Microwave model and high-frequency measurement of the ACF flip-chip interconnection was investigated using a microwave network analysis. S-parameters of on-chip and substrate were separately measured in the frequency range of 200 MHz to 20 GHz using a microwave network analyzer HP8510 and cascade probe. And the cascade transmission matrix conversion was performed. The same measurements and conversion techniques were conducted on the assembled test chip and substrate at the same frequency range. Then impedance values in ACF flip-chip interconnection were extracted from cascade transmission matrix. ACF flip chip interconnection has only below 0.1nH, and very stable up to 13 GHz. Over the 13 GHz, there was significant loss because of epoxy capacitance of ACF. However, the addition of SiO$_2$filler to the ACF lowered the dielectric constant of the ACF materials resulting in an increase of resonance frequency up to 15 GHz. High frequency behavior of metal Au stud bumps was investigated. The resonance frequency of the metal stud bump interconnects is higher than that of ACF flip-chip interconnects and is not observed at the microwave frequency band. The extracted model parameters of adhesive flip chip interconnects were analyzed with the considerations of the characteristics of material and the design guideline of ACA flip chip for high frequency applications was provided.
Accessory middle cerebral artery (MCA) is an infrequent vascular anomaly of the brain. Cerebral aneurysms associated with this anomalous artery are also very rare. To our knowledge, there have only been ten previous reports of an aneurysm associated with accessory MCA. The authors present two patients with accessory MCA-related aneurysms. A 38-year-old male and a 59-year-old female both presented with sudden-onset severe headache. In both patients, computed tomography (CT) scan revealed subarachnoid hemorrhage. A subsequent angiogram demonstrated an accessory MCA arising from the anterior cerebral artery (ACA) and a saccular aneurysm at the anterior communicating artery (ACoA) complex associated with an accessory MCA. Surgical clipping allowed for complete exclusion of the aneurysm from the arterial circulation. Based on our review of the ten cases of aneurysms associated with accessory MCA documented in the literature, we suggest that accessory MCA-related aneurysms can be classified according to whether the accessory MCA originates from the proximal A1 segment or from the ACoA complex. We also emphasize the importance of precise interpretation of preoperative angiograms and intraoperative precaution in determining the presence of this anomalous artery prior to temporary clip placement.
The Affordable Care Act (ACA) was signed into law on March 23, 2010 and will fundamentally alter health care in the United States for years to come. The US is currently one of the only industrialized countries without universal health insurance. The new law expands existing public insurance for the poor. It also provides financial credits to low income individuals and some small businesses to purchase health insurance. By government estimates, the law will bring insurance to 30 million people. The law also provides for a significant new investment in prevention and wellness. It appropriates an unprecedented $15 billion in a prevention and public health fund, to be disbursed over 10 years, as well as creates a national prevention council to oversee the government's prevention efforts. This paper discusses 3 major prevention provisions in the legislation: 1) the waiving of cost-sharing for clinical preventive services, 2) new funding for community preventive services, and 3) new funding for workplace wellness programs. The paper examines the scientific evidence behind these provisions as well as provides examples of some model programs. Taken together, these provisions represent a significant advancement for prevention in the US health care system, including a shift towards healthier environments. However, in this turbulent economic and political environment, there is a real threat that much of the law, including the prevention provisions, will not receive adequate funding.

A simple quantitative method to measure the degree of silanization was developed, based on the reaction of ninhydrin with the silanization reagent (3-aminopropyltriethoxysilane, 3-APTES). At low concentrations (0.001-0.005%, v/v) of 3-APTES, a good linearity was obtained when 3-APTES reacted with undiluted ninhydrin for 30 min. On the other hand, at high levels of 3-APTES, a linearity was obtained when 3-APTES reacted with 3-fold diluted ninhydrin for 20 min. The reliability of regression curves mentioned above was expressed as a regression coefficient ($R^2$) of more than 0.99. Immobilization of different enzymes was introduced via silanization by using the 3-APTES in order to confirm the validity of the ninhydrin method. When yield for each step in the immobilizatio process were compared, yields of both glutaraldehyde and protein were founc to have the same tendency to silanization. These results shw that the ninhydrin method was suitable for quatitative analysis of silanization and that yields of immobilization could be pre-estimated by measuring silanization levels using the ninhydrin method.
Cephalosporin-C deacetylase (CAH) catalyzes the deacetylation of cephalosporin derivatives. A novel gene encoding the CAH from Bacillus sp. KCCM10143 was cloned and sepuenced. The uncleotide sequence contained an open reading frame encoding a polypeptide consisting of 217 amino acids and a molecular weight of 24 kDa which was in good agreement with the value obtained by sodium dodecylsulfate-polyacrylamide gel electrophoresis. An expression plasmid was constructed by inserting the CAH gene into the region of the pTrc99A expression vector. An active from of the CAH protein was expressed in the soluble fraction obtained after cell disruption. in fermentation using a 5-1 jar fementer, the transformant E. coli JM109 (pDST654) produced 4.12 U of CAH per ml of culture during 16 h of incubation.

