동전기-생물학적복원기술과 계면활성제를 이용한 phenanthrene 오염토양의 정화

  • The electrokinetic bioremediation employing electrolyte circulation method was carried out for the cleanup of phenanthrene-contaminated kaolinite, and microorganism used in the biodegradation of phenanthrene was Sphingomonas sp. 3Y. The electrolyte circulation method supplied ionic nutrientsand the microorganism into soil, and inhibited the significant pH change of soil by increasing the soil buffering capacity by providing phosphate buffer compounds. When the remediation process was conducted without surfactant, the removal efficiency of phenanthrene, at the initial concentration of 200 ppm, was 69% for only 7 days. Higher microbial population and lower phenanthrene concentration were observed in the anode and middle regions of soil specimen than in the cathode region. The higher density of microorganism was because the microbial movement was in the direction of the anode part due to the negative surface charge. When Triton X-100 and APG of 20 g/1 were used to improve the bioavailability of phenanthrene strongly adsorbed onto soil surface, about 90 and 39% of phenanthrene removal were obtained. Consequently, it was confirmed that the microorganism preferred APC to phenanthrene as carbon source and so the removal efficiency with APG decreased less than that without APG.

  • The gas insulation switchgear, which is a device for protecting a power system, cannot be supported by the insulation gas itself in a charge unit stored in a metal container. Therefore, molding technology is required to manufacture a gas insulation switch spacer. The APG method injection molding simulation was performed by applying the variables obtained through the physical properties of an epoxy composite used for manufacturing an insulating spacer to a moldflow software. After varying the temperature conditions of heater in the simulation, the thermal characteristics and the degree of hardening of the spacer were analyzed, based on which the optimum process conditions are presented.

  • The stress is an unavoidable result and a complex phenomenon in modem society. too, Human activity changes under control of the stress. The stress is a reaction to adrenalin or other stress hormones. It provides the power for fighting and the energy for going away from dangers. Because of the stress, our bodies increase the pulse, the blood pressure and the breath for more blood and more oxygen. So, in this research, we are measuring those which was increased by the stress. Also we will examine the change of HRV and APG on music. After that, in order to reduce the stress, we will design matching system that is based on the sense for music by using Zigbee.

  • APT(Asian-Pacific Telecommunity)는 아시아-태평양지역 국가의 공동이익을 도모하기 위하여 결성된 아-태지역 전파협의체 조직으로, WRC(세계전파통신회의)회의에서의 아-태지역 주관청의 공동이익을 얻기 위해 APG(APT Conference Preparatory Group for WRC)회의를 연간 1회의 비율로 개최하고 있다. 2012년의 WRC-12회의에 대비하여 아태지역 회원국의 최종 공동의견서를 작성하기 위해, APG-12 5차회의가 2011년 8월 29일-9월 3일 부산에서 개최되었으며, 전파천문업무 보호 및 22 GHz 대역 달탐사, 38 GHz 대역 Space-VLBI운용대역과 관련된 WRC-12 의제 1.6, 1.11, 1.12 등에 대한 회의가 있었다. 따라서 한국천문연구원에서는 달탐사계획과 관련된 22 GHz 대역에서의 전파천문업무 및 우주연구업무의 원활한 운용을 위해, APG-12 5차회의에 참석하여 WRC-12회의에 제출하기 위한 아-태지역 국가의 공동의견서 작성에 주도적인 역할을 담당하였다. 본 발표에서는 국내의 달탐사계획과 관련되어, APG-12 5차 회의에 제안한 우리나라의 기고서 제안 내용 및 동 회의에서의 최종 아태지역 회원국 공동의견서 결과 및 향후 대응책에 대해서도 알아보고자 한다.

