u-Transportation 구축을 위한 교통카드 연동 Wibro 기반 임베디드 RFID R/W 시스템 개발 (Development of Embedded RFID R/W System based on Wibro for Constructing u-Transportation)

  • 교통카드(Mybi), ISO 14443 A/B, ISO 15693 태그 정보를 IEEE802.11.a/b 및 IEEE802.16 통신 프로토콜을 통해서 데이터 및 이미지 전송이 가능한 PXA ARM 칩을 내장한 임베디드 RFID R/W 시스템을 개발하였다. 전송된 교통카드 정보에 적합한 데이터 및 이미지를 탐색한 후 이를 Wibro를 통해서 RFID 교통카드에 전송하여 과금구조를 효율적으로 관리할 수 있는 RFID R/W 미들웨어를 개발하였다. 향후 된 시스템을 대중교통 시스템에 적용하여 효과적인 대중교통관리가 기대된다.

식기세척기 내부 유동 분포 분석을 위한 유동가시화 기법 개발 (Development of Flow Visualization Technique for Analysis of Flow Distribution inside Dishwasher)

  • A flow visualization technique was developed to analyze flow distribution inside a dishwasher in this study. Then, a new design plan was proposed to improve the efficiency of the dishwasher by the analyzed results and it was confirmed experimentally by the developed technique. Gas flow fields inside a drying duct of a tub for a drying process was investigated by a developed PIV (Particle Image Velocimetry) and a CFD (Computational Fluid Dynamics) method. Also, the flow visualization technique was developed for the liquid flow field of a rotor-arm system to propose the improved design idea. Also, interactions between liquid and gas were observed around the rotor-arm system. The two-phase flow was modified to the liquid flow field because laser sheets are refracted when pass through the two-phase flow. Thus, the flow visualization techniques was developed in this study to measure the instantaneous flow velocities in the liquid quantitatively.

내충격성 향상을 위한 HDD Actuator의 거동 연구 (Analysis of Shock Mechanism and Actuator Behavior of HDD)

  • The shock performance of hard disk drives has been a serious issue for portable computers and AV application HDD. Focusing on the motion of an actuator, we investigated non-operational shock mechanism and studied several parameters that affect the shock performance by experimental analysis. It was found that there are two important factors fort the actuator to endure high shock revel. One is a shock transmissibility and the other is a beating between the arm blade and the suspension. To generalize the shock transmissibility, the concept of shock response spectrum was introduced. The shock response spectrum of the actuator system was obtained experimentally and compared with that of an analytical single degree of freedom model. It was found that there was a good agreement. The first bending natural frequency of the arm blade was found to be the most important factor for the low shock transmissibility. By applying the shock response spectrum and avoiding the beating, we could design an actuator of high shock performance.

상지혈류를 보전한 쇄골하동맥피판 대동맥성형술 (Repair of the Coarctation of the Aorta Using the Subclavian Artery as a Flap and Preservation of Arterial Blood Flow to the Left Arm)

  • From April 1990 through June 1990, three patients underwent subclavian flap aortoplasty for relief of the coarctation of the aorta. The age of the patients were 13 days, 7 months and 39 months and their weights were 3.3kg, 6.5kg, and 11kg, respectively. Two patients had persistence of the ductus arteriosus and all patients had associated intracardiac anomalies. We used the technique devised by Mendonca, namely, repair of the coarctation of the aorta using the subclavian artery as a flap and preservation of the arterial blood flow to the left arm. In one patient with long narrowing of isthmus, significant residual pressure gradient was remained by this technique and we added patch aortoplasty. There were no hospital deaths and follow-up over a one year period shows all patients in good condition.

로보트 기구학을 이용한 3차원 등편의 작업영역의 생성 (Generation of 3-dimensional isocomfort workspace using the robot kinematics)

  • The purpose of this study is to obtain 3-dimensional isocomfort workspace using the robot kinematics, which is based on perceived discomfort in varying postures for manipulating four types of controls. Fifteen healthy male subjects participated in the experiment where their perceived discomfort in the given postures was measured, in which L32 orthogonal array was adopted. The shoulder flexion and adduction-abduction, elbow flexion, types of controls, and right/left hands were selected as experimental variables. The results showed that the shoulder flexion and adduction-abduction, elbow flexion, and types of controls significantly affected the perceived discomfort at .alpha. =0.01. Depending upon the types of control used, regression equations predicting perceived dis- comfort and three dimensional isocomfort workspace were suggested based on the experiemntal cata. Using the equations, driver's isocomfort workspace in his/her cabin for pushing operation was illustrated, in which the robot kinematics was employed to describe the translational relationships between the upper arm and the lower arm/hand. It was ecpected that isocomfort workspace could be used as a valuable guideline to design workplaces ergonomically.

