국내 치위생학 교과목 운영실태 및 미국 치위생학교육 인정평가 기준과의 비교연구 (The implement status of dental hygiene curriculum in Korea and the comparison with the US ADA standard)

  • The purpose of this study is to provide the improvement basis for Dental Hygiene education program by analyzing the current implement status of Dental Hygiene curriculum in Korea and comparing the status with the US ADA standard. The researcher analyzed the Dental Hygiene syllabus limiting "Dental prophxis", "Comprehensive dental hygiene" subjects only from 31 universities which offer 3 years program. The main interest was to figure the implementing status of the curriculum and to compare the actual teaching content with the CODA 2-17 standard. The results show that there are a number of problems in implementing the Dental Hygiene courses among different universities. First, there is a significant inconsistence among schools in terms of course title, total credit, hours, the ratio for theory and practice, etc. In addition, there is a big gap between the actual content of Dental Hygiene courses and the essential/required content of CODA 2-17 standard. For instance, most of the Dental Hygiene programs in Korea cover the overall assessment stage content and some of implementation stage content. However, very few programs deal with the planning and evaluation stage content. To improve these problematic circumstance a number of suggestions were made. Developing the standardized curriculum for the Dental Hygiene program might be one of the major solutions. Next, the regular accreditation and/or assessment system for the Dental Hygiene program should be developed. This research can provide the basis for the need to assess and improve the Dental Hygiene curriculum.

건강도시사업 추진과 정책 과제 (Review and Prospective of the Heathy Cities in Korea)

  • Since 1996, the Health Promotion Programme spearheaded by the Korean Central Government has been actively developing and recently, the Healthy City Project led by the local autonomous entities have also been actively promoted. Healthy City is one in which the health and well-being of the citizens are given the utmost importance in the decision-making of the city. While the Health Promotion Programme focuses on changing the "health behavior" of the people, the Healthy City Project, a policy to improve the existing inequality of public health services, deals with more essential health factors and requires political support as well as a new organization. The Healthy City paradigm based on the New Public Health started in England and ever since the Healthy City Model Project spearheaded by the EURO WHO began in 1986, the Alliance for Healthy Cities centered in the West Pacific region supported by the WHO in Oct 2003 was inaugurated. 19 Korean cities are full members of the Alliance for Healthy Cities and 2 laboratories are associate members. The Ministry of Health and Welfare has held the Healthy City Forum consisting of related officials, experts and representatives of civic bodies on 6 occasions since Dec 2005. The need for adequate administrative and financial support from the Central Government to the local autonomous entities governing the Healthy Cities was raised. It is hoped that this Healthy City Project will bring about the improved health conditions of the people as well as promote the equality of the public health services.

한국의학교육의 새로운 과제: 불확실성이 큰 문제상황에 대처하는 능력의 강화 (New Challenges for Korean Medical Education: Enhancing Students' Abilities to Deal with Uncertain Ill-Defined Problems)

  • Over the last century, medical education in North America has evolved by identifying educational challenges within its own socio-cultural context and by appropriately responding to these challenges. A discipline-based curriculum, organ-system or integrated curriculum, problem-based curriculum, and competency-based curriculum are historical examples of the educational solutions that have been developed and refined to address specific educational challenges, such as students' lack of basic scientific knowledge, lack of integration between scientific knowledge and clinical practice, and lack of clinical practice. In contrast, Korean medical education has evolved with the influence of two forces: (1) the adoption of educational solutions developed in North America by pioneers who have identified urgent needs for medical education reform in Korea over the last three decades, and (2) the revitalization of Korean medical schools' curricula through medical education accreditation and national medical licensing examination. Despite this progressive evolution in Korean medical education, we contend that it faces two major challenges in order to advance to the next level. First, Korean medical education should identify its own problems in medical education and iteratively develop educational solutions within its own socio-cultural context. Secondly, to raise reflective doctors who have scientific knowledge and professional commitment to deal with different types of medical problems within a continuum from well-defined to ill-defined, medical education should develop innovative ways to provide students with a balanced spectrum of clinical problems, including uncertain, ill-defined problems.