WRC-12 의제 1.6은 수동업무(전파천문업무, 지구탐사위성 및 우주연구업무)를 능동업무의 유해혼신으로부터 보호하기 위하여 제정한 전파규칙 각주 5.565조의 개정 검토와 관련된 의제이다. 따라서 한국천문연구원에서는 275 GHz 이상 대역에서 전파천문업무의 원활한 운용을 위해, APG-12 5차회의에 참석하여 WRC-12회의에 제출하기 위한 아-태지역 국가의 공동의견서 작성에 주도적인 역할을 담당하였다. 본 발표에서는 APG-12 5차 회의에 제안한 우리나라의 기고서 제안 내용 및 동 회의에서 의 최종 아태지역 회원국 공동의견서 결과 및 향후 대응책에 대해서도 알아보고자 한다.

NMR Structural Analysis and 3D Homology Modelling of APG8a from Arabidopsis thaliana

  • The gene coding for APG8a (At4g21980), a protein from Arabidopsis thaliana, is involved in the autophagy process. The protein is an interesting candidate for structure determination by NMR spectroscopy. Toward this end, APG8a has been produced recombinantly in Escherichia coli and typical NMR experiments such as $^{15}N-HSQC$, HNCA, HN(CO)CA, CBCA(CO)NH, HCCH-TOCSY, HNCO were performed. The backbone resonances, HN, N, CA, CB, and C' were sequence-specifically assigned, and the secondary structures including 3 $\alpha$ helices and $4\beta$ strands were deduced based on the assignments. Due to the intrinsic flexibility or the effect of the denaturant, the backbone resonances were not fully observed. Since the structure calculation by NMR data was not possible, the 3-dimensional model was built based on the sequence homology, and compared with the NMR results. The overall structure of the model could explain and complement the NMR derived secondary structures.

계면활성제와 동전기 기술을 이용한 오염토양정화에서 APG사용의 타당성에 관한 연구

  • Surfactant-enhanced electrokinetic remediation is an emerging technology that can effectively remove hydrocarbons from low-permeability soils. In this study, the electrokinetic remediation using APG(alkyl polyglucoside) was conducted for the removal of phenanthrene from kaolinite. APG, which was an environmentally compatible and non-toxic surfactant, was used at concentrations of 5, 15, and 30g/1 to enhance the solubility of phenanthrene. Also an electrolyte solution was used for considering a relation between electrical potential gradient and removal efficiency of phenanthrene. When the electrolyte solution was used, it represented low electrical potential gradient, but the removal efficiency was lower than that of no electrolyte system. Removal efficiency of phenanthrene in EK process using surfactant solution depended on concentration of surfactant. Because surfactant increased the solubility and the mobility of phenanthrene, when surfactant concentration was high, high removal efficiency was observed.

Befitting Test of Magnetic Fluid to Speaker Damper (자성유체의 스피커 댐핑효과에 관하여)

  • Magnetic fluids have been used in the commercial area, e. g damping, sealing and hydrodynamic bearing. In this study, magnetic fluid was made for damping in loudspeaker. The magnetic fluids were snthesized by dispersing the magnetite powder which was obtained by precipitation method in Yubase oil. When the magnetic fluid was applied to a 6 cm tweeter, improvements of damping, centering and heat transger in a loudspeaker were noted. Also we compared the performance of the magnetic fluid with 20 % magnetite in the oil and the one of APG-815 (Niphon Ferrofluidic Co.)

Interscale transport of the Reynolds stress in a turbulent boundary layer subjected to adverse pressure gradient (역압력 구배 난류 경계층에서 레이놀즈 응력의 스케일 간 수송)

  • An interscale transport of the turbulent kinetic energy (TKE) and Reynolds shear stress (RSS) is examined in an adverse pressure gradient (APG) turbulent boundary layer (TBL). The direct numerical simulation data of an APG TBL at Reτ = 834 and β = 1.45 is employed. The TKE and RSS transport equations are divided into large and small scales, leading to the introduction of interscale transport. The TKE mainly transfers from large scales to small ones in the outer region, and vice versa for the RSS. An interscale transport of TKE and inverse interscale transport of RSS are amplified by APG, and the latter results in the increase in large scales of TKE production. Some of outer large scales of enhanced TKE transfer to small scales and then dissipate by viscosity, and the remains dissipate turbulent-non-turbulent interfaces by turbulent transport.
