Finite Element Model Updating Based on Data Fusion of Acceleration and Angular Velocity (가속도 및 각속도 데이터 융합 기반 유한요소모델 개선)

  • The finite element (FE) model updating is a commonly used approach in civil engineering, enabling damage detection, design verification, and load capacity identification. In the FE model updating, acceleration responses are generally employed to determine modal properties of a structure, which are subsequently used to update the initial FE model. While the acceleration-based model updating has been successful in finding better approximations of the physical systems including material and sectional properties, the boundary conditions have been considered yet to be difficult to accurately estimate as the acceleration responses only correspond to translational degree-of-freedoms (DOF). Recent advancement in the sensor technology has enabled low-cost, high-precision gyroscopes that can be adopted in the FE model updating to provide angular information of a structure. This study proposes a FE model updating strategy based on data fusion of acceleration and angular velocity. The usage of both acceleration and angular velocity gives richer information than the sole use of acceleration, allowing the enhanced performance particularly in determining the boundary conditions. A numerical simulation on a simply supported beam is presented to demonstrate the proposed FE model updating approach.

Analysis of the acceleration measured on Korea and France high speed railways using UIC518 code (UIC518 방법에 의한 국내 및 프랑스 고속철도 차량 진동가속도 분석)

  • Track irregularities can be evaluated not only directly by track inspection but also indirectly by measurement of carbody accelerations and many researches are being conducted. Carbody accelerations were measured on the Kyeongbu high speed railway and France high speed line to investigate the situation of the track maintenance at Korea high speed line by using indirect method. Digital signal processing for the measured acceleration data were conducted according to UIC518 code. Since the vehicle speed affects the car body acceleration, the lateral and vertical acceleration of the car body were classified according to the vehicle speed and the distribution characteristics of these acceleration were investigated and evaluated by UIC518 criteria. Finally, the running behavior of KTX on Korea high speed railway were compared with that on France. Distribution characteristics of these acceleration were evaluated and discussed in terms of the track maintenance in Korea high speed line.

Studies of Gangjung (4) - Relationship of Acceleration Storage and Room Temperature Storage of Insam (Ginseng) Gangjung - (강정에 관한 연구(4) - 인삼 강정의 가속저장과 실온저장과의 관계 -)

  • This study was to carried out to estimate the relationship between acceleration storage and room temperature storage of gangjung (control unit) and dried insam gangjung (experiment unit), by acid value and peroxide value. The result were summarized as follows. : 1. Test for acid value of control unit, every 1 hour after acceleration storage is similar to each 7 days after room temperature storage is imilar to each 7.5 days after room temeprature storage. 2. Test for peroxide value of control unit, evry 1 hour after acceleration storage is similar to each 7.5 days after room temperature storage but to test peroxide value of experiment unit, every 1 hour after acceleration storage is imilar to each 7.7 days after room temperature storage. 3. In case of the oxidized flavor, control unit is not detected during storage stability but the experiment unit is detected unit is detected 1 hour ahead of acceleration storage than room temperature storage.

Public Awareness of Digital Healthcare Services (디지털 헬스케어 서비스에 대한 일반인의 인식)

  • According to the rapid population aging and the increase of the number of people with chronic diseases, the digital healthcare services are getting more and more attention. Recent improvement in information technology has expanded the consumers of digital healthcare service from the patients to the general population. Therefore, there is a growing need for studies on the status and needs of digital healthcare users in general. This study conducted a survey of 1,000 people on their perception and attitude about four areas of digital healthcare: internet health information service, smartphone healthcare application, wearable device, and u-health. The questionnaire asked the respondents about their past experience of using digital healthcare services, the purpose of use and point to be improved. The respondents were also asked about new type and contents of digital healthcare service which they would like to use. The survey results will help developers of digital healthcare service by improving their understanding and identifying unmet needs from the general population.

Effect of Demand Spectrums on the Accuracy of Capacity Spectrum Method (요구곡선 산정방법에 따른 능력스펙트럼법의 유효성 평가 및 비교)

  • While transforming the inelastic system into the equivalent elastic one gives an advantage of simpler analysis, the actual inelastic behavior of the system is hardly modeled in the capacity spectrum method (CSM). Therefore, the accuracy of CSM depends on the precise estimation of equivalent period and damping ratio as well as the modification of the elastic response spectrum and the corresponding demand spectrum. In this paper, the effect of demand spectrums on the accuracy of CSM is evaluated. First, the response reduction factors provided in ATC-40 and Euro Code are evaluated. Numerical analysis results indicated that the acceleration responses obtained using the factor of Euro Code are closer to the actual response than those obtained using the factors of ATC-40. Next, the accuracy of CSM is evaluated constructing the demand spectrum using the absolute acceleration responses and pseudo acceleration responses. The results obtained using the absolute acceleration responses were found to be generally larger than those obtained using the pseudo ones. Since CSM often underestimates the response, the use of absolute acceleration response gives the response relatively closer to the exact ones. However, the difference becomes negligible as the hardening ratio and the yield strength ratio become larger.

