On the Conditional Tolerance Probability in Time Series Models

  • Suppose that { $X_{i}$ } is a stationary AR(1) process and { $Y_{j}$ } is an ARX process with { $X_{i}$ } as exogeneous variables. Let $Y_{j}$ $^{*}$ be the stochastic process which is the sum of $Y_{j}$ and a nonstochastic trend. In this paper we consider the problem of estimating the conditional probability that $Y_{{n+1}}$$^{*}$ is bigger than $X_{{n+1}}$, given $X_{1}$, $Y_{1}$$^{*}$,..., $X_{n}$ , $Y_{n}$ $^{*}$. As an estimator for the tolerance probability, an Mann-Whitney statistic based on least squares residuars is suggested. It is shown that the deviations between the estimator and true probability are stochatically bounded with $n^{{-1}$2}/ order. The result may be applied to the stress-strength reliability theory when the stress and strength variables violate the classical iid assumption.umption.n.

  • Even though efficiency of coal-fired power plant is proportional to operating temperature, increasement of operating temperature is limited by a technological level of each power plant components. It is an alternative plan to increase operating pressure up to ultra super critical point for efficiency enhancement. It is difficult to control in that pressure within safety guideline that many unexpected phenomena are happen because that region is highly nonlinear region. In this paper, Advanced process control algorithm, ARX and Fuzzifier, is introduced. Then power plant control logics applied Unit Step Optimizer, which is combination of ARX and Fuzzifier are proposed. Its performance is tested and analyzed with design guide line.

  • 서울대학교 의공학과에서는 부분적인 심부전 판자의 보조 및 치료장비로 전기유압식 좌심실 보조 장치를 개발하고 있다. 이 장비의 경우 인체의 좌심방 및 대동맥에 직접 연결되므로 실제적으로 좌심실 보조 장치의 박출량을 센서를 통하여 알아내는 데에는 여러가지 어려움이 따른다. 이러한 필요성에 비추어 전기유압식 좌심실 보조 장치의 박출량을 시스템을 ARX모델로 모델링하여 RLS(Recursive Least Square) 알고리듬을 이용하여 추정하였다. 그 결과 비교적 높은 정착도로 박출량이 추정됨을 볼 수 있었다. 하지만, ARX모델의 특성상 원래 본 연구의 시작과정에서 분석한 시스템의 동적 특성을 완전하게 반영할 수 없었다. 앞으로 시스템의 파라미터 추정 과정에서 이미 주어진 동적 특성은 고정시키고 나머지 파라미터들만을 추정하는 알고리듬을 개발하는 것도 흥미로운 과제라 할 수 있다.

  • In this paper, we propose a human model for analysing the human work pattern or human fault, where a gantry crane simulator is used to survey the property cf human operation From the input and output cf gantry crane response, we make a human operation model by using conventional ARX identification method To identify the human model, we assume the eight inputs and two outputs. By using the achieved input/output data, we estimate the parameters of ARX for the human work model. To verify the proposed method, we compared the real data with the modeled data, where three kinds of work trajectory path are used.

  • An accurate State Of Charge (SOC) estimation of battery is the most important technique for Electric Vehicles (EVs) and Energy Storage Systems (ESSs). In this paper a new integrated Unscented Kalman Filter-Particle Filter (UKF-PF) is employed to estimate the SOC of a $LiFePO_4$ battery cell and a significant improvement is obtained as compared to the other methods. The parameters of the battery is modeled by the second order Auto Regressive eXogenous (ARX) model and estimated by using Recursive Least Square (RLS) method to calculate value of each element in the model. The proposed algorithm is established by combining a parameter identification technique using RLS method with ARX model and an SOC estimation technique using UKF-PF.

  • In this study, vortex tube system model is developed to predict the temperature of the hot and the cold sides. The vortex tube model is developed based on the system identification method, and the model utilized in this work to design the vortex tube is ARX type (Auto-Regressive with eXtra inputs). The derived polynomial model is validated against experimental data to verify the overall model accuracy. It is also shown that the derived model passes the stability test. It is confirmed that the derived model closely mimics the physical behavior of the vortex tube from both the static and dynamic numerical experiments by changing the angles of the low-temperature side throttle valve, clearly showing temperature separation. These results imply that the system identification based modeling can be a promising approach for the prediction of complex physical systems, including the vortex tube.

  • A propulsion controller for one-time flight vehicles should be designed robustly so that it can complete its missions even in case sensor failures. These vehicles improve their fault tolerance by back-up sensors prepared for the failure of major sensors, which raises the total cost. This paper presents the NARX model which substitutes vehicles' velocity sensors, and detects failure of sensor signals by using model based fault detection. The designed NARX model and fault detection algorithm were optimized and installed in TI's TMS320F2812 so that they were linked to HILS instruments in real-time. The designed propulsion controller made the vehicle to have better fault tolerance with fewer sensors and to complete its missions under a lot of complicated failure situations. The controller's applicability was finally confirmed by tests under the HILS environment.

