  • Globalization of higher education deepens the competition in the global educational services market. Competition between higher education institutions is based on the use of a wide range of activities and tools that are constantly evolving and becoming more complex. Digitalization significantly transforms the approaches to competition between universities in educational, research and marketing activities. Digital technologies are becoming an integral part of this competition. In addition, in the current conditions of globalization of the scientific and educational space, numerous rankings of universities have become an important tool of the competition; the most significant rankings of universities are as follows: Academic Ranking of World Universities (China), Times Higher Education Rankings of Universities (Great Britain), Webometrics (Spain). In the article, the key principles of the formation of world rankings of universities are analyzed, the main sources of information resources for their compilation are determined. The authors have concluded that the improvement of the position of educational institutions in the world rankings of universities should be implemented within the framework of the state educational policy. The key positive effects of universities due to increasing the competitiveness level of the national higher education system are specified.

  • In the 4th Industrial Revolution, the competitiveness of the software industry is important, and as a solution to fundamentally secure the competitiveness of the software industry, education classes should be provided to educate high quality software personnel in educational institutions. Despite this social situation, software-related classes in universities are largely composed of competitive or individual learning structures. Cooperative learning is a learning model that can complement the problems of competitive and individual learning. Cooperative learning is more effective in improving academic achievement than individual or competitive learning. In addition, most learners have the advantage of having a more desirable self-image by having a successful experience. In this paper, we apply a pair check model, which is a type of cooperative learning, in operating system classes. In addition, the class procedure and instruction plan are designed to apply the pair check model. We analyze the test results to analyze the performance of the cooperative learning model.

  • Science & Technology (S&T) personnel have played a major role to develop our country since S&T is the most important factor to increase national competitiveness in the 21st century. Therefore, it is very essential to increase the welfare of S&T personnel in order to increase national S&T and economic competitiveness. However, the welfare of S&T personnel has not been discussed sufficiently not only in academic research, but also in actual S&T policies. It has caused many. social problems (for example, avoiding fields of S&T of young generation, low social recognition of S&T community and so on). Under this background, this paper aims at investigating how to effectively improve S&T personnel's welfare. For this purpose, we deal with a theoretical review on the welfare of S&T personnel. After that, we will suggest 'Comprehensive Welfare Town for S&T Personnel' as a method of improving the welfare of S&T personnel.

Empirical Analysis of Early-stage International Startups Business Performance Antecedent: Focus on Firm Capability

  • Given the importance of SMEs in the Korean economy, research of the performance of SMEs is more necessary than ever. Therefore, this study aims to empirically analyze the factors influencing management performance for early-stage international startups in Korea. To do that, this study empirically analyzes the nine firm capabilities' (global mind, export infra, manpower internationality, funding, communicating, marketing, cooperating, competitiveness and reflecting) influence on the two business performances (fulfillment satisfaction and export). This study used SPSS of frequency, factor, reliability, correlation, and stepwise regression analysis with the GCL test data approved by the DSZ of Kdata. As results show, competitiveness, cooperating, and reflating capability positively influence fulfillment satisfaction. And manpower internationality and cooperating capability positively affect export. Based on this study result, implications for management and academic contribution and future study are suggested.

  • Recently, the development of ICT(information & communications technology) with the advent of new media paradigm shift in learning has brought a dramatic impact on the competitiveness of universities. The previous studies on the academic performance of e-learning mainly targeted on e-learning users, studying additional synchronization and system quality factors to measure academic performance. This study empirically analyzed the learning flow and academic performance considering both DeLone & McLean model system quality and synchronizing factors based on ARCS model. Relating to quality and synchronization factors, the academic performance of e-learning system was tested, and the difference between learning flow and academic performance was also analyzed based on time-series data, by the test difference(in the beginning, during, and final of the semester). The results of the study are as follows. First, the study shows that both system quality and synchronization directly affected the learning performance. Thus, when designing e-learning system, it is necessary to consider these two factors at the same time. Second, the indirectly mediating effect on the system quality and synchronization factors turned out to be significant in learning flow. Third, the result of regression analysis on the contents of utilizing dummy variable presents that the teacher's explanation has greater influence than multimedia has to the academic performance, and furthermore, the test difference showed no significance. Further research should be undertaken to consider the learner's degree of acceptance which reflects various aspects for building m-learning or u-learning.

