumulation rate is considered as the most important factor controlling mass accumulation rates of the biogenic and terrigenous materials. The enhanced sediment accumulation during the glacial periods is interpreted as a consequence of climate-induced change in the supply of eolian dust from the Asian continent. Enhanced wind strength during the glacial time may have increased transportation of terrigenous materials to the ocean. Thus, variation of sediment accumulation is highly linked with climatic variations.
Changes in the cell growth and lipid accumulation of marine microalga Dunaliella tertiolecta were investigated in response to the combination of different stress factors including the variation of iron supply as a primary stress factor and different options in light irradiation and $CO_2$ supply as a secondary stress factor. High or limited Fe conditions could act as a stress for lipid synthesis. As a secondary stress factor, non-$CO_2$ condition was good for lipid accumulation, but the overall cell growth was sacrificed significantly after a long-time cultivation. Dark condition as a secondary stress factor also favored lipid accumulation and the extent of cell density reduction at the early period in the dark was small compared to other stress conditions. The two-stage cultivation strategy was necessary to maximize lipid production because tendencies of the cell growth and lipid content were not identical under the chosen stress condition. The first stage was for preparing a high cell density under the normal growth-favoring condition and the second stage was the stress condition to induce lipid accumulation in a short time. The short-term (12 h) incubation under the 5X Fe (3.25 mg/L) and dark conditions resulted in the best lipid productivity of 1.44 g/L/d providing 2 g/L inoculum at the second stage.
The important parameters deciding the fluctuation of Accumulation style surgical operation of ventriculus laser beam are smoothing capacitor, frequency and he characteristics of laser resonator. In this thesis, we control the fluctuation of medical $CO_2C$ laser in realtime by changing Duty-Ratio of IGBT and switching frequency with fixed the smoothing capacitor to improve the fluctuation of laser beam. We detect the light on laser resonator using a CdS photo sensor to improve ripple factor of laser beam and feedback fluctuated signals refined by a band pass filter into the control circuit to stabilize fluctuation actively. There is much to be desired in the realtime controlling technique of the light on Accumulation style surgical operation of ventriculus laser discharge tube in electrical signal. We propose switching control technique with microprocessor and photo sensing technique by controlling switch devices optimum operation and feedback signals detected by a photo sensor into the laser power supply in order to improve ripple factor of the $CO_2$ laser beam.
Cadmium (Cd) accumulation and elimination were assessed in the tissues of the clam R. philippinarum at four experimental concentrations (control, 10, 20, 100, and $200\;{\mu}g/L$) over an exposure period of 2 weeks and an elimination period of 1 week. Cd accumulated in the digestive gland, gill, and residual clam tissues, and accumulation increased with time of exposure and concentration (100 and $200\;{\mu}g/L$). After 2 weeks of Cd exposure, the order of Cd accumulation in tissues was gill > digestive gland > residual tissues. An inverse relationship was observed between concentration factor (CF) and exposure level, but the CF showed an increase with exposure time. During the depuration period, Cd concentrations in the digestive gland, gill, and residual tissues decreased immediately on the cessation of exposure, except in individuals at the $200\;{\mu}g/L$ concentration. The Cd elimination rate from tissues decreased in the order of digestive gland > gill > residual tissues during the depuration period.
Accumulation of cadmium (Cd) was investigated in organs (gill, liver, kidney, intestine) of olive flounder (Paralichthys olivaceus) exposed to sub-lethal concentration (5, 10, 50, 100 $\mu$g/L) of Cd for 30 days. Cd exposure resulted in an increased Cd accumulation in liver of flounder for exposure periods and Cd concentration, and Cd accumulation increased linearly with the exposure time. At 20 days of Cd exposure. the order of Cd accumulation in organs was Bill>intestine>liver>kidney and after 30 days of exposure, Cd accumulation in organs was intestine>liver>gill>idney. An inverse relationship was observed between the accumulation factor (AS) and the exposure level, but AE shows an increase with exposure time.

