Methods : The subjects in this study were 650 students who were in the three-year department of dental hygiene at four colleges in Gyeonggi Province and Chungcheong Province. After a survey was conducted, frequency analysis and ANOVA were utilized to analyze the collected data. The findings of the study were as follows. Results : The students put the highest value on knowledge among the factors of teaching behavior irrespective of their academic year, academic standing and learning style, followed by skills and attitude. Out of every subfactor, they set the highest value on a sense of humor regardless of their academic year, academic standing and learning style, and put the lowest value on the attitude factor such as enthusiasm. There were differences among the students in evaluation of the factors of teaching behavior according to academic year, and the students whose academic year was higher set a higher value on the factors of teaching behavior. There were no differences according to their academic standing and learning style. Conclusions : The dental hygiene students viewed the knowledge factor as the effective factor of teaching behavior, and regarded a sense of humor as the best subfactor. Although the attitude factor like enthusiasm is important, it seemed that the students hoped for the kind of instruction that would be delightful, intriguing and clearly convey what to learn.

  • The Korean Association of Arbitration Studies faces its 30th anniversary in 2020 since its foundation in 1991 and is being celebrated and congratulated across the communities in and out of the country. However, the association seems to be standing at crossroads between a negative and positive direction. As shown in the past KAAS pattern in its academic activities, the academic community tends to focus relatively more on domestic issues, expanding its domestic network rather than international network for the past years. KAAS needs to turn its face to see the other side of the world, stretching its hands to the people outside first. For this purpose, this paper suggests that KAAS should strengthen its cooperative capability through the international cooperation division. KAAS' past 30 years of accumulated know-how and its academic network will play critical roles i-n expanding its partners across the global academic community. This paper delivers special thanks to the institutions, including the LMAA, CAC, SIAC, HKIAC, RSPP/ACRU, IDAC, and LAMC who sent cooperative works and congratulatory messages to KAAS 30th anniversary despite the COVID-19 pandemic situation.

  • The purpose of this study was to examine the variables of success in the national dental hygienist licence examination at D college. The subjects in this study were 120 dental hygiene juniors at D college located in Gangwon Province. The collected data were analyzed by the statistical package SPSS WIN 13.0 and a R2.13.2 program, and $x^2$(Chi-square) test, regression analysis, multiple linear regression analysis and logistic regression analysis were utilized. The findings of the study were as follows: 1. There was a tendency that the pass rate was higher among the students who were more satisfied with their major, whose academic standing was higher and who scored higher in trial examinations. 2. There was a positive correlation between academic standing and trial exam scores. 3. When their academic standing and satisfaction level with major were the same, an increase of one point in trial exams led to a 1.141-fold rise in the probability of passing the national exam. In this study, trial exam scores were identified as the variable to exert the largest influence on success in the national dental hygienist qualification exam. Therefore more intensive guidance should be provided for students who make a preparation for the national exam yet score low in trial exams.

In a final result from EMG test. the shift in median frequency (MF) with 20, 25, 30, 35 degree of inclined steps indicated that 30 degree step was identified as most effective for a decrease in feet muscle fatigue. In a department store, 80% of the workers are female standing sales workers. They work at standing on average 10 hours per day. They performed heavy duty jobs such as lifting, lowering. packing and carrying heavy materials. Furthermore, even though they have work shoes, they usually use various kind of high heels.
