Reports of rampant cross-site scripting (XSS) vulnerabilities raise growing concerns on the effectiveness of current Static Analysis Security Testing (SAST) tools as an internet security device. Attentive to these concerns, this study aims to examine seven open-source SAST tools in order to account for their capabilities in detecting XSS vulnerabilities in PHP applications and to determine their performance in terms of effectiveness and analysis runtime. The representative tools - categorized as either text-based or graph-based analysis tools - were all test-run using real-world PHP applications with known XSS vulnerabilities. The collected vulnerability detection reports of each tool were analyzed with the aid of PhpStorm's data flow analyzer. It is observed that the detection rates of the tools calculated from the total vulnerabilities in the applications can be as high as 0.968 and as low as 0.006. Furthermore, the tools took an average of less than a minute to complete an analysis. Notably, their runtime is independent of their analysis type.
This paper presents a two-stage market auction model in a pool-based electricity market, which explicitly takes into account the system network security. The security network-constrained market auction model considers the use of corrective control to yield economically efficient actions in the post-contingency state, while ensuring a certain security level. Under this framework, the proposed model shows not only for quantifying the correlation between secure system operation and efficient market operation, but also for providing transparent information on the pricing system security for market participants. The two-stage market auction procedure is formulated using Benders decomposition (BD). In the first stage, the market participants bid in the market for maximizing their profit, and the independent system operator (ISO) clears the market based on social welfare maximization. System network constraints incorporating post-contingency control actions are described in the second stage of the market auction procedure. The market solutions, along with the BD, yield nodal spot prices (NSPs) and nodal congestion prices (NCPs) as byproducts of the proposed two-stage market auction model. Two benchmark systems are used to test and demonstrate the effectiveness of the proposed model.

As a current popular technology, the blockchain has a serious issue: the private key cannot be retrieved due to force majeure. Since the outcome of the blockchain-based Bitcoin, there have been many occurrences of the users who lost or forgot their private keys and could not retrieve their token wallets, and it may cause the permanent loss of their corresponding blockchain accounts, resulting in irreparable losses for the users. We propose a recoverable private key scheme for consortium blockchain based on the verifiable secret sharing which can enable the user's private key in the consortium blockchain to be securely recovered through a verifiable secret sharing method. In our secret sharing scheme, users use the biometric keys to encrypt shares, and the preset committer peers in the consortium blockchain act as the participants to store the users' private key shares. Due to the particularity of the biometric key, only the user can complete the correct secret recovery. Our comparisons with the existing mnemonic systems or the multi-signature schemes have shown that our scheme can allow users to recover their private keys without storing the passwords accurately. Hence, our scheme can improve the account security and recoverability of the data-sharing systems across physical and virtual platforms that use blockchain technology.
The Kakao bank can be conveniently used if there are only smartphones, identity cards, and bank accounts. However, a few days before the inauguration of Kakao Bank, the company opened an account for receiving loans from other people. In order to avoid such cases, the financial transactions will be detected if the SDS is withdrawn at a short interval of time. The detection system of FDS has four functions which are monitoring and auditing, collection, analysis, and response. There are security problems of the cocoa banks in various directions. The Kakao bank has a way to respond to the problem using FDS.: Keywords : Cocoa bank, security issues, information protection, FDS

OTP (One Time Password) is widely used for protecting accounts on Internet banking, portal services and online game services in Korea. OTP is very strong method for enforcing account security but there are several ways for exploiting vulnerabilities caused by implementation errors. These attacks can work because of the weakness from OTP enabled system's vulnerabilities, not for OTP's algorithm itself. In this paper, we present the known attack scenarios such as MITM (Man-in-the-Middle) attack and various reverse engineering techniques; also, we show the test result of the attacks and countermeasures for these attacks.

This paper presents result of researching personal information exposure of Korean twitter and facebook users. Personally identifiable information such as e-mail and phone numer is exposed in the accounts less than 1%. However there are many cases that a person is identified by non personally identifiable information. For example, 350 thousands accounts are distinguished with other accounts because its name is unique. Using combination of information such as name and high school, we can distinguish 2.97 millions accounts. We also found 170 thousands account pairs that are candidate of one users' own account. Linkability between two accounts in two different domains means that the person is identified. Currently, only personally identifiable information is protected by policy. This paper shows that the policy has limited effects under the circumstances that a person can be identified by non personally identifiable information and the account linking is possible.