One of the methods for investigation of mechanical behavior of materials is numerical simulation. For simulation, its need to model behavior is close to real condition. PFC is one of the rock mechanics software that needs calibration for models simulation. The calibration was performed based on simulation of unconfined compression test and Brazilian test. Indeed the micro parameter of models change so that the UCS and Brazilian test results in numerical simulation be close to experimental one. In this paper, the effect of four micro parameters has been investigated on the uniaxial compression test and Brazilian test. These micro parameters are friction angle, Accumulation factor, expansion coefficient and disc distance. The results show that these micro parameters affect the failure pattern in UCS and Brazilian test. Also compressive strength and tensile strength are controlled by failure pattern.
The activity concentrations of $^{210}Po$ and $^{210}Pb$ within phytoplankton-zooplankton-anchovy-mackerel in the coastal water of the Jeju Island were determined to understand their distribution and bio-accumulation along the trophic level. In the surface water, the total activity concentrations of $^{210}Po$ and $^{210}Pb$ were $0.83{\pm}0.004mBq\;kg^{-1}$ and $1.27{\pm}0.03mBq\;kg^{-1}$. And the dissolved activity concentration of $^{210}Po$ and $^{210}Pb$ were $0.75{\pm}0.06mBq\;kg^{-1}$ and $1.22{\pm}0.09mBq\;kg^{-1}$ respectively. In the phytoplankton, the concentration factor (CF) of $^{210}Po$ and $^{210}Pb$ were $1.5{\times}10^5$ and $2.6{\times}10^4$ shows $^{210}Po$ is 5 times higher compared to $^{210}Pb$. The similar CF factor in the zooplankton of $^{210}Po$ was derived as $1.4{\times}10^5$. The CF of $^{210}Po$ in anchovy was increased twice compared to that in plankton. This is the evidence that there is $^{210}Po$ bio-magnification in the trophic level of plankton-anchovy. However the $^{210}Po$ activity concentration in the muscle tissue of mackerel was one-hundred times lower than that in anchovy. This reflects that in the trophic level of anchovy-mackerel, the bio-accumulation of $^{210}Po$ is decreased. The activity concentrations of $^{210}Po$ in the internal organs of anchovy and mackerel were 8 to 38 times higher than those in muscle tissues. In phytoplankton-zooplankton-anchovy, the CF of $^{210}Pb$ was decreased five times along the trophic level in order. In anchovy-mackerel it was decreased by 30-70%.

Salt accumulation is frequently experienced in soils under protected cultivation. Since protected cultivation does not bave rainfall and resulting infiltration, salt accumulation in the soils is inevitable. In this study, analyzed were chemical characteristics of soils under protected cultivation to investigate the factors which may contribute the salt accumulation. Soil samples were collected from 99 protected cultivation facilities around Ansung-Gun, Gyungki-Do and analyzed for electrical conductivity, PH, organic matter contents. The results showed that there was no significant trend of changes in electrical conductivity and pH along cultivation years. The only factor influencing salt acculmuation was irrigation type. Soils in facilities using drip irrigation showed higher electrical conductivity than these using diversion-hose type irrigation.

This study aimed to investigate the effects of red ginseng-derived saponin fraction (SF) on lipid accumulation, reactive oxygen species (ROS) production, and nuclear factor (erythroid-derived 2)-like 2 (Nrf2)/Kelch-like ECH-associated protein 1 (Keap1) signaling during adipocyte differentiation. SF effectively inhibited lipid accumulation, with the downregulation of adipogenic factors such as peroxisome proliferator-activated receptor gamma ($PPAR{\gamma}$) and CCAAT/enhancer-binding protein alpha ($C/EBP{\alpha}$). A high dose of SF decreased the protein levels of $PPAR{\gamma}$ and $C/EBP{\alpha}$ by over 90% compared to the control. SF-mediated downregulation of adipogenic factors was due to the regulation of early adipogenic factors including $C/EBP{\beta}$ and $Kr{\ddot{u}}ppel$-like Factor 2 (KLF2). In addition, SF ($200{\mu}g/mg$) decreased intracellular ROS generation by 40% during adipocyte differentiation. However, the SF significantly upregulated Nrf2 and its target proteins, hemoxygenase-1 (HO-1) and NADPH dehydrogenase quinone 1 (NQO1). Furthermore, SF ($200{\mu}g/mg$) promoted the nuclear translocation of Nrf2. The SF-mediated reduction of lipid accumulation was associated with the regulation of the Nrf2/Keap1 pathway.