부산신발산업의 지식경영도입을 위한 전략적 방안 (Strategic plan for implementation of knowledge management of Busan's footwear industry)

  • 부산지역 신발산업의 과도기적 격변 과정에도 불구하고 신발산업의 연구가 주로 공학적 관점에서 소재, 생체역학, 부품, 디자인 등에 집중되어 실질적으로 신발기업들의 경쟁력을 강화할 수 있는 경영적 방안에 대한 본격적인 학술적 연구는 매우 희소하다. 1990년대 후반 ~ 2000년대초에 여러 정책보고서들이 발간되었지만 그것들은 실태 파악과 정책적 대안 모색에 한정되었고, 경영관리적 측면에서 경쟁력을 강화하기 위한 학술적 연구로는 발전되지 못했다. 이러한 특정분야에 한정된 문제들을 경영관리적 관점에서 접근하여 신발기업들의 자체 경쟁력을 강화하기 위한 대안으로 검토해야할 방안을 모색하고자 한다. 한 미, 한 EU FTA 발효 이후 급격히 증가되고 있는 부산지역 신발수출 증대에 기여하기 위해서는 일시적인 아닌 지속가능한 산업경쟁력을 강화하기 위한 대안으로서 지식경영의 도입을 통한 경쟁력 강화방안을 모색하여 산업기반 확충을 위한 대안을 마련하고자 하는 취지가 본 연구의 핵심이라 할 수 있다. 이러한 점에서 본 연구는 부산신발산업의 현안에 대해 설문조사를 하고, 설문조사 결과를 바탕으로 신발산업의 경쟁력 제고를 위해 필요한 지식경영도입방안에 대해 논의하고자 하였다. 대부분의 연구나 방향들이 부산지역 신발산업의 경쟁력을 강화하기 위한 대안으로서 인체역학적 특성과 관련된 기능성 신발, 디자인, 소재 및 부품 등에 초점을 두고 있어 근본적인 기업경영에의 변화를 도모하기 위한 방안을 제시하지 않고 있어 이에 대한 방향을 탐색하고자 지식경영의 도입을 주장하게 되었다. 본 연구는 신발산업의 지식산업으로의 전환을 위한 지식경영 가능성을 탐색함으로써 고부가가치화를 위한 산업적 생태계조성을 위한 대안을 제시함에 있다. FTA 체결에 따른 수출증대효과가 나타나기 위해서는 현재의 신발기업들의 경영방식으로는 한계가 있으므로, 지식경영방식의 도입을 통한 경쟁력 강화를 통해 FTA효과의 극대화를 도모하여야 한다. 이러한 지식경영의 정착은 신발기업의 경쟁력을 강화하는 계기가 되어 장기적으로는 지역산업의 부흥 및 고용창출의 효과를 극대화할 수 있을 것이다.

제조기업에서 서비스믹스 전략에 관한 연구 - 파워프로세스 접근을 중심으로 - (A Study on the Service Mix Strategy of Manufacturing Firms - Based on the Power Process -)

  • 기업의 경쟁력은 본질적으로 기업이 생산하는 제품이나 서비스의 가치에 의존한다. 왜냐하면 가치가 높은 제품이나 서비스는 고객으로 하여금 구매행동을 유발하기 때문이다. 서비스 믹스는 제품의 물리적 특성과 서비스의 최적결합을 통해서 고객을 위한 가치창출을 통해 경쟁력을 창출하는 프로세스이다. 본 연구에서는 기업에서 서비스 믹스가 기업경쟁력에 미치는 영향에 관한 연구를 통해서 우리나라 제조 기업의 경쟁력 향상에 기여하고자 한다. 경쟁우위를 위한 접근은 흔히 산업 구조 경쟁이론과 자원기반 관점 접근에 의존하고 있다. 그러나 산업 구조에 경쟁 이론은 어느 산업이 매력적인 산업 인가를 발견 하는 데에도 도움이 되지만 어느 기업은 특정의 산업에 진출하여 성공 할 수 있고 다른 기업은 실패하였는가에 대해서는 별다른 도움을 주지 못한다고 논의되고 있다. 자원기반 관점 절은 경쟁력 제고에 많은 공헌에도 불구하고 기업 전략 분석을 위한 이론이나 체계적인 틀은 제시하지 못하는 한계성이 있다. 본 연구에서는 이러한 한계성을 극복하고, 기업의 경쟁력 향상을 위하여 파워 프로세스 적 접근을 적용하였다. 파워프로세스는 권력요소, 가치, 욕구, 환경, 관계의 다섯 권력결정요소의 상호작용에 의해서 권력원천인 가치를 창출하는 프로세스이다. 즉 파워프로세스는 권력주체의 목적을 달성하기 위해서 권력객체를 만족시키는 가치를 창출하는 프로세스이다. 본 연구는 파워프로세스의 관점에서 서비스믹스 전략을 수립하여 우리나라 제조기업의 경쟁력 향상에 기여고자 한다.