  • 내장 실시간 시스템이 높은 우선순위의 비동기적 이벤트를 적시에 처리하면서 필수적으로 적은 비용의 선점 다중쓰레드를 지원해야한다. 사용자 레벨 쓰레드는 커널 레벨 쓰레드 보다 적은 비용의 유연한 추상적 기법들을 제공하지만, 기존의 실시간 시스템에서는 스케줄링과 시그날(signal) 처리가 단순하다는 이류로 커널 레벨 쓰레드가 선호 되어왔다. 본 논문에서는 내장 실시간 시스템에 적합한 새로운 사용자 레벨 다중 쓰레드 방식을 제안한다. 이 기법은 가상 쓰레드(virtual threads)와 개선된 스케줄링 이벤트 업콜(scheduling event upcall) 메카니즘을 기반으로 한다. 가상 쓰레드는 사용자 레벨 쓰레드에게 커널 레벨의 실행 환경을 제공할 수 있도록 사용자 레벨 쓰레드를 커널 레벨로 형상화한 것이다. 이 쓰레드는 필요에 의해 잠시동안 사용자 레벨 쓰레드에 묶이는 소동적인 존재이다. 스케줄링 이벤트 업콜 메카니즘은 쓰레드 블록킹과 타이머 만기와 같은 커널 이벤트를 유저 프로세서에게 전달할 수 있게 한다. 본 논문의 개선된 업콜 방식은 scheduler activation과 시그날과 같은 전통적인 업콜 구조에서 예측하기 힘든 요소들을 배제했다. 순간적인 시스템의 과부하 상황에서도 이벤트를 놓치지 않으면서 커널과 유저 프로세서의 비싼 동기화 작업들을 피할 수 있도록 하는 잠금(lock)이 필요 없는 이벤트 큐를 상용한다. 본 기법은 서울대학교 실시간 운영체계 실험실에서 구현한 ARX위에 완벽하게 구현되었다. ARX 사용자 레벨 쓰레드가 사용자 레벨 쓰레드의 장점을 손상하지 않으면서 솔라리스와 윈도즈98과 같은 상용 운영체제의 커널 쓰레드보다 성능이 우수함을 실험적 비교에 의해서 입증한다.분에서 uronic acid를 분리동정하였을 때 점미는 0.90%, 백미는 0.66%, 흑미는 1.8%로서 흑미에서 uronic acid 함량이 두 배 이상으로 나타났다. 흑미의 uronic acid 함량이 가장 많이 용출된 분획은 sodium hydroxide 부분으로서 hemicellulose구조가 polyuronic acid의 형태인 것으로 사료된다. 추출획분의 구성단당은 여러 곡물연구의 보고와 유사하게 glucose, arabinose, xylose 함량이 대체로 높게 나타났다. 점미가 수가용성분에서 goucose대비 용출함량이 고르게 나타나는 경향을 보였고 흑미는 알칼리가용분에서 glucose가 상당량(0.68%) 포함되고 있음을 보여주었고 arabinose(0.68%), xylose(0.05%)도 다른 종류에 비해서 다량 함유한 것으로 나타났다. 흑미는 총식이섬유 함량이 높고 pectic substances, hemicellulose, uronic acid 함량이 높아서 콜레스테롤 저하 등의 효과가 기대되며 고섬유식품으로서 조리 특성 연구가 필요한 것으로 사료된다.리하였다. 얻어진 소견(所見)은 다음과 같았다. 1. 모년령(母年齡), 임신회수(姙娠回數), 임신기간(姙娠其間), 출산시체중등(出産時體重等)의 제요인(諸要因)은 주산기사망(周産基死亡)에 대(對)하여 통계적(統計的)으로 유의(有意)한 영향을 미치고 있어 $25{\sim}29$세(歲)의 연령군에서, 2번째 임신과 2번째의 출산에서 그리고 만삭의 임신 기간에, 출산시체중(出産時體重) $3.50{\sim}3.99kg$사이의 아이에서 그 주산기사망률(周産基死亡率)이 각각 가장 낮았다. 2. 사산(死産)과 초생

Fault Injection Attack on Lightweight Block Cipher CHAM (경량 암호 알고리듬 CHAM에 대한 오류 주입 공격)

  • Recently, a family of lightweight block ciphers CHAM that has effective performance on resource-constrained devices is proposed. The CHAM uses a stateless-on-the-fly key schedule method which can reduce the key storage areas. Furthermore, the core design of CHAM is based on ARX(Addition, Rotation and XOR) operations which can enhance the computational performance. Nevertheless, we point out that the CHAM algorithm may be vulnerable to the fault injection attack which can reveal 4 round keys and derive the secret key from them. As a simulation result, the proposed fault injection attack can extract the secret key of CHAM-128/128 block cipher using about 24 correct-faulty cipher text pairs.

A Basic Study on Connected Ship Navigation System

  • Maritime autonomous surface ships (MASS) has been developed over the years. But, there are many unresolved problems. To overcome these problems, this study proposes connected ship navigation system. The system comprises a slave ship and a master ship that leads the slave ship. To implement this system, communication network, route planning algorithms, and controllers are designed. The communication network is built using the transmission control protocol/Internet protocol (TCP/IP) socket communication method to exchange data between ships. The route planning algorithms calculate the course and distance of the slave ship using the middle latitude sailing method. Nomoto model is used as the mathematical model of the slave ship maneuvering motion. Then, the autoregressive with exogenous variables (ARX) model is used to estimate the parameters of Nomoto model. Based on the above model, the automatic steering controller is designed using a proportional-derivative (PD) control. Also, the speed controller is designed for the slave ship to maintain constant distance from the master ship. Sea experiments are conducted to verify the proposed system with two remodeled boats.
