중성빔 입사장치에서 빔형성 구조의 입자모사 모형 (Particle Simulation Modelling of a Beam Forming Structure in Negative-Ion-Based Neutral Beam Injector)

  • 중성입자입사 장치의 효율적인 빔형성 구조를 목적으로 정전기장 내에서 하전 입자의 움직임을 시간의 흐름에 따라 계산해 볼 수 있는 프로그램을 만들어 입자 모사 모형을 찾았다. 가속관 내의 입자의 움직임은 일정 시간 간격으로 계산하였고 전위는 유한차분법에 의해 Poisson 방정식에서 구하였다. 행렬식은 반복해법인 successive overrelaxation법을 사용하였고 전하밀도와 임자에 미치는 전기장의 힘을 구할 때는 cloud-in-cell모델을 사용하였다. 이 전자계산 코드를 사용하여 가속관 내 전극의 여러 조건들을 변화시켜가면서 빔형성 구조의 최적 설계를 수행하였다. 중성자 입사 장치의 가속관에서 가속 감속-전극간의 간격변화, 감속전극의 두께 변화, 가속 전극의 형태변화 등을 통하여 이들이 빔의 모양에 끼치는 영향을 조사하여 몇 가지 경우에 있어서 일정한 시간 간격으로 나타나는 입자들의 움직임을 예시하였다. 이 입자 모사모형을 통하여 가속전극의 형태가 빔 퍼짐에 가장 주요한 역할을 하는 것을 알았다.

Feeder Cable Assembly의 가속수명시험법 개발 (Test methodology of acceleration life test on feeder cable assembly)

  • Feeder cable assembly는 정보통신용 자동차부품이다 기능을 제대로 하지 않으면 자동차의 제어와 안전에 큰 문제가 발생한다. 가속수명시험은 시험시간을 단축할 목적으로 짧은 시간에 잠재적인 고장모드와 고장을 찾기 위하여 기속조건(스트레스, 스트레인, 온도 등)에서 실험을 실시하는 것이다. 고장원인은 부품의 품질과, 고장으로 유도하는 공정, 디자인에 의해 발생하는 결함이다. 열충격은 온도차에 의하여 부품의 열팽창 정도가 다른 것에 기인한다. 열충격시험은 부품이 급격한 온도차를 견디는 능력을 실험하는 것이다. 본 연구에서는 가속시험의 coffin-manson 식을 이용하여 정상조건(최고온도 $80^{\circ}C$, 최저온도 $-40^{\circ}C$)과 가속조건(최고온도 $120^{\circ}C$, 최저온도 $-60^{\circ}C$)을 이용하여 가속계수를 계산하여 2.25 값을 얻었다. 정상조건에서 1,000 사이클 실험이 가속조건에서 444 사이클 실험만하여도 됨을 알 수 있었다. Bx 수명 식을 이용하여 가속조건에서 시료가 5개, B0.04%.10years 조건에서 747 사이클 결과를 얻었다. 정상조건에서 1,000 사이클, 가속조건에서 747 사이클 실험한 feeder cable assembly 시료 5개를 각각 네크워크 분석기를 이용하여 성능시험을 실시하고, 와이블분포의 모수분포값을 비교한 결과 가속이 잘 되었음을 알 수 있었다. 동등한 신뢰도에서 가속실험을 통하여 시험시간을 1/4 정도 단축할 수 있었다.

NARX 신경망을 이용한 철도 궤도틀림 추정 (Estimation of track irregularity using NARX neural network)

  • Due to high-speed of trains, the track deformation increases rapidly and may lead to track irregularities causing the track stability problem. To secure the track stability, the continual inspection on track irregularities is required. The paper presents a methodology for identifying track irregularity using the NARX neural network considering non-linearity in the train structural system. A simulation study has been carried out to examine the proposed method. Acceleration time history data measured at a bogie were re-sampled to every 0.25m track irregularity. In the simulation study, two sets of measured data were simulated. The second data set was obtained by a train with 10% more mass than the one for the first data set. The first set of simulated data was used to train the series-parallel mode of NARX neural network. Then, the track irregularities at the second time period are identified by using the measured acceleration data. The closeness of the identified track irregularity to the actual one is evaluated by PSD and RMSE.

GPU 가속화를 통한 이미지 특징점 기반 RGB-D 3차원 SLAM (Image Feature-Based Real-Time RGB-D 3D SLAM with GPU Acceleration)

  • This paper proposes an image feature-based real-time RGB-D (Red-Green-Blue Depth) 3D SLAM (Simultaneous Localization and Mapping) system. RGB-D data from Kinect style sensors contain a 2D image and per-pixel depth information. 6-DOF (Degree-of-Freedom) visual odometry is obtained through the 3D-RANSAC (RANdom SAmple Consensus) algorithm with 2D image features and depth data. For speed up extraction of features, parallel computation is performed with GPU acceleration. After a feature manager detects a loop closure, a graph-based SLAM algorithm optimizes trajectory of the sensor and builds a 3D point cloud based map.

