호텔 고객 접점 종업원의 서비스 재량 행위와 신뢰 경영간의 관계에 관한 연구 (Research on the Relationship between the Service Discretion Acts of Customer-encountering Employees and Trust Management)

  • This research has attempted to asses the relationship between trust management, the element of service discretion act, and the quality of the service. The research model and assumption have been set up based on such a theoretical research and the demonstrative analysis of the customer-encountering employees of five-star hotels in Seoul. The results of the study are as follows; First, the rationalization of management can be achieved by improving the service through having a command of trust management as a management strategy. Second, there has been significant differences between variables such as the degree of importance and accomplishment of trust management. And it tells us that it is necessary to improve the range of service discretion acts up to the level where the difference between importance and accomplishment is not in existence. Third, the variable changes according to demographic characteristics show us the necessity of providing individualized education by recognizing the differences among groups. Fourth, the trust management has a considerable effect on the quality of the service, and this indicates that the quality of the service can be improved through expanding the range of service discretion acts of customer-encountering employees.

간호사의 셀프리더십과 직무만족, 개인성과간의 관계 (The Relationship of Self-leadership, Job Satisfaction, and Perceived Outcome in Nurses)

  • Purpose: The purpose of this study was to identify the relationship among self-leadership, job satisfaction, and perceived outcome in nurses. Method: The subjects of study were nurses as a population who were working for the 2 of university hospitals which have over 500 beds in Kyong Ki Province as well as who have been working for over 6 months. The data was collected by questionnaires from 217 nurses and analyzed using descriptive statistics, pearson correlation coefficient, and multiple regression on SPSS 10. 0 version. Results: The degree of Self-leadership was 3.38 out of 5 as a mean point. There was a significant difference in self-leadership according to age, level of education, working department, and position. There was a significant positive correlation between self-relationship and job satisfaction, self-relationship and perceived outcome, and job satisfaction and perceived outcome. The stepwise multiple regression analysis revealed that the most powerful predictor of job satisfaction and perceived outcome was constructive thinking. Conclusion: In conclusion, the result was obtained that self-leadership is much correlated with job-satisfaction of nurse and outcome of nursing practice. Therefore, as a way to promote efficiency of nursing organization, the constant study about self-leadership with the various aspects is needed focusing on self-management and inner motivation as a new leadership paradigm.

노인요양시설의 질 관리 활동에 영향을 주는 구조적 요인 분석 (Structural Factors Influencing the Quality Management Activities in Nursing Homes)

  • Purpose: Nursing home quality indicators have been focused widely on result outcomes, not for the environment in that quality of service are delivered, This study aimed to examine structural factors influencing quality management activities in nursing homes. Method: Sample was 170 nursing homes responded to the survey questionnaire which was distributed to the 543 nursing homes nation-wide, Data were collected on structural characteristics, types of services, and quality management activities, Data were analyzed with the descriptive statistics, Pearson correlations, and multiple regression. Result: Most of the nursing homes were operated as free of charge by the social welfare ownership. Average number of residents was 52.1 with severe and mild dementia and bedridden status, In terms of quality management activities, 34% of the sample had CQI committee that focused their activities on services delivery process, performance appraisal, record keeping regularly. 30.6% of quality management activities were accounted for by the number of residents with dementia, the ratio of RN to residents, rehabilitation services, and social wefare services in nursing homes. Conclusion: We recommend that more comprehensive quality management activities should be developed as process quality indicators in conjunction with the outcome indicators.

  • Due to the development of social networks and smartphones, many different kinds of issues have emerged in business and society. By reflecting these trends, social network sites have appeared and they are recognized as the new concept of sites. The major feature of the social network sites is that the social relationship had been taken to the online space. Social network sites support the formation of a network and offer users the relationship between users offline as well as online. Based on the features mentioned above, users enjoy the benefits using social network sites. These social network sites in the enterprise can be used to form relationships with customers. This study identified the influencing factors as relational benefits and social influence on relationship commitment in social network sites. In addition, we analyzed that how the relationship commitment between users affects user loyalty after their using social network sites. We presented empirical results by utilizing structural equation model with 244 respondents and the significant implications for the academy and the practice with discussions.