4차 산업혁명 시대에 농업의 6차산업화와 이를 통한 수출경쟁력 강화 (The Strengthening of Export Competitiveness through the 6th Agriculture Industrialization and the 4th Industrial Revolution)

  • Purpose - With the technology of the 4th industrial revolution, business models of agricultural sector are changing rapidly toward convergence and high value-added business models due to the 6th industrialization of agricultural. Our goals is to examine the 6th industrialization of agriculture, and then to apply the technology of the 4th industrial revolution to the 6th industrialization of agriculture, suggesting the possibility of future agriculture, and then linking the export competitiveness of agricultural products. Research design, data, and methodology - As the methodology, case studies and empirical analyzes were conducted as well as literature studies. The case analyses included tomatoes, pig breeding farms, and an empirical analysis was conducted using the AHP analysis by experts of the 6th industrialization. In addition, using 124 survey data, this study examined and analyzed the items of the 4th industrial revolution technology for the 6th industrialization of agriculture and the strengthening of export competitiveness. Results - Results showed that the technology of the 4th Industrial Revolution helped "6th industrialization of agriculture" and "the strengthening of export competitiveness" using two successful cases. The AHP analysis was also carried out, and it was found that the improvement of the technology in the 4th industrial revolution could contribute to the future industrialization as well as the 6th industrialization of agriculture. First of all, we looked many conditions were important and urgent. Among the technologies of the 4th industrial revolution, the mobile, big data were important. Moreover, it was recognized that linkage and convergence related efforts would greatly contribute to strengthening export competitiveness of agriculture such as price and quality competitiveness. Conclusions - The 4th industrial revolution such as hyper-connectivity, hyper-intelligence and hyper-predictability contribute greatly to the 6th industrialization of agriculture, and therefore it is essential to improve the competitiveness of the agricultural sector by using the technology of the 4th industrial revolution. In particular, based on analyses of the diamond model, the "demand conditions" was the most important factor for the activation of the 6th Industrialization, and then "related and supporting fields", "factor conditions" and "business context" were followed in order. The results of this study can be useful for policy, practical and academic sectors.

광양항의 경쟁력 평가요인과 강화전략 (Evaluation Factor and Enhancement of Gwangyang International Port's Competitiveness)

  • 연구의 목적은 광양항을 사례로 항만 경쟁력에 영향을 미치는 요인들을 평가하고, 세부 평가요소의 우선순위에 따른 광양항의 경쟁력을 강화하기 위한 중요한 항만정책방향을 규명하는 데 있다. 논문에서는 의사결정기법인 AHP기법을 이용하여 항만입지, 항만운영관리, 항만비용, 항만시설, 배후지여건 등 5가지 주요 평가요인과 14가지 세부평가 요소에 대한 중요도를 파악하였다. 광양항의 항만경쟁력 평가를 위한 주요 평가요인의 중요도는 항만입지, 항만시설, 항만비용, 항만운영관리, 배후지여건 순으로 계산되었다. 세부 평가요소별 복합가중치를 이용한 종합중요도는 배후지역과 연결성, 국제항만과 접근성, 인센티브제도, 터미널의 시설용량. 항만운영인력의 전문성 숙련도, 등의 순서로 확인되었다. 광양항은 배후지와 연결성 및 국제항만과의 접근성을 강화하여 항만의 중심성과 중계성을 제고시겨 항만의 경쟁력을 강화해야 한다. 항만물동량을 창출하기 위해서 다양한 인센티브 제공과 항만비용을 절감시켜 국제거점항만으로서의 경쟁력을 증진해야 한다. 초대형 컨테이너선이 원활하게 하역작업을 수행하도록 하역시스템의 첨단화 및 효율화방안이 강구되며, 항만운영인력의 전문성과 작업도 향상을 위하여 다양한 방안들을 모색해야 한다. 연구의 결과는 관련 학계, 항만당국 및 항만공사 등에 광양항 발전전략에 대한 학술적이며 정책적인 시사점과 지식을 제공하고 있다. 대형항만의 경쟁력 평가에 필요한 이론의 형성, 간단한 분석방법의 틀을 제시하는 데도 연구의 의의가 있다.

Development of Teaching Methods to Improve Mathematical Capabilities for Electronics Engineering

  • The importance of mathematics is emerging to create new values and secure competitiveness in an intelligent information society based on the Fourth Industrial Revolution. This study was conducted with the aim of improving the academic performance and increasing interest of electronics majors in mathematics subjects. In order to develop learners' mathematical capabilities in major fields that utilize mathematics that electronics majors do not prefer, we have proposed a new teaching method to promote employment in mathematics-based electronics fields. In addition, to enhance learners' self-directed learning, we developed teaching methods for efficient mathematics subjects with programming languages as tools in electronics engineering and applied them to real-world teaching sites to effectively cultivate academic performance improvement of majors. Finally, we conducted a survey and statistically analyze the effectiveness of the developed teaching methods to present effective operational measures for mathematics education, an essential tool in intelligent information technology.
