HF통신 시스템을 위한 ALE 신호의 동기 (Synchronization of ALE signal for HF communication systems)

  • Recently, by emerging of the ALE techniques that make it possible to providereliable communications link automatically, high frequency communiation is newly used as emergency communication and back-up for satellite communications. ALE signal is transmitted in burst, and the received signal is subject to distortions by detrimental multipath fading channels. In the case of that channel, the performance of ALE system is highly dependent upon that of synchronization techniques. In this paper, M-ary FSK signals are detected by a bank of bandpass filter, which is implemented using recusive DFT(Discrete Fourier Transform). Also an acquisition and trancking algorithm are designed uisng parallel structure and early-late-gate methods respectively. Finally, we verify the performance ofthe proposed synchronization algorithm by the computer simulation.

  • This paper describes the application of a neural network based adaptive line enhancer (ALE) for enhancement of the weak QRS complex corrupted with background noise. Modified fully-connected recurrent neural network is used as a nonlinear adaptive filter in the ALE. The connecting weights between network nodes as well as the parameters of the node activation function are updated at each iteration using the gradient descent algorithm. The real ECG signal buried with moderate and severe background noise is applied to the ALE. Simulation results show that the neural network based ALE performs well the enhancement of the QRS complex from noisy ECG signals.

  • In this paper we have disigned and implemented a real time ALE (adaptive line enhancer) using a high speed digital processor,NEC 7720. For the ALE system, we have employed an adaptive LMS(least mean square) algorithm proposed by Widrow and Hoff and a 32-order FIR(finite impulse response) filter. Extensive computer simulations have been performed to investigate the peformance of the ALE and to determine necessary parameters for hardware design. The developed software for an NEC 7720 was tested in real time operation using an NEC7720 hardware emulator. The ALE has been tested by sinusoidal waves and real CW (continuous wave) signals. It was found that the experimental results were well agreed with the computer simulation results. Thus it can be concluded that the ALE is useful for detection and enhancement of a sinusoidal signal which is corrupted by an additive Gaussian noise.

  • The traditional computational fluid or structure dynamics analysis approaches have contributed to solve many delicate engineering problems. But for the most of recent engineering problems which are influenced by fluid-structure interaction effect strongly, traditional individual approaches have limited analysis abilities for the exact simulation. Owing to above-mentioned reason, nowadays fluid-structure interaction analysis has become a matter of concern and interest. FSI analysis require several unprecedented techniques for the combining individual analysis tool into integrated analysis tool. The Arbitrary Lagrangian-Eulerian(ALE, in short) method is the new description of continum motion,which combines the advantages of the classical kinematical descriptions, i.e. Lagrangian and Eulerian description, while minimizing their respective drawbacks. In this paper, the ALE description is adapted to simulate fluid-structure interaction problems. An automatic re-mesh algorithm and a fluid-structure coupling process are included to analyze the interaction and moving motion during the 2-D axisymmetric solid rocket interior FSI phenomena simulation.

  • 본 논문은 유동과 구조물간의 상호작용으로 인해 유체나 구조, 한 쪽 분야에서의 접근으로는 한계가 있는 고체 로켓 내부 유동-구조-연소 결합 문제를 해결하기 위해 FSI를 이용한 전산해석을 목적으로 한다. ALE(Arbitrary Lagrangian Eulerian) 기술 방식을 도입하여 계산 격자의 움직임을 허용하면서도 격자에 대한 연속체 입자의 상대운동이 가능하도록 하였다. 유체 영역의 해석 프로그램은 2차원 압축성 비정상 유동 해석을 위한 오일러 방정식을 ALE 형태를 변형시켜 적용 하였고, 고체 영역의 해석 프로그램은 ALE를 고려한 2차원 동적 유한 요소 방법을 사용하였다.

