  • In this paper, an improvement of the EBP(error back propagation) learning speed using an acceleration algorithm is described. Using an acceleration algorithm known as the Partan method in the gradient search algorithm, learning speed is 25% faster than the original EBP algorithm in the simulaion results.

  • Estimation of the general along-track acceleration was performed in the KOMPSAT-1 orbit determination process. Several sets of the atmospheric drag and solar radiation pressure coefficients were also derived with the different spacecraft area. State vectors in the orbit determination with the different spacecraft area were compared in the time frame. The orbit prediction using the estimated coefficients was performed and compared with the orbit determination results. The orbit prediction with the different general acceleration values was also carried out for the comparison.

  • For the numerical solution of frictional dynamic contact problems, correct contact points and displacements are determined by iteratively reducing the displacement error vector monotonically toward zero And spurious oscillations are prevented from the solution by enforcing the velocity and acceleration compatibilities of the contact points with the corresponding error vectors. Numerical simulations are conducted to demonstrate the accuracy of the solution and the necessity of the velocity and acceleration compatibilities on the contact surface.

  • The re-enty guidance design involves trajectory optimization, generation of a reference drag acceleration profile with the satisfaction of trajectory constraints. This reference drag acceleration profile can be considered as the reference trajectory. This paper proposes the atmospheric re-entry system which is composed of longitudinal, later and range control. This paper shows the a performance of a re-entry guidance and control system using feedback linearization control and predictive control.

  • This article presents a new acceleration/deceleration method for real-time control of autonomous mobile robots. In this method, a function which produces the table of acceleration/deceleration in real-time is proposed. This function, while satisfying the basic concept of mechanics, can choose both various ranges of velocity and distance ranges for the selected velocities. Moreover it can control motors with real time. This function is convenient to be realized by programming. and it is faster than other functions because it can be made by assembly language.

  • In this study, three-dimensional inite element model was developed and analyzed or DAI using ABAQUS. To verify the developed FE model, simulated results were compared to experimental results of human cadaver by Nahum et. al. (1977). The effect of acceleration pattern and accelerating duration time or DAI was analyzed by means of maximum shear stress and pressure distribution. DAI was favored or angular acceleration rather than linear acceleration, and occured in brain stem, pons and midbrain easily as accelerating duration time was increased.

  • Rarefied cosmic plasmas generally do not achieve thermodynamic equilibria, and a natural consequence of this is the presence of a significant population of charged particles with energies well above those of the bulk population. These are exemplified by the galactic cosmic rays, but the importance of these high energy populations extends well beyond that context. I review here some of the basic issues associated with the propagation and acceleration of cosmic rays, especially in the context of collisionless plasma shocks.

  • To study the structure and dynamics of a cosmic-ray-plasma system, hydrodynamic approach is a fairly good approximation. In this approach, there are three basic energy transfer mechanisms: work done by the plasma flow against pressure gradients, cosmic ray streaming instability and stochastic acceleration. The interplay between these mechanisms gives a range of structures. We present some results of different version of the hydrodynamic approach, e.g., flow structure, injection, instability, acceleration with and without shocks.

  • A novel control strategy for the induction motor drive, based on the field acceleration method, is presented. The torque is controlled through variations of the stator flux angular velocity. The stator flux is controlled by using a feed forward control scheme, with the stator flux reference vector adjusted so as to obtain the fixed rotor flux amplitude.

  • In this paper the dynamic characteristics of a Swing Motion Bogie, such as a critical speed and a carbody vibration, are investigated in reply to the request of the Meridian Rail Corporation in the United States. Also described are experimental results of the maximum speed, the derailment coefficient, the lateral force, the vertical force, the vibration acceleration and steady state lateral acceleration measured from main line tests.