대장암 수술 후 퇴원 환자에게 적용한 컴퓨터 기반 애니메이션 동영상 교육의 효과 (Effects of a Discharge Education Program using Computerized Animation Video for Post-operative Colon Cancer Patients)

  • Purpose: This study was to identify the effects of a nurse-led education program using computerized animation video for post-operative colon cancer patients. Methods: a total of 163 patients and 51 nurses were participated in this study. With a non-equivalent control group post-test design, patients were divided into three groups (77 got traditional education, 46 were applying brochure, 40 were watching video). Twelve-item animation video and brochure about the management after discharge for post-operative colon cancer patients were developed based on patient survey and the items of Korea Healthcare Accreditation. Results: The computerized video watching group had better satisfaction than the others, but there was no significant difference about comprehension. When video was applied, satisfaction, usefulness, application, and perceived patients' comprehension of nurses were all increased. Conclusion: This video education program was developed by nurses and it had a special thing for patient to access the same program even after discharge using the authorization system. It would be helpful for nurses to be more concentrated on the direct care for hospitalized patients as well as for patients to provide self-care at home. This program would be adjusted into more various diseases and settings.

자동차 기능 안전성(ISO26262)에 관한 EMC 관리계획 (Management Plan on EMC for Functional Safety of the ISO26262)

  • 자동차 전자 제어 장치의 확대 보급에 따라 관련 장치의 오동작으로 인해 발생하는 자동차 사고 및 인명 손실을 최소화하기 위해 ISO 26262가 제정되어 완성 차량 제작사는 물론 부품 공급사에 적용되고 있다. 이 규격에서는 자동차 전체 시스템을 대상으로 개발 초기부터 생산/폐기에 이르기까지 전체 생명주기에서의 안전 요구사항을 적용토록 요구하고 있으며, 전자파 적합성 분야도 중요한 검토 항목으로 규정되어 있다. 따라서 자동차의 설계, 제조, 검증, 사용, 유지보수기간 동안 각 단계별로 적용할 EFS(EMC for Functional Safety)에 대한 개발과 연구가 절실히 필요한 실정이다. 본 논문에서는 ISO26262의 적용에 따라 EFS를 어떻게 적용할 수 있는가를 검토하였다. 이러한 검토 결과를 적용하여 자동차의 기능 안전성 확보를 위해 EFS 평가를 강제 법규화하거나 또는 신차 안전도 평가(NCAP) 항목으로 확대 적용함으로써 제작사 스스로가 안전성 확보를 위한 절차를 수행하도록 규정할 필요가 있다.

국내 학부 보건관리학과의 교육과정 분석연구: 취득면허·자격과의 관계를 중심으로 (Curriculum Analysis on Health Management Schools in Republic of Korea: Focusing on Relationship with Licence and Certification)

  • Background: This study aims to conduct curriculum analysis on health management schools focusing on relationship with licence and certification in Republic of Korea. Methods: Possible employment field, licence and certification as well as curriculum were collected from the home page of 30 health management schools. The subjects and credits of curriculum were analyzed using descriptive statistics. Main subjects by areas were drew using categorization and ranking within qualitative methods. Comparative analysis was conducted for checking relationship between main subject and possible employment field, licence and certification. Results: First, major employment fields after graduation were public health officer, general hospital and clinic, and National Health Insurance Service. Possible licence and certificate were hospital administrator, medical recorder, health education specialist, and medical insurance specialist. Second, total graduate credits were 133.9 including 79.0 for major education, 30.5 for of general education, and 30.5 for elective courses. Third, main subjects were reviewed by areas including basic medicine, health management, hospital business & management, medical records & information, insurance billing & assessment, healthcare marketing & tourism, and health education. There were highest number of subjects on health education area among 8 categories. By subjects, many health management schools open health law, medical terminology, introduction to public health, and biostatistics. Relationship between main subjects and possible employment field, licence and certification in health management schools was strong. Conclusion: It is necessary to review curriculum and for improving educational quality in health management schools. Also, development of curriculum standards for courses in health administration and introduction of accreditation system can be considered.

자원순환사회 형성을 위한 "자원순환기본법"이 나아가야 할 방향 (A Review on the Direction of the Framework Act on Resource Circulation for Establishing a Resource Circulation Society)

  • 2016년 5월, 제19대의 마지막 정기 국회에서 "자원순환기본법"이 제정되었다. 본 법은 향후 우리나라의 자원순환 정책의 큰 방향성을 제시하여야 할 최상위의 기본법이므로 그 파급력을 고려하였을 때 법의 취지, 주요 내용, 정책적 방향성을 심도있게 분석하고 이해할 필요가 있다. 특히, 2018년 1월부터 본 법이 시행될 예정이므로 이 법의 원래 취지인 자원순환사회로의 전환을 효율적으로 지원할 수 있도록 법률 체계 및 내용을 제대로 갖추고 있는지 살펴볼 필요가 있다. 또한, 하위법령 제정 시 그 내용이 편향되지 않도록 이해관계자들의 적극적 참여를 통한 심도있는 협의가 이루어져야 할 것이며, 조항별 구체화된 법안들이 도출되어야 할 것이다. 따라서 본 연구에서는 자원순환기본법의 체계 및 주요내용 검토를 통해 문제점을 파악하고, 법률의 실효성을 극대화하기 위해 하위법령 제정과정에서의 주요 조항별 논점과 구체적 시행방향에 대해 검토, 제시하고자 한다.

