Recently, researchers show growing interest on product quality characteristic dependence and designing acceptance sampling plans under the quality dependence. This research intends to resolve a few theoretical and practical questions for better application of acceptance sampling when the quality characteristic of product items exhibits a statistical dependence and samples are inspected according to the production order. In this research, a mathematical programming model is developed for the economic modeling of sampling plans based on two evaluation criteria : the average outgoing quality(AOQ) and the average total inspection cost. An efficient solution procedure is then proposed using the functional structure of the two evaluation criteria and the procedure is numerically illustrated.

In this paper, a new group sampling plan for the lot acceptance is proposed for the time truncated life test, which can be utilized when multi-item testers are implemented. The design parameters are found using the two-point approach such that the producer's and consumer's risks are satisfied simultaneously at the acceptable reliability level and the lot tolerance reliability level, respectively. The case of Weibull distribution is described to illustrate the procedure that can be used when the quality level is expressed by a multiple of the specified life. The advantage of the proposed plan is demonstrated by comparing with the existing plan in terms of the sample size required. The tables are constructed and some examples are given to illustrate the procedure developed here.

A Bayesian acceptance sampling plan for limited failure populations are developed. We consider a situation where defective products have short lifetimes and non-defective ones never fail during the technological life of the products. An acceptance criterion which guarantees the out going quality of accepted products is derived using the prior information on the quality of lots submitted for inspection. Numerical examples are provided.

Progressively censored variables sampling plans are proposed for the lot acceptance of parts whose life follows Weibull distribution with known shape parameter. Progressive type-II censoring gives us not only time to failure but also degradation information. So, one can construct more flexible and more cost effective sampling plans. Design parameters of our sampling plan are determined by using the usual two-point approach.

Various linear cost models have been proposed that can be used to determine a sampling plan by attributes. This paper is concerned with this sampling cost model when the probability that the number of nonconforming item is smaller than the break-even quality level is known. In addition to this situation, a constraint by AOQL is considered. Under these conditions, optimal sampling plan which minimize the average cost per lot is suggested.

This study is the positive one about the influence which the characteristics of medical consumers' perceived words-transmission information exercises on its acceptance level and its activities. The aim of this study was to investigate how the characteristics-reliability of perceived information, its directionity, and its availability-had an influence on the acceptance level and activities of words-transmission information. For the purpose of that aim, the positive research by questionnaire was applied. In addition, to collect necessary data, investigation was performed about 20 days from July 1st, 1938 to July 20th, 1938. As for the respondents' sampling in sample planning, the method of Simple Random Sampling was used laying stress on patients or their responsible person aged over 20s in second and third medical institutions. And the collected sample were 230 people. Of these, However, the number of sample used actually for this study analysis was 211 except 19 people who responded unfaithfully. The analysis of the data collected by the abovesaid investigation used SPSS/PC statistical package. The study result to have proved the hypothesis by experiment is as follows. First, as the result of having analysed the influence relations on the acceptance level and activities of words-transmission information among the factors of reliability about medical consumers' perceived information, I found that 'specialty' had an affirmative effect and there was a significant effect relations. Second, as the result of having made a multi-regression analysis of the effect relations on the acceptance level and activities of words-transmission information of the factors of directionity on medical consumers' perceived information, 'reliablity' was found as having a significant effect on the acceptance of words-transmission information. Third, 'importantness' was revealed as having a significant effect on the words-transmission activities in the acceptance level and activities of words-transmission information among the factors of reliability on medical consumers' perceived information. Fourth. for medical consumers there was a statistical correlation between the acceptance level and activities of words-transmission information. Therefore, words-transmission communication will be very useful for hospital promotion programs having a limited advertising ability in business. Especially, I suggest that a person in charge of his/her hospital marketing should not only excavate a source of words-transmission communication in order to arrive effectively at sampling market, but also use a marketing mix suitable to that The test result shows that the unsatisfied patients over their hospital treatment tend to be more stronger in transmitting words to the other positive minded patients than the satisfied ones. Therefore, all relating representatives in hospital should concentrate their energies on decreasing or eliminating these unwanted results.

A sampling plan is presented for situations where sampling inspection is based on the quality characteristic of interest and items in rejected lots are screened based on a correlated variable. A cost model is constructed which involves the costs of misclassification errors, sampling and screening inspections. A method of finding optimal values of sample size, acceptance number and cutoff value on the correlated variable is presented, and numerical studies are given.

Three types of warranty policies are considered. They are (1) free warranty policy for repairable products, (2) free warranty policy for nonrepairable products, and (3) rebate warranty policy. Under each warranty policy, a single sampling attribute plan with non-destructive testing is considered. A sampling plan is characterized by the sample size and the acceptance number. For each case, characteristics of an optimum sampling plan are discussed and determined, which minimize the warranty cost and the corresponding quality control cost within the assigned producer's risk and consumer's risk.

A procedure for constructing a double sampling plan with zero acceptance number for the first sample whose combined sample size does nat exceed that of the given single or double sampling plan is studied. Using this procedure a double sampling system is proposed that can be used in place of MIL-STD-105D system when the quality history is good, and its composite quality characteristics are tabulated and compared with those of MIL-STD-105D system. The study reveals that composite ASN's of the proposed double sampling system are considerably smaller than those of corresponding MIL-STD-105D system with no appreciable changes in other composite quality characteristics. The procedure is also applied to K SA 3102 plans with similar results. A cost model that can be used in comparing a given single sampling plan with the proposed double sampling plan is also developed.
