Travel Time Prediction Algorithm using Rule-based Classification on Road Networks (규칙-기반 분류화 기법을 이용한 도로 네트워크 상에서의 주행 시간 예측 알고리즘)

  • Prediction of travel time on road network is one of crucial research issue in dynamic route guidance system. A new approach based on Rule-Based classification is proposed for predicting travel time. This approach departs from many existing prediction models in that it explicitly consider traffic patterns during day time as well as week day. We can predict travel time accurately by considering both traffic condition of time range in a day and traffic patterns of vehicles in a week. We compare the proposed method with the existing prediction models like Link-based, Micro-T* and Switching model. It is also revealed that proposed method can reduce MARE (mean absolute relative error) significantly, compared with the existing predictors.

  • As one of the most serious urban problems, routine city traffic congestion causes not only unpleasantness but also damage with increases of road tolls. Recently, many TDM plans are being improved along with plans to more effectively utilize established facilities and maximize the effect. To achieve the purpose of Intelligent Transport Systems(ITS). Recently, the core of ITS is Advanced Traveler information Systems (ATIS.) that are activity researched. A development of various muti-media system is very important of road guideline. First of all a business processing for offering travel information and give a consideration to the United states of various muti-media systems.

Dynamic Travel Time Prediction Using AVI Data (AVI 자료를 이용한 동적 통행시간 예측)

  • This paper develops a dynamic travel time prediction model for ATIS in a national highway. While there have been many research on travel time prediction, none of them is for national highway in Korea. The study uses AVI data installed on the national highway No.1 with 10km interval for travel time prediction model, and probe vehicle data for evaluating the model. The study area has many access points, so there are many outlying observations in the raw AVI data. Therefore, this study uses the algorithm proposed by the author for removing the outliers, and then Kalman filtering algorithm is applied for the travel time prediction. The prediction model is performed for 5, 10, 15 and 30 minute-aggregating interval and the results are $0.061{\sim}0.066$ for 5, 10 and 15 interval and 0.078 for 30 minute one with a little low performance as MAREs.

  • Flammable substances are frequently used chemical industry processes. An accurate knowledge of the ALTs(Autoignition Temperatures) is important in developing appropriate prevention and control measures in industrial fire protection. The AITs describe the minimum temperature to which a substance must be heated, without the application of a flame or spark, which will cause that substance to ignite. The AITs are dependent upon many factors, namely initial temperature, pressure, volume, fuel/air stoichiometry, catalyst material, concentration of vapor, ignition delay. This study measured relationship between the AITs and the ignition delay times by using ASTM E659-78 apparatus for methanol and ethanol. The A.A.P.E.(Average Absolute Percent Error) and the A.A.D.(Average Absolute Deviation) of the experimental and the calculated delay times by the AITs for methanol were 14.59 and 1.76 respectively. Also the A.A.P.E. and the A.A.D. of the experimental and the calculated delay times by the ATIs for ethanol were 8.33 and 0.88.

  • The objective of this study is to develop highway advisory radio service for road safety oriented system design of the point by regional groups or geographical distributions. To develop these highway advisory radio service, traffic information provided service areas, responds for incident and accident, and road condition in service sections based on traffic information of highway advisory radio service. This study contributes to service of traffic information for safety driving, which is transport congestion areas and recognition of traffic congestion status in advanced traffic information service. As result of this study, systematic design of the advanced highway and traffic safety guides to management systems by highway advisory radio service.

  • The objective of this paper is to develop the optimal path algorithm for dynamic route guidance system in advanced traveler information system (ATIS). The travel time is forecasted in each path between network nodes. Floyd-Warshall algorithm is used to find the optimal route based on this forecasted travel time in dynamic traffic network. This algorithm is modified to apply the real traffic network that has left-turn restriction, U-turn, and P-turn. A big value is assigned to one of arcs in turn restriction and a virtual node is used to consider U-turn and P-turn for Floyd-Warshall algorithm.