간호학생이 지각한 자신의 리더십 유형과 임파워먼트의 관계 (The Relationship Between Leadership Styles and Empowerment of Nursing Students)

  • Purpose: The Purpose of this study was to identify the relationship between leadership styles and empowerment of nursing students. Method: The subjects were 386 nursing students who were in college and university. The data were collected from July 26 to September 18, 2004 by the structured questionnaires. For data analysis, descriptive statistics, Pearson correlation coefficient, t-tets and ANOVA with SAS package were used. Results: Transformational leadership showed a significant difference according to school career, present grade, interpersonal relations, admission motive, satisfaction degree for nursing, satisfaction degree for practice, meaning on nursing job and transactional leadership showed a significant difference according to last session study score, satisfaction degree for nursing. Empowerment showed a significant difference according to school career, present grade, interpersonal relations, satisfaction degree for nursing, satisfaction degree for practice, meaning on nursing job. Charisma, intellectual stimulation, individual consideration and contingent reward perceived by nursing students were positively related to empowerment. Management by exception perceived by nursing students was negatively related to empowerment. Conclusion: The result of this study may be helpful in empowerment improvement of nursing students.

소방공무원의 신경증 성격특성과 직무 스트레스와의 관계: 지각된 평가적 지지의 매개 효과 (The Mediating Effect of Perceived Appraisal Support on the Relationship between Neuroticism and Occupational Stress in Firefighters)

  • Purpose: The purpose of this study was to investigate the mediating effect of perceived appraisal support between neuroticism and occupational stress in firefighters. Methods: The subjects of this study were 156 firefighters who worked at three fire stations in G province in Korea. The collected data were analyzed by t-test, ANOVA, and multiple regression analysis using Baron and Kenny's method for mediation. Results: There were significant relationships between neuroticism and perceived appraisal support (r=.30, p<.001), neuroticism and occupational stress (r=.42, p<.001), and perceived appraisal support and occupational stress (r=.36, p<.001). Perceived appraisal support showed partial mediating effects in the relationship between neuroticism and occupational stress. Conclusion: The impact of neuroticism in firefighters was mediated by perceived appraisal support for occupational stress. This suggests that strategies for enhancing perceived appraisal support in fire fighters should be considered when developing neuroticism management interventions for decreasing their occupational stress.

임상치과위생사의 포커싱적 태도가 직무수행능력에 미치는 영향 (The effect of focusing manner on job performance by clinical dental hygienists)

  • This study was undertaken to confirm the relationship between the manner of focus and job performance of clinical dental hygienists. A survey was conducted, and the results of the survey were analyzed using multiple regression analysis. As a result, in the correlation between job performance ability and focusing manner and appreciation of the experience process, which are sub-factors of job performance ability and focusing manner, r=.161 (p<0.1) and appropriate distance r=.229 (p<0.1) indicated a positive (+) correlation. Multiple regression analysis revealed that the factors that have the greatest influence on job performance are type of workplace (β=-0.381), focusing attitude (β=0.166), marital status (β=-0.156), and age (β=0.152). Therefore, by confirming the relationship between focusing and job performance ability, we intend to provide the basic data necessary to prepare measures to improve dental hospital management and job performance.