  • A computational analysis of engineering problems with moving domain or/and boundary according to either Lagrangian or Eulerian approach may encounter inherent numerical difficulties, the extreme mesh distortion in the former and the material boundary indistinctness in the latter. In order to overcome such defects in classical numerical approaches, the ALE(arbitrary Lagrangian Eulerian) method is widely being adopted in which the finite element mesh moves with arbitrary velocity. This paper is concerned with the ALE finite element formulation, aiming at the dynamic response analysis of baffled fuel-storage container in yawing motion, for which the coupled time integration scheme, the remeshing and smoothing algorithm and the mesh velocity determination are addressed. Numerical simulation illustrating theoretical works is also presented.

외력에 의해 요소이동이 발생되는 케이블-막 구조물의 해석 방법 (Analysis Method for Cable-Membrane Structures with Element Slipping)

  • 본 연구의 주 목적은 다양한 요인에 의해 케이블-막구조물에 요소이동이 발생할 때, 당초 해석 시 가정되었던 좌표나 응력상태의 변화에 대해 막과 케이블 사이에 발생하는 요소이동의 방향이나 크기를 산정하고, 요소이동이 발생한 후 응력상태의 변화를 규명하는 것이다. 먼저 케이블 보강 막구조물의 요소이동 문제를 해석하기 위한 이론적 배경인 ALE 유한요소법의 개념을 소개하고, ALE 개념이 도입된 케이블-막구조물에서의 요소이동을 고려한 강성매트릭스를 작성하여 해석 프로그램을 개발한다. 개발된 프로그램의 타당성을 검증하기 위해 다양한 예제 해석을 수행한다.

  • 본 연구는 생존성 측면에서 잠수함의 내충격 설계시 고려해야 하는 수중폭발 충격응답해석 기법에 관하여 고찰하였다. 생존성을 고려하는 것은 현대의 모든 함정설계에 필수요건이며, 특히 잠수함의 수중폭발에 대한 내충격 설계는 반드시 고려되어야 할 사항이다. 기존의 수중함에 대한 내충격 설계는 가정된 이론에 의한 충격가속도를 정적해석의 결과를 통하여 단순하게 적용하였으나 본 연구에서는 직접해석법에 수중폭발 충격응답해석을 수행함으로써 기존의 방법보다 매우 합리적이고 신뢰성 높은 결과를 제시하였다. 특히 본 연구에서는 직접해석법 중에서 기존 수상함에서 널리 사용하고 있는 LS-DYNA/USA code일 적용보다 LS-DYNA code만으로 사용자가 보다 손쉽게 접근할 수 있는 ALE기법을 이용하여 잠수함 액화산소탱크를 대상으로 수중폭발해석 방식을 제안하고자 하였다.

3-Dim Simplified ALE Hydrocode 개발 및 Taylor Impact Test (Development of 3-Dim Simplified ALE Hydrocode: Application to Taylor Impact Test)

  • A new hydrocode which is still under development using Lagrangian, Eulerian and arbitrary Lagrangian-Eulerian operators, has been described. The three operators are implemented into a single framework by incorporating the sequential three stages of Lagrangian, remesh and remap stages. Several numerical schemes used for each operator are discussed briefly in this paper. In order to evaluate the characteristics of each operator, the Taylor Impact Test has been simulated using each operator and the results are compared. Currently the code is 1st order accuracy in the material interface tracking algorithm and can not handle multimaterial in the mixed cell. The areas of possible enhancement of the code are also discussed.

Application of Arbitrary Lagrangian-Eulerian Technique for Air Explosion Structural Analysis for Naval Ships Using LS-DYNA

  • Survivability improvement method for naval ship design has been continually developed. In order to design naval ships considering survivability, it is demanded that designers should establish reasonable damage conditions by air explosion. Explosion may induce local damage as well as global collapse to the ship. Therefore possible damage conditions should be realistically estimated in the design stage. In this study the authors used ALE technique, one of the structure-fluid interaction techniques, to simulate air explosion and investigated survival capability of damaged naval ships. Lagrangian-Eulerian coupling algorithm, equation of the state for explosive and air, and simple calculation method for explosive loading were also reviewed. It is shown that air explosion analysis using ALE technique can evaluate structural damage after being attacked. This procedure can be applied to the real structural design quantitatively by calculating surviving time and probability.
