  • Bakery nutrition labeling has been implemented in the company, but most consumers have no idea about it due to lack of promotion of the product nutrition labeling information or do not have a big interest in it. As a result, various studies based on the forecast about changes in consumption patterns of the bakery market due to nutrition labeling information are needed. Especially nowadays, when buying bakery products the involvement of consumers in health and nutrition is growing. So, we need to understand that nutrition labeling information makes any causal relationship between consumer attitude and confidence, purchasing behavior in bakery products. It can be said to be a very important research. For that reason, I think this research will help to settle and activate the nutrition labeling information system for the rational purchasing decisions of consumers in the bakery market. In addition, this research could be a base material for various marketing strategies.

  • The purpose of this study was to investigate the variables that had an effect on the maturity of career attitude in middle school students. Independent variables were categorized into three groups: individual-related variables, family-related variables, and school-related variables. The individual-related variables were gender difference, academic year, academic achievement, and self-efficacy. The family-related variables were socio-economic status of the family, communication about career with parents, parental support, sibling's support, and value orientation of the family. The school-related variables included communication about career with friends, teacher's support, and friend's support. The subjects of this study were 490 students who were selected at random from first, second, and third grade of middle school in Daegu. A questionnaire was used for the survey. It consisted of a career attitude maturity scale, a self-efficacy scale, a communication scale, a value orientation of the family scale, and a social support scale. The data was analyzed by factor analysis, multiple regression analysis, and hierarchical regression analysis. The major findings of this study are summarized as follow: First, among the individual-related variables that had an effect on the maturity of career attitude in middle school students, self-efficacy affected all sub-factors of how mature they were in matters relating to career. Academic achievement affected decisiveness and preparation-- maturity of career attitude subfactors. And gender difference and academic year affected preparation and goal orientation. Second, the results of the family-related variables that had an effect on the maturity of career attitudes in middle school students were that communication about career with parents affected decisiveness, preparation, and confidence-- maturity of career attitude sub-factors, socio-economic status of the family and sibling's support affected confidence. And value orientation of the family affected goal orientation and independence. Third, the results of the school-related variables that had an effect on the maturity of career attitude in middle school students were that communication about career with friends affected preparation-- a maturity of career attitude sub-factor; teacher's support affected decisiveness, preparation, and confidence; and friend's support affected confidence and independence. Fourth, decisiveness, preparation, and confidence among the maturity of career attitude sub-factors were affected the most by individual variables. And self-efficacy was the most significant. Goal orientation and independence were affected the most by family-related variables.

  • The purpose of this study is to develop a program which aims at providing a better understanding of parenthood, establishing a desirable value of being a parent and preparing for being a good father positively affecting children, and determine effects of the program on unmarried men who are in the so-called stage of 'not belonged youth'. The program consisted of 5 sessions titled 'My father, 'I will be a father, too', 'Being a good father I', 'Being a good father II' and 'I will be a respectable father'. 7 unmarried men surveyed here were asked to participate in the program held at B church located in Busan from Oct. 3 to Nov. 7, 2004, with 1 session a week and 120 minutes per session based. Before and after the program, tests were carried out with the father acceptance-rejection scale and the scale of confidence in father's role'. For each of the sessions, a process evaluation was performed. Results of the study can be summarized as follows. First, the pre- and post-tests with the father acceptance-rejection scale showed some changed recognition that father's attitude of child raising would be more acceptable and unrejectable. This indicates that the program made some achievements in relation to understanding and reestablishing relations with father. Second, significant differences were found in confidence in father's role between before and after the program. Especially, anxiety about father's role as a sub-area of such confidence was most considerably reduced. In conclusion, such objectives of the program as removing vague anxiety about father's role, establishing a desirable view of fatherhood and improving confidence about being a father proved to be achievable through getting skills of child understanding with the concept of developmental perspective and narrative therapy based.