In this paper, thermo-mechanical and rheological properties of NCPs (Non-Conductive Pastes) depending on silica filler contents and diluent contents were investigated. And then, thermal cycling (T/C) reliability of flip chip assembly using selected NCPs was verified. As the silica filler content increased, thermo-mechanical properties of NCPs were changed. The higher the silica filler content was added, glass transition temperature ($T_g$) and storage modulus at room temperature became higher. While, coefficient of thermal expansion (CTE) decreased. On the other hand, rheological properties of NCPs were significantly affected by diluent content. As the diluent content increased, viscosity of NCP decreased and thixotropic index increased. However, the addition of diluent deteriorated thermo-mechanical properties such as modulus, CTE, and $T_g$. Based on these results, three candidates of NCPs with various silica filler and diluent contents were selected as adhesives for reliability test of flip chip assemblies. T/C reliability test was performed by measuring changes of NCP bump connection resistance. Results showed that flip chip assembly using NCP with lower CTE and higher modulus exhibited better T/C reliability behavior because of reduced shear strain in NCP adhesive layer.

In this paper, the direct bonding process between FPCB and HPCB was studied. By using an ultrasonic horn which is mounted on the ultrasonic bonding machine, it is alternatively possible to bond the gold pads attached on the FPCB and HPCB at room temperature without an adhesive like ACA or NCA. The process condition for obtaining more bonding strength than 0.6 Kgf, which is commercially required, was carried out as 40 kHz of frequency, 0.6 MPa of bonding pressure and 2 second of bonding time. The peel off test was performed for evaluating bonding strength which results in more than 0.8 Kgf.
Objective : Cases of a ruptured pericallosal artery aneurysm with a high risk of intraoperative premature rupture and technical difficulties for proximal vascular control require a technique for the early and safe establishment of proximal vascular control. Methods : A combined pterional or subfrontal approach exposes the bilateral A1 segments or the origin of the ipsilateral A2 segment of the anterior cerebral artery (ACA) for proximal vascular control. Proximal control far from the ruptured aneurysm facilitates tentative clipping of the rupture point of the aneurysm without a catastrophic premature rupture. The proximal control is then switched to the pericallosal artery just proximal to the aneurysm and its intermittent clipping facilitates complete aneurysm dissection and neck clipping. Results : Three such cases are reported : a ruptured pericallosal artery aneurysm with a contained leak of the contrast from the proximal side of the aneurysm, a low-lying ruptured pericallosal artery aneurysm with irregularities on its proximal wall, and a multilobulated ruptured pericallosal artery aneurysm with the parasagittal bridging veins hindering surgical access to the proximal parent artery. In each case, the proposed combined pterional-interhemispheric or subfrontal-interhemispheric approach was successfully performed to establish proximal vascular control far from the ruptured aneurysm and facilitated aneurysm clipping via the interhemispheric approach. Conclusion : When using an anterior interhemispheric approach for a ruptured pericallosal artery aneurysm with a high risk of premature rupture, a pterional or subfrontal approach can be combined to establish early proximal vascular control at the bilateral A1 segments or the origin of the A2 segment.
Purpose This study intended to introduce new approaches to identify the intellectual structure of supply chain management(SCM) researches, which combines author co-citation analysis(ACA) and social network analysis(SNA). Design/methodology/approach We searched RISS(www.riss.kr) and NDSL(www.ndsl.or.kr) database and collected 292 academic papers on supply chain management between 2001 and 2011. Among 9,637 references of these papers, we analyzed 1,848 references that were published by domestic authors. We produced a correlation matrix of 32 author co-citation matrix and conducted multi-variate statistical analysis such as factor analysis. We also performed social network analysis to identify the main researchers in SCM. Findings We found four main sub-areas of supply chain management research: SCM adoption factors, logistics, SCM performance, and SCM structure. We could present the authors who played important roles within the network by using SNA indicators. The finding of this research also suggests more collaborations among domestic researchers are required to overcome the low co-citation rates among domestic authors.

Nucleolar and coiled-body phosphoprotein 1 (NOLC1) is a phosphoprotein that transiently associates with the mature nucleolar H/ACA and C/D box small nucleolar ribonucleoproteins (snoRNPs). Several lines of evidence indicate that NOLC1 plays an important role in the synthesis of rRNA and the biosynthesis of ribosomes. In the present study, we examined the transcriptional regulation mechanisms that govern the expression of NOLC1. We first performed functional dissection of the NOLC1 promoter. We demonstrated that transcription factors NF-${\kappa}B$ and CREB could bind to the minimal NOLC1 promoter. This was demonstrated by electrophoretic mobility shift assays and chromatin immunoprecipitation. Mutagenesis and overexpression assays revealed that NF-${\kappa}B$ and CREB positively regulated the NOLC1 promoter. These findings may provide new insight into the mechanisms that regulate NOLC1 expression.