A forecast foresight of the conditions for the development of educational affairs in the Information Society of Ukraine is presented, taking into account changes in the technique, technologies, and the socio-social sphere. Unresolved problems in Ukraine regarding the modernization and improvement of the education system by means of informatization are highlighted. The need for further improvement of Ukrainian education by means of informatization is noted. Formulated the main goal of future education. The necessary conditions for the successful development of future education are highlighted. The role and place of the key figure of the teacher in the education of the future is determined. The article highlights the theoretical and philosophical foundations of professional subjectivity of the future specialist. Recently, the world's pedagogical thought has increasingly focused on how to build an educational process so that it brings a sense of happiness to all its participants. It is believed that this is a new management philosophy in general, although its origins are in ancient Greek sources, which claim that only a happy life has meaning and value. It is found out that the professional subjectivity of a specialist is an important professionally significant quality of the individual, which provides a purposeful and optimal implementation of their mental, personal resources for solving professional and life problems, which is manifested in the desire for self-definition, self-determination, self-regulation and self-improvement in professional activities taking into account the information society. The structure of this phenomenon is shown.

Intelligent Character Recognition System for Account Payable (ICRS AP) Automation represents the process of capturing text from scanned invoices and extracting the key fields from invoices and storing the captured fields into properly structured document format. ICRS plays a very critical role in invoice data streamlining, we are interested in data like Vendor Name, Purchase Order Number, Due Date, Total Amount, Payee Name, etc. As companies attempt to cut costs and upgrade their processes, accounts payable (A/P) is an example of a paper-intensive procedure. Invoice processing is a possible candidate for digitization. Most of the companies dealing with an enormous number of invoices, these manual invoice matching procedures start to show their limitations. Receiving a paper invoice and matching it to a purchase order (PO) and general ledger (GL) code can be difficult for businesses. Lack of automation leads to more serious company issues such as accruals for financial close, excessive labor costs, and a lack of insight into corporate expenditures. The proposed system offers tighter control on their invoice processing to make a better and more appropriate decision. AP automation solutions provide tighter controls, quicker clearances, smart payments, and real-time access to transactional data, allowing financial managers to make better and wiser decisions for the bottom line of their organizations. An Intelligent Character Recognition System for AP Automation is a process of extricating fields like Vendor Name, Purchase Order Number, Due Date, Total Amount, Payee Name, etc. based on their x-axis and y-axis position coordinates.

The methods of electronic financial fraud continue to evolve. Various research and countermeasures have been proposed to counter this problem, but it is difficult to eradicate it. The purpose of this study is to analyze the risk of electronic financial fraud through MS Threat Risk Modeling and to propose the countermeasures against the electronic financial fraud. As a result of the analysis, it is confirmed that despite the difference of authentication methods, there is a high risk of pharming, and it is difficult to prevent attack by using only additional authentication means, device security or user authentication based security system. Therefore, this study suggests the introduction of preventive measures such as readjustment of transaction limit by security means, account authentication, and additional physical security measures. It also suggests the establishment and implementation of a comprehensive electronic financial fraud prevention policy through linkage of electronic fraud prevention system and improvement of public relations and user awareness.

Security assessment is an indispensable process for a secure network, and appropriate performance indicators must be present to manage risks. The most widely used quantitative indicator is CVSS. CVSS has a problem that it cannot consider context in terms of subjectivity, complexity of interpretation, and security risks. To compensate for these problems, we propose indicators that itemize and quantify four things: attackers, threats, responses, and assets, taking into account the security context of ISO/IEC 15408 documents. Vulnerabilities discovered through network scanning can be mapped to MITREATT&CK's technology by the connection between weaknesses and attack patterns (CAPEC). We use MITREATT&CK's Groups, Tactic, and Mitigations to produce consistent and intuitive scores. Accordingly, it is expected that security evaluation managers will have a positive impact on strengthening security such as corporate networks by expanding the range of choices among security indicators from various perspectives.