A Study on Estimation of Gait Acceleration Signal Using Gait Video Signal in Wearable Device (걸음걸이 비디오를 활용한 웨어러블 기기 사용자 걸음걸이 가속도 신호 추정)

  • Researches that apply the acceleration signal due to user's gait measured at the wearable device to the authentication technology are being introduced recently. The gait acceleration signal based authentication technologies introduced so far have assumed that an attacker can obtain a user's gait acceleration signal only by attaching accelerometer directly to user's body. And the practical attack method for gait acceleration signal based authentication technology is mimic attack and it uses a person whose physical condition is similar to the victim or identifies the gait characteristics through the video of the gait of the victim. However, mimic attack is not effective and attack success rate is also very low, so it is not considered a serious threat. In this paper, we propose Video Gait attack as a new attack method for gait acceleration signal based authentication technology. It is possible to know the position of the wearable device from the user's gait video signal and generate a signal that is very similar to the accelerometer's signal using dynamic equation. We compare the user's gait acceleration signal and the signal that is calculated from video of user's gait and dynamic equation with experiment data collected from eight subjects.

A Study for Detecting Fuel-cut Driving of Vehicle Using GPS (GPS를 이용한 차량 연료차단 관성주행의 감지에 관한 연구)

  • The fuel-cut coast-down driving mode is activated when the acceleration pedal is released with transmission gear engaged, and it's a default function for electronic-controlled engine of vehicles. The fuel economy becomes better because fuel injection stops during fuel-cut driving mode. A fuel-cut detection method is suggested in the study and it's based on the speed, acceleration and road gradient data from GPS sensor. It detects fuel-cut driving mode by comparing calculated acceleration and realtime acceleration value. The one is estimated with driving resistance in the condition of fuel-cut driving and the other is from GPS sensor. The detection accuracy is about 80% when the method is verified with road driving data. The result is estimated with 9,600 data set of vehicle speed, acceleration, fuel consumption and road gradient from test driving on the road of 12km during 16 minutes, and the road slope is rather high. It's easy to detect fuel-cut without injector signal obtained by connecting wire. The detection error is from the fact that the variation range of speed, acceleration and road gradient data, used for road resistance force, is larger than the value of fuel consumption data.

  • While analyzing traffic flow, speed, traffic volume, and density are important macroscopic indicators, and acceleration and spacing are the important microscopic indicators. The speed and traffic volume can be collected with the currently installed traffic information collection devices. However, acceleration and spacing data are necessary for safety and autonomous driving but cannot be collected using the current traffic information collection devices. 'You Look Only Once'(YOLO), an object recognition technique, has excellent accuracy and real-time performance and is used in various fields, including the transportation field. In this study, to measure acceleration and spacing using YOLO, we developed a model that measures acceleration and spacing through changes in vehicle speed at each interval and the differences in the travel time between vehicles by setting the measurement intervals closely. It was confirmed that the range of acceleration and spacing is different depending on the traffic characteristics of each point, and a comparative analysis was performed according to the reference distance and screen angle to secure the measurement rate. The measurement interval was 20m, and the closer the angle was to a right angle, the higher the measurement rate. These results will contribute to the analysis of safety by intersection and the domestic vehicle behavior model.

  • The thesis shows that we gauged vibration of vehicular load regarding WPC girder bridge and researched into dynamic characteristics(natural frequency, vibration acceleration) of WPC girder bridge. By the basic of that, we researched on vibration serviceability by looking over and being compared to vibration criteria we had before. In the thesis, the gauged vibration made an analysis of vertical acceleration through FFT method and evaluated vibration serviceability about vibration sense the body feels by means of the standard of ISO assessment standard and Meister assessment standard by referring to analysis data. This research on bridge is WPC girder bridge of 90m span, width of 5.5m, and the experiment was gauged by a fluent which is right way and inverse way about dump truck of gross 270kN. Acceleration was located in the middle of 1st span, 2nd span, 3rd span. As a result of appraisal standard of Meister, the vibrations of the bridge have distributed between "Level C, Strongly Perceptible" and "Level B, Disturbing". Also the vibration can be attacked with unpleasant feeling. As a result of appraisal standard of ISO, from vibration influence didn't come to 60s, and reduced comfort boundary in part of most rigorous standard that such a case didn't happen.
