The survey was conducted self-report questionnaire. The data collection period was form April to November 2018. Participants were 144 registered nurses working currently under academic credit bank system. Collected data were analyzed using SPSS/WIN 24.0. Learning outcomes had a positive correlation with self-determination and learning commitment. learning commitment. Self-determination was positively correlated learning commitment. Factors affecting learning outcomes included self-determination and learning commitment. And self-determination and learning commitment accounted for 32.1% of the variance in learning outcomes. Therefore, developing learning outcomes support for improving self-determination and learning commitment. Future research will be needed to clarify the effects of learning outcomes promotion program on self-determination and learning commitment.

  • The effect of weather on disease was investigated based on results reported in academic papers. Weather-sensitive disease was selected by analyzing the frequency distributions of diseases and correlations between diseases and meteorological factors (e.g., temperature, humidity, pressure, and wind speed). Correlations between disease and meteorological factors were most frequently reported for myocardial infarction (MI) (28%) followed by chronic ischemic heart disease (CHR) (12%), stroke (STR) (10%), and angina pectoris (ANG) (5%). These four diseases had significant correlations with temperature (meaningful correlation for MI and negative correlations for CHR, STR, and ANG). Selecting MI, as a representative weather-sensitive disease, and summarizing the quantitative correlations with meteorological factors revealed that, daily hospital admissions for MI increased approximately 1.7%-2.2% with each $1^{\circ}C$ decrease in physiologically equivalent temperature. On the days when MI occurred in three or more patients larger daily temperature ranges ($2.3^{\circ}C$ increase) were reported compared with the days when MI occurred in fewer than three patients. In addition, variations in pressure (10 mbar, 1016 mbar standard) and relative humidity (10%) contributed to an 11%-12% increase in deaths from MI and an approximately 10% increase in the incidence of MI, respectively.

  • The purpose of this study is to analyze the difference and influence of educational institutions and majors on education service quality, learning satisfaction, and educational institution loyalty, and to provide information on an Academic Credit Bank System appropriate for the two types of education institutions and learners. Looking at the difference in education service quality, learning satisfaction and educational institution loyalty, Lifelong Education Organizations of Universities showed positive awareness compared to Job Technical colleges. Especially, differences in awareness regarding quality of education facilities were largest, followed by educational institution loyalty and learning satisfaction. Looking at the difference in awareness according to educational institution and majors, learners at Lifelong Education Organizations of Universities had positive awareness compared to Job Technical colleges in terms of quality of facilities, learning satisfaction and educational institution loyalty. No difference was found according to major. Looking at the effect of awareness of education service quality on learning satisfaction and educational institution loyalty, factors of education service quality affected learning satisfaction in the order of education>administration>facilities for Lifelong Education Organizations of Universities, and the effect on educational institution loyalty was found in the order of administration> education with no effect shown by facilities. For learners at Job Technical colleges, factors of education service quality affected learning satisfaction in the order of administration>education>facilities. • In a qualitative approach, this study investigated users' perceptions associated with their satisfactions in the process of using the scholarly resource search functions of the academic version of the NAVER search engine. For this study, the data was collected from a group of undergraduate students, who conducted academic information searches in the field of own major disciplinary areas, using the Web portal. Based on the data, students' satisfactions and dissatisfactions along with the reasons of their perceptions were analyzed. The results presented users' perceptions in various evaluation criteria based on the three major domains: system interfaces, retrieval mechanisms and search results. Based on the results, the study proposed the following suggestions: 1) the enhancements of the system interfaces and HELP guidances based the limited user knowledge on basic system terminologies 2) the improvements of the retrieval mechanisms associated with understanding the contexts of the search terms presented by users 3) the necessity of the user education due to the insufficient user knowledge of the retrieval mechanisms and the search functions.

  • The purpose of this study was to examine the needs of dental hygiene students at a lifelong education center of a three-year-course college for a credit bank system. The subjects in this study were 200 dental hygiene students at a college located in J, which offered courses of a credit bank system. A survey was conducted from May 19 to 23, 2008, to gather data on the acquisition of a bachelor's degree and the credit bank system, and the answer sheets from 184 respondents(92%) were collected. After the collected data were analyzed with SPSS/WIN 12.0 program, the following findings were given: 1. In regard to an intention of taking a bachelor's degree, the largest number of the students investigated(74.5%) intended to do that if they had any chance. As for the reason, 55.6% wanted to get the degree in pursuit of their own personal development. 2. Concerning how to win a bachelor's degree, the largest group that accounted for 63.0% preferred the credit bank systems of college lifelong education centers. 41.8% got interested in the credit bank system mainly because their acquaintances informed them of it. It shows that colleges should reinforce publicity activities if they want to offer the credit bank system. 3. The quality of educational programs and cost had an impact on the choice of an educational institution when they planned to get a bachelor's degree from the credit bank system. Therefore excellent educational programs should be provided, and the government should provide learners with economic help and fund educational institutions. 4. As to comparison of a regular college and the credit bank system as a way to get a bachelor's degree, that was considered to be helpful for finding a job(a mean of 3.39) and for the development of sociability(3.22). That was also deemed to be of use for the improvement of practical job performance, to win public recognition and to be helpful for being well-cultivated, though not many students had those opinions. They took a different view according to academic year(p<.05). 5. Regarding the expected effects of getting a degree from the credit bank system, the greatest group expected it to step up their personal development(3.85). The second largest group expected it to boost job efficacy(3.30), and the students whose academic year was higher had a better opinion. 6. As for future directions for the credit bank system, the largest group put emphasis on the improvement of social perception through intensive P.R. and the enhancement of the qualifications of professors and lecturers(4.02). These opinions were more stressed by the juniors than by the sophomores and seniors, and academic year made a significant difference to their views(p<.05).

  • This research analyses spatial and temporal characteristics of the academic performances of high school students by using all 2,065,166 SAT scores for 3 years. The spatial inequalities in Seoul are analysed by DBMS and GIS. Based on three-year raw data of Korean SAT scores, the spatial and temporal characteristics of academic performances are scrutinized: 868,029 SAT scores cases of 2000 academic year on Novemver 17, 1999, 609,258 cases in 2005 academic year on November 17, 2004 and 587,890 cases in 2009 on November 13. The result shows that there are significant spatial disparities of the level of academic performance in Seoul by Gu level, also indicating that the disparities are getting wider over the course of time. The widening disparities by Gu level means that educational spatial inequality is intensified in spite of the increasing overall trend of academic performance of Seoul. It is also notable that disparities between regions are distinctive, while those in regions are not significant and sustained constant as time flows.