  • Nowadays VDT(Visual Display Termimal) syndrome-especially causes disorder of skeletalmuscular structure, ophthalmic organ, neuropsychiatic parts, etc.-are so common and many people are suffering from it. The purpose of this study is to investigate the clinical result of patients diagnosed as shoulder-arm syndrome by VDT work. This study carried out on 50 patients who have been treated at Cheonan Oriental hospital(Daejon University), February 2nd, 2003 to May 31th, 2004. The patients were classified into age, sex, the period between onset and visit, symptom, clinical diagnosis and so on. And the methods of treatment were acupuncture, herbal medication, oriental physical therapy, Chuna, etc. About treatment results, Exellant were 12(24.00%), Improve were 25(50.00%), Mild improve were 11(22.00%), Failure were 2(4.00%)

A Hypervisor for ARM based Embedded Systems

  • In this paper, we propose a hypervisor for embedded systems based on ARM microprocessor. The proposed hypervisor makes it possible to run several real-time kernels concurrently on a single embedded system by virtualizing its microprocessor. With assistance of MMU, it supports virtual memory which enables each guest operating system has its own address space. Exploiting the fact that most embedded systems use memory-mapped I/O device, it provides a mechanism to distribute an external interrupt to virtual machines properly. It also achieves load balancing through live migration which moves a running virtual machine to other embedded system. Unlike other para-virtualization techniques, minor modifications are needed to run it on the hypervisor. Extensive performance measurement studies are conducted to show that the proposed hypervisor has enough potentiality of its real-world application.

반능동 현수장치의 실시간 시뮬레이션용 궤도차량 모델 개발 (Development of a Tracked Vehicle Model for Real-time Simulation of Semi-active Suspension System)

  • In this study, a real-time simulation model was developed for tracked vehicles with in-arm type semi-active hydro-pneumatic suspension unit using MATLAB S-functions. Since the vehicle model uses relative coordinates and massless link elements, the developed model has an enhanced analytic time performance. Through the comparison of simulation results with multi-body software(DADS), the vehicle model is verified. A controller using on-off skyhook control algorithm is designed with the pilot-centre]led proportional valve based on conventional damper characteristics. Exploiting the developed tracked vehicle model with other subsystem model such as a controller model, a suspension unit model, and a test road model, computer simulations are carried out. Control simulation results with the developed tracked vehicle model show that the semi-active suspension control system has a better performance than the conventional suspension system.

  • 최근 컴퓨터 시스템에 탑재되는 프로세서에는 하드웨어적으로 가상화를 지원하기 위하여 커널 보다 상위의 권한을 가진 특별한 모드를 도입하고 있다. 그러나, 가상화를 요하지 않는 시스템이 대다수인 상황에서 해당 모드가 가진 특별한 권한은 시스템 로깅 및 보안에 유용하에 활용될 여지가 있다. 본 논문은 이를 위해 Sorvisor 라는 마이크로 하이퍼바이저를 개발함으로써 해당 모드를 활용할 수 있는 환경을 제공할 수 있도록 하고 있다.

  • 임베디드 소프트웨어의 경우, 시스템 제약으로 인해서 일반 소프트웨어에 비해 최적화의 역할이 상대적으로 매우 중요하다. 본 논문에서는 임베디드 시스템 환경에서 다양한 코드 최적화 기법을 적용하고 각 최적화 기법의 성능 향상기여도를 평가하여, 다양한 최적화 전략에 대한 효율성을 분석하였다. 이는 향후 임베디드 소프트웨어 엔지니어를 위한 코드 최적화 가이드라인으로 활용되거나, 자동화된 최적 임베디드 코드 생성을 위한 기초 자료로 사용될 수 있을 것으로 기대한다.