보육교사 소진의 영향요인에 관한 혼합연구: 메타분석과 심층인터뷰를 중심으로 (Mix Research Regarding Influence Factors of Burnout of Child Care Teachers: Based on Meta-Analysis and In-depth Interview)

  • 본 연구는 보육교사의 소진에 영향을 미치는 요인에 대해 종합적이고 객관적인 결과를 도출하고, 그들의 경험을 심도 있게 파악함으로써 현장에서 보육교사가 겪는 소진에 대해 더욱 심층적으로 파악하는 것을 목적으로 한다. 이를 위해 메타분석과 심층인터뷰를 활용한 혼합연구방법을 수행하였다. 연구결과 보육교사의 소진에 가장 큰 영향을 주는 요인은 조직특성의 보호요인으로 나타났으며, 이에 대한 개입과 예방은 어린이집 조직의 근무환경을 개선하는 등 환경적 접근이 더 효과적임을 의미한다. 또한 심층인터뷰를 통해 13개의 주제와 28개의 세부주제가 발견되었는데 메타분석 결과에서 유의미하게 나온 대부분의 요인이 심층인터뷰를 통해 재확인되었다. 그 중 영향력이 가장 크게 나온 하위 요인은 심리적 요인의 자아존중감으로 나타났다. 이러한 결과를 바탕으로 보육교사의 소진을 감소시키고 보육서비스의 질적인 향상을 도모하기 위해 보육환경의 일원화, 보육교사 양성교육과정 및 자격기준 강화, 평가인증제도의 재검토 등을 제언하였다.

온라인 고등교육의 변화에 대한 단계별 고찰 (The Chronological Stages of Advanced Online Education)

  • 본 연구는 약 20여 년간 비약적인 성장을 이룬 우리나라 온라인 고등교육의 변화와 발전을 단계별로 분류하고, 각각의 특징을 분석 및 정리하였다. 동영상 콘텐츠와 기본적인 LMS에 초점을 두었던 도입기에서 출발하여, LMS 안에서 상호작용을 강화함으로써 교육의 질을 제고하기 위한 노력을 기울여 고등교육기관으로의 전환인가 및 최초의 원격대학원 인가를 이룬 성장기를 거쳤다. 성숙기에는 원격대학원이 증설되면서 온라인실시간수업·세미나 등이 활용되었고, 스마트폰의 도입과 확산에 따라 스마트러닝의 기초도 다져졌다. 그러나 코로나19 팬데믹으로 비대면 수업방식의 전반적이고 갑작스런 도입에 따라 온라인 고등교육은 급격한 확산과 함께 교육의 질 제고를 위한 다양한 문제에 직면하게 되었다. 이런 상황에서 지금까지의 흐름을 단계별로 분석하고 검토함으로써 현재의 대전환기가 직면한 문제들은 무엇이며, 미래의 발전을 위해 무엇을 해결해야할 것인지 등을 논의하였다.

  • The purpose of this study is to clarify the background of the controversial attempt to establish a new public medical school linked to compulsory service as a means of strengthening public healthcare in Korea, and to raise anticipated problems with possible solutions. In Korea, healthcare is predominantly provided by the private sector focused on medical care, rather than public healthcare, even under the national health insurance system. The government has been mainly in charge of public health and unmet medical services from a residual perspective, but health inequalities still exist. To resolve this issue, the government created the concept of public health and medical service (PHMS) from a universal perspective and tried to strengthen the infrastructure of public healthcare and to foster core PHMS doctors by establishing a new public medical school linked to compulsory service in medically vulnerable areas. This study investigated the reality and concept of the new public medical school planned by the government, and identified problems such as the possibility of obtaining accreditation and evaluation before its establishment, the side effects of dividing doctors' roles, the waste of huge amounts of resources, and insensitive policies. In conclusion, in order to resolve health inequalities in Korea, we need to train doctors through medical school education that strengthens the social responsibility of doctors along with strengthening public healthcare infrastructure, and to provide a better environment for doctors working in medically vulnerable areas through sophisticated policies.