  • Human activity recognition has been studied using various sensors and algorithms. Human activity recognition can be divided into sensor based and vision based on the method. In this paper, we proposed an activity recognition system using acceleration sensor and gyroscope sensor in smartphone among sensor based methods. We used Deep Belief Network (DBN), which is one of the most popular deep learning methods, to improve an accuracy of human activity recognition. DBN uses the entire input set as a common input. However, because of the characteristics of different time window depending on the type of human activity, the RBMs, which is a component of DBN, are configured hierarchically by combining them from different time windows. As a result of applying to real data, The proposed human activity recognition system showed stable precision.

  • According to our previous study, it is confirmed that the Petrov-Galerkin natural element method (PGNEM) completely resolves the numerical integration inaccuracy in the conventional Bubnov-Galerkin natural element method (BG-NEM). This paper is an extension of PG-NEM to two-dimensional nonlinear dynamic problem. For the analysis, a constant average acceleration method and a linearized total Lagrangian formulation is introduced with the PG-NEM. At every time step, the grid points are updated and the shape functions are reproduced from the relocated nodal distribution. This process enables the PG-NEM to provide more accurate and robust approximations. The representative numerical experiments performed by the test Fortran program, and the numerical results confirmed that the PG-NEM effectively and accurately approximates the nonlinear dynamic problem.

터보 과급 디젤 기관의 동특성에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Dynamic Characteristics of a Turbocharged Diesel Engine)

  • This study investigates the response characteristics of a four-cylinder four-stroke turbocharged diesel engine by using computer simulation and experiments when a rapid acceleration is applied to the fuelpump rack. In the theoretical analysis, linearization method is used to avoid the difficulty on the complex nonlinear functions. Comppressor exit pressure, pressure and temperature of turbine inlet, and turbocharger speed are chosen as the independent variables of transfer functions which represent the dynamic characteristics of the turbocharger system, and expressed as the functions with respect to the time. Experiments on the same eigine system are also carried out to prove the validity of theoretical study. Further, this study carried an experiment for improving transient response performance by injecting air into the inlet manifold under the rapid accelerating conditions. The effects of air injection on the response performances are also represented at varying conditions such as injection pressure, injection period, accelerating rate, accelerating time, engine speed and load.

  • Determination of navigation variables (latitude, longitude, and altitude) near the earth's surface is termed 'Terrestrial Navigation'. The quantities that are measured inertially are the total acceleration (or the integral fo this acceleration over a fixed time interval) and the total angular rate (or the integral of this angular rate over the same time interval). These measurements when suitably compensated can be manipulated to yield the navigation variables. Hence, it is essential that the initial values of position, orientation and velocity are accurately set up during the initial alignment process. Initial alignment of gimballed inertial navigation system ( GINS) is accomplished by gyrocompassing techniques. These cannot be used, in the case of strapdown inertial navigation system(SDINS), where the inertial instruments are directly strapped down to a vehicle frame. The basic objective of this paper is the development of digital method for the determination of the initial axes erection of a SDINS from vibration and sway currupted data on the launch pad.

직교좌표공간에서의 스플라인을 이용한 산업용 로봇의 궤적 생성 방법 (Trajectory Planning of Industrial Robot using Spline Method in Task Space)

  • Robot usually requires spline motion to move through multiple knots. In this paper, catmull-rom spline method is applied to the trajectory planning of industrial robot in task space. Centripetal catmull-rom is selected to avoid self-intersection and slow motion which can be occurred in uniform and chordal spline. The method to set two control points are proposed to satisfy velocity conditions of initial and final knots. To optimize robot motion, time scaling method is presented to minimize margin between real robot value and maximum value in velocity and acceleration. The simulation results show that the proposed methods are applied to trajectory planning and robot can follow the planned trajectory while robot motion does not exceed maximum value of velocity and acceleration.

Stocker 시스템의 동작패턴에 대한 비접촉 전원장치의 특성에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Characteristic of Contactless Power Supply System for Operation Pattern of Stocker System)

  • In this paper, material handing cleanroom stocker system for thin film solar cell line of photovoltaic industry and liquid crystal display line of flat panel display industry was selected for the study. Optimum solution for stocker system's CPS(Contactless Power Supply) is approached by changing the motion pattern, optimizing design & production, and analyzing characteristics of the power system. As a result, acceleration time of X-Axis changed from 3 sec to 4 sec, changed the input characteristic of CPS within approximately 11[kW]. This result shows that extending acceleration time of the X-Axis in Stocker Crane's motion pattern can reduce the capacity of the CPS, thus saving the manufacturing cost.