포준지체식 파라메터 조정을 통한 동적 통행배정모형에서 링크성능함수의 최적화에 관한 연구

  • ITS틀 내의 한 분야인 도로교통정보체계 (ATIS: Advanced Traveler Information system)는 실시간 교통정보를 운전자에게 직접 제공하는 것으로서, 이를 위해 매 순간마다 가로망에 배정되는 교통량 및 통행시간을 예측할 수 있는 범용의 동적 통행배정모형(dynamic route choice model)의 개발이 필히 수반되어야 한다. 본 연구에서는 ITS사업에서 필수적으로 수반되어야 할 최적 제어이론에 의한 동적 통행 배정모형을 ATIS의 핵심 소프트웨어로 응용하기 위해 기존 연구성과를 발판으로, 순간 동적 통행 배정모형(Ran, Boyce &LeBlanc, 1993)의 통행제약조건인 링크통행함수, 특히, 과부하 시 엘켈릭의 일반식의 파라메터를 조정, 적용하여, 서울시 강남지역의 실제 가로망의 사례연구를 통해 지체식의 각각의 파라메터에 따른 결과를 O/D에 따른 통행시간, 링크통행시간, 혼잡도를 중심으로 비교 평가하여, ATIS의 핵심 소프트웨어로서 순간 동적 통행배정을 통해 보다 현실여건을 잘 반영할 수 있는 링크 통행 성능 함수를 도출하였다.

WiBEEM Addressing Scheme Based on NAA Algorithm for High-Speed Mobility of USN Devices

  • In this paper, we proposed an efficient short address allocation mechanism for WiBEEM devices using NAA(Next Address Available) algorithm. The proposed addressing mechanism is based upon the NAA information that is delivered over the beacons every time it is transmitted at the beginning of each super-frame. The NAA-based addressing mechanism is not a systematic way of allocating short addresses to newly joining devices and thus tree-routing cannot be supported. However, it has great advantages when U-City core services including U-Parking Lot System or ATIS(Advanced Traveler Information System) services that require high-speed mobility are considered. Moreover, the proposed addressing mechanism can provide significant expandability of the wireless network to various applications and fast device discovery.

  • 국제표준화 기구 및 표준화 단체는 각국에 1개씩 존재하고 있다고 보면 된다. 그중 표준화활동을 어느 정도 체계적으로 관리, 활동하는냐에 따라 수많은 표준(안)이 개발되고, 국제표준화기구의 승인을 요청하느냐에 따라 ICT 기업 매출과 직접적인 영향을 받을 것이다. 국제적으로는 ITU, ISO, ISO/IEC JTC1, ATIS, BSI, AFNOR, DIN, TTA 등 무수히 많은 표준화기구 및 단체 등이 활동하고 있다. 본고에서는 정보통신 분야의 최고 기구인 ITU-PP를 중심으로 논의하고자 하며, 이러한 국제표준화기구와 ICT 기업과의 생존관계를 위한 국제회의 유치가 ICT 분야 및 산업 발전에 미치는 영향을 분석 제시하고자 한다.

  • 이동 컴퓨팅(Mobile Computing)의 상업적인 응용분야로서, 지능형 교통정보시스템(ITS)에서의 첨단 여행자 정보시스템(ATIS)이 있다. ATIS에서 가장 중요한 이동 컴퓨팅 태스크는 현재 위치에서 목적지까지의 최단 경로를 계산하는 일이다. 본 논문에서는 최단 경로 재 계산 문제에 대해서 연구하였다. 이 문제는 전자 수치 지도(topological digital road map)상의 간선(edge) 비용이 동적인 교통 상태에 따라 빈번하게 갱신되고 있는 ATIS의 동적 경로 안내 시스템(URGS)에서 발생한다. 지금까지 제안된 방법들은 처음부터 최단 경로를 재계산하거나, 또는 단지 비용의 변화가 일어난 간건 상에 있는 양 끝 노드 사이에 대해서 최단 경로를 재계산할 뿐이다. 본 논문에서는 앞서 계산된 최단 경로에 대한 정보를 이용하는 효율적인 적응형 슬라이딩 윈도우 기반의 근접 최단 경로 재 계산 방법을 제안한다.
