The CUPID code was developed and is continuously updated in KAERI. Verification and validation (V&V) is mainly done for light water reactors (LWRs). This paper describes a benchmarking of the detailed mesh level compared with sub-channel level for application to pressurized heavy water reactors (PHWRs), even though component scale comparison for the PHWR moderator system was done once before. We completed a sub-channel level comparison between the CUPID code and the ASSERT code and a CUPID code analysis. Because the ASSERT code has already been validated with numerous experiments, benchmarking with the ASSERT code will offer us more trust on the CUPID code. The target channel has high power and thus high pressure deformation. The high power channel tends to have a high possibility of critical heat flux (CHF), because a high void fraction and quality in channel exit region appear. In this research, after determining the reference grid and T/H model, we compared the sub-channel level results of the CUPID code with those of the ASSERT code.

The ASSERT-PV subchannel code developed by AECL has been applied as a design-assist tool to the advanced $CANDU^{(R)1}$ reactor fuel bundle. Based primarily on the $CANFLEX^{(R)2}$ fuel bundle, several geometry changes (such as element sizes and pitch-circle diameters of various element rings) were examined to optimize the dryout power and pressure-drop performances of the new fuel bundle. An experiment was performed to obtain dryout power measurements for verification of the ASSERT-PV code predictions. It was carried out using an electrically heated, Refrigerant-134a cooled, fuel bundle string simulator. The axial power profile of the simulator was uniform, while the radial power profile of the element rings was varied simulating profiles in bundles with various fuel compositions and burn-ups. Dryout power measurements are predicted closely using the ASSERT-PV code, particularly at low flows and low pressures, but are overpredicted at high flows and high pressures. The majority of data shows that dryout powers are underpredicted at low inlet-fluid temperatures but overpredicted at high inlet-fluid temperatures.

We developed a RFID system to effective management and monitoring for school assert. In this paper, RFID system implemented a two way which are control to 13.56MHz for in/outbound order and 2.45GHz for positioning tracking and monitoring. We also make up the contents and database utilizing the labview tool in pc. In addition, the developed system can obtain simultaneously the information from several RFID reader at real time so that it is possible to track the position system, the path moving and the status of asserts in the school. Especially, 2.45GHz system has a function to prevent a assert theft. It is observed from the various and practical experiment that the proposed system is useful for assert management and monitoring.

Generic sentences assert generic properties of single individuals or those of plural individuals. It means the generic quantifier Gen can quantify over single and plural entities. Among the generic meaning information represented in terms of the tripartite structure, the information not in the nuclear scope part, but rather in the restrictor part is related to which individuals generic sentences assert of. The plurality in the nuclear scope part cannot be described by making the generic operator Gen quantify over plural entities: Generic sentences with collective predicates like gather, and those with dependent plurals predicate of generic properties of single individuals. On the contrary, the plural information in restrictor part leads Gen to quantify eve. plural entities.

This paper is based on the study to reduce a system panic state. A panic state could be caused by a programmer or an administrator's careless mistake. The proposed hardening Operating System of this paper stops the process which is running in the kernel with an error. The error process for the value type and the address type of a certain variable have to be restored. Installed with kernel hardening, Operating System checks the recovery possibility of the process first and then restores the process which can be recovered. When it is possible to recover the kernel code with an error, it is to be recovered in ASSERT() function.

The objectives of this study were to review various aspects of society on Genetically Modified Organism(GMO) in the view point of environmental sociology. There were many assertions related to GMO, and application of biotechnology. Some people assert GMO as harmful to human health, and some people as not harmful, however, there were no proven evidences to report. Through the literature review, this study intended; 1) to identify the present condition of GMO, 2) to weigh the pros against cons of views on GMO, 3) to study an aspect of society on GMO, and 4) to assert its necessity to mark GMO or not, because citizens have a rights to know natural or GMO. Based on the conclusions of this study, following recommendations were offered: 1) To review continually the GMO in the view point of environmental sociology especially in the areas of food safety, biosafety, trade, and public research investment, and 2) further detailed studies of GMO may necessary to ensure safety to human health and environment.

본 논문은 리눅스 커널 운영체제에서 커널 개발자의 실수나 의도하지 않은 오류 및 시스템 오류로 인하여 발생되는 시스템 정지 현상을 줄이기 위한 커널 하드닝 기능을 설계한다. 본 논문에서 제안하는 커널 하드닝 기능은 문제가 발생한 커널 부분을 수행 중인 프로세스에 대한 동작을 정지시키는 기능과 오류가 발생한 코드에 대한 변수 값이나 주소 값이 가진 특정한 값을 복구시키는 기능을 가진다. 커널 하드닝 기능에서 문제가 있는 모든 프로세스를 무조건 복구하는 것이 아니라 복구 가능성을 판별하여, 복구 가능한 프로세스에 대해서만 복구 될 수 있도록 한다. 또한 오류가 발생한 커널 코드에 대해서 복구 가능한 경우에는 ASSERT() 함수에서 복구가 가능하도록 설계하였다.

We, Human beings, use both powers of reason and emotion simultaneously, which surely help us to obtain flexible adaptability against the dynamic environment. We assert that this principle can be applied into the general system. That is, it would be possible to improve the adaptability by covering a digital oriented information processing system with analog oriented emotion layer. In this paper, we proposed a vertical slicing model with an emotion layer in it. And we showed that the emotion-based control allows us to improve the adaptability of a system at least under some conditions.

This study is on the differences of the functions of definitions between in proof geometry and in intuitional geometry. There are the functions of definitions in intuitional geometry which may connect to those in proof geometry. We assert that when we teach them, we should be careful, for the teaching of the functions of definitions in proof.