관계효익이 관계 질에 미치는 영향에 관한 연구 (A Study on Relational Benefits Affecting Relationship Quality)

  • The purpose of this study is to investigate relational benefits affecting the relationship quality and the existence of differences to which relational benefits are most important to the customers across the type of services that customer buys and customer's relationship orientation in how they orientate their relationships with service firms. The results of this study are summarized as follows: First, all relational benefits, economic, social, psychological, functional benefits, is related the relationship quality. Second, There is a difference in the perceived relative importance of relational benefits that customers will lead to the establishment of a long-term relationship across the type of service. The more service is customized, the less economic benefits affect relationship quality and the more psychological benefits affect relationship quality. however there isn't a difference in the effect of functional benefits on relationship quality across the types of service, functional benefits are a important benefits both situations. Third, There is a difference in the perceived relative importance of relational benefits that customer will lead to the establishment of a long-term relationship across customers. The more customers orientate their relationships with service firms, the more psychological benefits affect relationship quality. The less customers orientate their relationships with service firms, the more economic and functional benefits affect relationship quality. However there isn't a difference in the effect of social benefits on relationship quality across customers. In addition to, relationship orientation is related to demographic facets such as sex-type, age and income. Male is higher relationship orientation than female. The more customers are older, the more they orientate their relationships with service firms and the more customers have income, the more they orientate their relationships with service firms.

간호 관리자의 변혁적, 거래적 리더십과 관련변인과의 관계 (The Relationship Between Leadership Styles of Nurse Managers and Related Variables)

  • The Purpose of this study was to identify the relationship between leadership style of nurse managers and related variables and to provide the basic data for developing strategies of transformational, transactional leadership study. The subjects were 300 nurses and 10 head nurses were working at the 2 general hospitals in seoul. The data were collected from July 6 to July 14, 2001 by the structured questionnaires. For data analysis, descriptive statistics, Pearson correlation coefficient, and stepwise multiple regression with SAS package were used. The results of this study were as follows : 1. The score of the nurse managers' transformational leadership perceived by surbodinates' were higher than that of the nurse managers' transactional leadership. Among 5 subdimensions of the leadership styles perceived by surbodinates', the scores of 'charisma' and 'intellectual stimulation' were highest and 'management by exception' were lowest. 2. 'charisma' 'intellectual stimulation', 'individual consideration' and 'contingent reward' were positively related to all of variables except 'turnover intention'. 'Management by exception' was negatively related to all of variables and was positively related to 'turnover intention'. 3. As a result of regression analysis, leadership styles effect on 'leadership effectiveness', 'turnover intention', 'job satisfaction', 'empowerment', 'organizational commitment', 'autonomy', 'job involvement' in turn. The determinants of 'job satisfaction', 'autonomy', 'leadership effectiveness' were 'charisma' of transformational leadership and the determinants of 'organizational commitment', 'job involvement', 'empowerment' were 'intellectual stimulation' of transformational leadership.

간호사의 임파워먼트와 직무만족이 간호업무성과에 미치는 영향 (Effects of Empowerment and Job Satisfaction on Nursing Performance of Clinical Nurses)

  • Purpose: This study was conducted to identify factors that affect nursing performance; Those factors are personal characteristics, sub-categories of empowerment and job satisfaction of clinical nurses. Methods: Data were collected from November 24, 2012 to March 11, 2013, and participants were 451 hospital nurses in 6 hospitals. Descriptive statistics, t-test, one-way ANOVA, Pearson correlation coefficient, and stepwise multiple regression were used for data analysis. Results: Nurses who were older, married, highly educated, in the position of charge nurse, and with longer clinical careers showed relatively higher empowerment, higher job satisfaction, and higher nursing performance than others. Also, there were strong correlations between nursing performance and empowerment (r=.576)/job satisfaction (r=.617). Factors predicted nursing performance were relationship with coworkers (${\beta}=.398$), duty (${\beta}=.181$), promotion system (${\beta}=.134$), and turnover intention (${\beta}=-.109$). Factors predicting job satisfaction were competency of empowerment (${\beta}=.249$), and clinical career (${\beta}=.151$). These 6 factors explained 55.2% of the variance in nursing performance (F=93.37, <.001). Conclusion: Regarding human resource management, relationship with co-workers is a changeable factor. Therefore nursing organizations should apply these factors in human resource management to enhance nursing performance and achieve organizational goals.
